No false nails and ink on hands made me watch on. I am so very glad I did. Such a fascinating and informative video.
You made my day!

Oh wow, I love to make my own shimmer sprays and never thought of using my brusho's for the color. Thanks!!! It would be a lot thinner than acrylic paint.
Your technique is so amazing👍 and great
Absolutely fabulous 😊
Excellent techniques video! Brushos are so fun and allow me to look far more creative than I am!
Lots of great ideas...used my Brusho powders only once after I found them too unpredictable. Will definitely have to try the stencil technique.

Qué interesante & agradable es tú post de tú trabajo artístico. Cuídate
EXCELLENT!
Thank you, that was very interesting :)
Great tutorial but I also love the two leaf stamps and stencil you used. Any chance you could tell me who they come from and if they are still available! thanks :)
.... I have something to share with you... Try using Gum Arabic after you have brushed your water down on your paper...
(This is beautiful when showing a reflection in the water).... once you wash your water down, then put the G. A. over that... then put your watercolor on that.... the effect is Slower... and it has a beautiful crackle-crystal effect... or a spider web effect... You'll see....
I love using Gum Arabic in with powder watercolors first (cake) then use it as a watercolor paint... ;) ... Schmincks Gold Powders are beautiful... Great for gold or silver Calligraphy.
Ooh - sounds beautiful! I'll have to give it a try! xxDina
So weird that Michael's doesn't carry these yet. I know I can buy them online, but I prefer to buy stuff in person.
I'm back again... I love this video...
... at 8:53 are you using Brusho powder there?
I was looking forward to see the Brusho powder reaction. At 3:27, I heard you say Brusho but at the same time I watched you using another brend. Could you please tell us if Brusho changed from their original round/white looking ?
Nice technique. Thanks
@Solange Melange - Brusho is still sold in the small white tubs. I had repackaged mine into bottles for easier application and storage. I have a video here: ruclips.net/video/uGKc2QcVh7A/видео.html
Dina, what a great intro to watercolor powders. I've never heard of them before! I was wondering, two of the brands don't come in bottles with nozzles. How would you go about flicking the dry powder onto the paper without a nozzle tip? Just also wanted to mention Luminarte also sells a brand of pigment powder that is also very pretty. You can find it at the ColourArte website.
Craftin Kate Here's a video to show what I've done with mine. ruclips.net/video/uGKc2QcVh7A/видео.html --Dina
Craftin Kate Those pigment powders are beautiful! They're in a different category than these though - they don't dissolve in water.
Thanks Dina, I'll check out the video and did not know they were not water soluble, great to know.
Great tutorial... lots of good information... I loved this video... "Thank YOU"....
I have a question: If money was no option, which powder would you prefer? Brusho? or Color Burst? I am about to seriously invest in one of these... I watercolor paint, and do Greeting Cards... and I want to invest in a Powder... I like their intensity... Thank you for your help.. ;)
Judi - I prefer the Brusho powders... I have some further reviews on my blog here: www.dinakowalcreative.com/2015/07/watercolor-powder-products.html
"Thank YOU" .... ;)
hello! which stamp did you use for the leaves that you coloured with bleach please? thanks x
Hi! It's a Penny Black stamp called wondrous (Product #40-321).
Great video! Are you using cardstock or watercolor paper? Thank you
Thank you! I think I was using Fabriano Studio Hot Press paper here. xxDina
Is that water colour paper? Thank you
Sorry! Yes, it is watercolor paper with a smooth surface.
Any information on where to get stencils? Especially the flower one.
Hi Linda! The peony stencil is from an older Martha Stewart set called Blossoms - looks like there are a few of them still around.
@@Splitcoaststampers thank you!
Can you tell me which martha stewart stencil that is?
+HandmadebyAmber sure! It's from a set of 4 stencils, and the set is called Vintage Decor Blossom.
You displayed several other brands but mainly used only ken oliver why is that? I did enjoy your tutorial though thanx
There's a pretty good balance of Colorburst and Brusho throughout - those two brands are just what I have the most of. The other brands can be used in the same ways. xxDina
where did you purchase that leaf stamp please? its lovely
Vonnie, which one do you mean?
Hi ....the leaf but I'm guessing you drew it?
With the Ken Oliver colours and the Sargent pearlescent mixing medium I have watched this several times its glorious 😀
Ok, I think it's this one... www.iostamps.com/TARA/G16136.html
+Vonnie Truscott that's great thank you ☺️
00oopps It's colorbust... just caught that... lol
I wonder what you are demonstrating because the on-screen narration is blocking your video.
