    Welcome to another episode. This one is very different because there is no fancy intro and no b-roll. However, instead of the first person perspective that my GoPro usually provides, I had someone filming me to let you guys see me shooting street photography in Singapore at night. Because of that and the rainy weather when I wasn't able to film b-roll clips. I hope you like the episode anyway. That day it was super hot and it rained right before we were planning to hit the streets. The humidity was through the roof and because of that, the streets weren't as packed as the day before when I scouted the place. Nevertheless, it was good fun shooting and a special thanks goes out to CookiesnQReam for helping me out shooting the episode. Go and check out his channel here:

    YESSSSSS! This 3rd person view helps soooooo much to learn how to interact and stay invisible! So many Photographers only speak about how to approach shooting, and then you see some posed and fake clips. But this is the real deal because your really in the action and to see the result immediately afterwards is brilliant! I like this even more than the go pro because here is more to learn. Thank you so much!

    Love the 3rd person view combined with the gopro! We don't always need sweet b-roll ;)

    • @therealsirrobin
      @therealsirrobin  5 лет назад +1

      Haha. Thank you Chris! The thing is that for me it's kind of distracting when there is somebody else filming me. The person filming doesn't know what I am about to do and often I have to act very quickly and it's hard to predict.

    • @MadManchris
      @MadManchris 5 лет назад +1

      @@therealsirrobin We know, and we get it. It's also even more distractinf to people when there's a second camera shooting them! Once in a while it's just cool to see :)

    I know it's not always feasible but I really enjoyed seeing a perspective other than looking down the lens. For me as a budding street photographer it's interesting to be able to see how you move around and interact with people while shooting.
    Also, I'm going to have to shoot some P3200 now! I've shot Delta but your images looked a lot better to me than what I tend to see from that film.

    • @therealsirrobin

      Thank you! Yeah, Kodak P3200 looks pretty good, can't compare to Delta 3200 but I wanna try that especially in 120.

    I prefer these types of videos, so we can better understand how you approach shooting. Of course you need a cameraman and I guess it's not always possible.

    you are pulling some really good highlights there mate and the grain is at a minimal for that asa speed would that because of using a grain removal tool the reason im asking I don't scan my B&W i print them through a enlarger and I tried pushing 400 asa to 800 asa the prints came out pretty bad and a lot of grit and grain

    Love those Kind of Videos . Esspecial Thema Mix between 3rd Person and First person. But my qustion is how do U deal with with it when u See in u had a very good Chance of a way better picture but didnt find the right angle. Like the shot with the two ppl where sitting in the Side of the road with the steipped trousers. Immer think after seeing the 3rd Person View U should have gone really Low and use the stripped boarder or even the building behind to creat a contrast of lines. Personally i get abit frustrated when i get my images Back and See i had the Chance of a better picture. It IS so Bad that it get so mad that i dont want to get Out again...

    Ein kleiner deutscher Kommentar zwischendurch:
    Erstmal find ich es krass, dass du den Film auf 6400 pushen konntest ohne dabei in eine Körnungskatastrophe abzurutschen - die Körnung war nämlich erstaunlich angenehm. Darf ich fragen, welcher Entwickler das geschafft hat?
    Und zum anderen find ich es auch mal sehr erfrischend ein Video in eben diesem Stil zu sehen: Kein B-Roll? Kein Problem! Keine Fist Person? Ach, Schwamm drüber, die Kamera, die dich gefilmt hat hat auch interessante Einblicke in dein Fotoflow gegeben. Es war schon nicht uninteressant zu sehen, wie es denn aussieht, wenn man dich als Person sieht, wie du agierst und wie die Menschen nach dem Shot reagieren. Oder eben wie sie das wirklich nicht zu interessieren scheint.
    Lange Rede kurzer Sinn: Ich fand das Video erfrischend anders und interessant - 'ne tolle Episode!
    Liebe Grüße!
