The real secret is practice and confidence. On the test day you’ve gotta encourage yourself and be steadfast because the fear will be extreme or atleast it was for me. I prayed and also encouraged myself but self encouragement is very helpful if your not religious. It’s like your mind will try to play a trick on you so you gotta realize you’ve practiced and now it’s time to pass the test because failing isn’t an option. Remember that! Failing isn’t an option.

Just took my test today and passed first try with 4 errors
My evaluator was nice and I was barely nervous during the test
It feels like half the test is preparation/skill and the other half is pure mental (I also got lucky, conditions looked good for a Los Angeles morning)
I honestly didn't think I'd ever get my license but once I put my mind to it now I'm just frustrated I didn't get it years ago

I'm afraid. I had to give up driving 32 years ago because of a seizure disorder, but had brain surgery and have been seizure free for 2 yrs. and got my permit. I pray that i pass. I've been watching all these videos, praying that i do the right thing. It's like starting all over again as if i were a teenager, and i'm almost 53 yrs. old. Please pray for me, because i'm eligible to take my driver's road test soon and am very nervous. I've waited a long time to get my license because i had seizures for over 30 years.

I passed my test today! It was very easy, and I wasn’t nervous about the actual driving but the kind of instructor I would get but he was so nice! Practicing every day and watching these videos helped me out 😊
I passed my driving test yesterday at 31 (I have mild-to-moderate spastic diplegia, a form of Cerebral Palsy, so it’s taken far longer than I wanted).
It wasn’t too involved. I did some lane changes and some turns and that was it. No emergency stop. No backing up along the curb/parallel parking.
But the evaluator said I had excellent observations and I did really well, so… I’ll take it.
(For anyone curious: I drive using a steering knob and a Peddle Master for the accelerator; it attaches to the gas pedal. I then use my right foot for braking. It’s no good for gas because that requires a more precise and consistent pressure, with greater frequency, as opposed to braking, which for me is less involved)
Passed my test today with 2 errors, thanks very much for the vids. Those 2 errors were not checking blind spot for CYCLISITS. So, remember when you're turning right, always watch out for that.

took my first test today! failed only because my turns were slow sometimes + i sucked at turning my signal on all the way. it's okay to fail guys, just remember you can always practice and then retake!! :D

Yes.. flashing yellow means slow down and proceed thru intersection not stop (unless oncoming traffic then stop) then , just go slow.
Red flashing lights mean stop and the proceed like stop sign

Feb 22 is my test and second try!!!
I failed my 1st test 1/26 today, I do full stop in red light and I turn on my right signal and I proceed when it safe to turn. But still the examiner failed me and back to DMV.😔

At 7:13 in the backing part, what signal are you supposed to turn on?
You need to keep your right signal on the whole time. It alerts drivers behind that you are pulled over and gets their attention.

The most important advice for any test isn't area specific. Just make sure you are calm and don't overthink too much. It's stressful and any nervous feeling is completely reasonable but the actual driving test isn't any different than when you practice driving. It may even be easier. They'll take away points for small things like not stopping perfectly behind the stop sign and stuff like that but those small errors shouldn't cause you to fail. They're really just trying to determine whether you put people in danger on the road. Things like creeping through a stop sign, not looking when changing lanes, hitting a curb, not turning safely, that's stuff that could fail you. Also if they have you parallel park, bumping into something will likely fail you. Just try to breathe and remember you've driven before. Good luck!

@@FeverFo I was told that sometimes I would turn too wide or too narrow, and that I speeded (I would beg to differ but it’s their call). No criticals, just loss of too many points. I failed with 18!

@@RoadTestSuccess Quick update to anyone reading this, I just passed as of today 2/24/24
My first mistake was not learning the basic controls test (backing up, parallel parking, etc) please check your state handbook to know what it will look like for you. Secondly, schedule at a place where you can use YOUR OWN CAR!! Using someone else's car is much harder to navigate and know your size when parking and maneuvering. Furthermore, if you can use a backup camera, use it!! This will come in handy when doing any sort of backing-up because you will be VERY nervous about your blind spots. Also, read over your handbook carefully, note that you can get a lot wrong and still pass!! It's just down to the car, your knowledge, and your examiner (some are definitely nicer than others).
