Always love your vids. I've done weddings on and off for the better part of 20 years and I can honestly say that would've hired you for my own. Cheers!
So you finally did it! Congratulations!!! Welcome to the club of DJs who bring our own power to every wedding! Since I started bringing my OUPES battery inverter to all my important gigs, it has already saved my butt on several occasions. Now if I show up to a venue and their power is even the slightest bit sketchy to me, I just use my own with zero worries. Also glad you didn't go with a Jackery. There are so many better and more affordable options today. As usual, you killed it here. I love seeing gig logs where DJs are crushing it with a pair of ev-50s. Great job!!
Rachel, what a great party....I had one last Saturday night with the same energy and like you said at the end of the video that is what it's all about. It's a high that many people don't get to feel as your in charge of the party and when it works, it works. Thank you for sharing this video..
Amazing, thank you! I’ve been wanting to get a power bank, and as a full time DJ in Asheville NC recovering from Helene, I desperately wish I had one, I just haven’t been able to spring for the Jackery. I really like this option , it’s much more affordable & especially as some of the areas I’ve been bringing music to still have no power 3 weeks later, I definitely need to grab one. Thank you for this & all of your videos. Side note, the whole first week when I didn’t have power at home I was charging my phone from my Everse 8 🎉
These are a GREAT option to have. I hope everyone is ok! I know that was one hell of a storm. Isn’t the EVERSE so great! Thanks for checking this out. Best of luck! 🙂
Great gig log and video! Wow thats great thinking for that backup battery pack during any sketchy power situations! Those danny max totems look really interesting -- I'd love to see a video on those and your thoughts!!!
I bring a Bluetti EB3 unit with me to every wedding that I do. I use it for wedding ceremonies. I use BOSE S1 Pro Battery powered speakers for ceremony and cocktail hours so I really only plug laptop and microphone systems into it. $199 on Amazon. I usually have 82% to 88% battery power left when I am done using it. So if the power ever goes out I could plug my main system into it for a while if I had to in a pinch. Weddings today are vastly different than 15+ years ago. The need for battery power is quite frequent at most of these weddings venues that weddings occur at these days for the ceremony.
nice...love the way you have the battery powered system setup for that if the power goes out, the pecron just takes over. Do you have this battery backup at every event ready to go? Also, like the matts over the wires for easy management....we need to upgrade our black carpets that we use...what matts do you use. I'd like to get something with a of weight on them (if that makes sense). Those Diversitech pads under the EVs are nice too....is there a specific model # you use for that. We also use water proof matts but I like the ones you have here as they get them off the ground a bit more than a flat matt. Thanks...all great ideas...thanks for sharing...enjoying your videos.

Huge fan of yours. Been following you for a long time. Only thing I would say is in/on this video I would had done a bigger sound system for this event? Personally I like the sound of a FBT dual 18 or a couple of single 21 inch subs. I understand of what your using and why but many including myself like the juicy low end and I personally think that can add the vibe to a thew events. For example if it was my wedding I would want a whopper of a sound system including 4x dual 18’s subs with tops with an 80hz crossover.
I have tremendous success with the EV50s. They are honestly amazing for 95% of my events. They crushed this event. It did cross my mind to use a larger set up, but I wasn’t going to do that without fully understanding what the power situation was gonna be. They told me they were having power installed, but I didn’t know if I could trust it and didn’t wanna bring an enormous system and have the power situation be a disaster. So total feel ya on wanting a more power system but couldn’t risk it. 😬 Appreciate your time to stop by and check this out a lot. Thanks for your comment and stopping by the channel.
I was thinking about this same concept a few weeks ago. The venue had "sketchy" low power. My Jackery is kind of small, so I wasn't sure if it would be able to keep up. Probably should have done it.
You definitely need to make sure it has enough capacity to power your whole system and not shut down if power peaks. You’ll also need to make sure that it’s charging faster than your drawing. I ran a six hour test at my house so I knew going in. This would be totally fine. It works great just make sure you have a battery bank that can handle the system you have.
Here's a recommendation rather than having to unplug and plug in your wash fx hex... Get 2 of the remote light Switches for Christmas lights because they're on the same frequency and plug in your wash effects hecks into those that are hooked up to the power cord and use one remote to turn them on and off with the power
Looked as though you were only pulling around 150 watts when you pulled the plug on the power. Not sure if you were playing full volume but I would of thought that this sort of setup would be using more than 150 for 2 laptops plus sound etc. Great video and great setup by the way and thanks for sharing
I’ve been checking out your battery-powered ceremony setup for a while now, and I finally decided to go with the JBL Eon One MK2 over the Everse since it seems like the best fit for me. I also really like that it has a 5-channel mixer. I’m very interested in the microphones you use and am ready to order them through your Amazon link. I have a few questions about your experience with them: 1. Can you scan for channels with these mics? 2. Have you used them indoors? 3. Did you test out the Comica UHF versions? 4. Have you tried separating the mics unto their own channel on an outboard mixer to get better control over volume and settings for each individual mic, especially if you’re using four mics? BTW I did order EVERSE 8 in white I believe I will have good use for it as well.
No you can’t scan. These operate on the 2.4GHZ spectrum. That’s the biggest issue with mics like these. They work great until they don’t. You don’t know when that is, because these operate on a congested frequency band. No have not used them indoors. No. This is the only Comica Product I own. I have other mics I use like the EV RE3. Yes. The cable I use splits the mic between two channels as shown here. ruclips.net/video/D4wyJ8hsmlY/видео.htmlsi=ce-cztI8hsjBUkC9
Where do you place the ceremony mic if the officiant does not have a binder? Small vertical mic stand without a boom between officiant and couple? Great video - Thanks for all your amazing DJ help videos. So useful! Ben
I ask them to always have a binder. I have an emergency binder with me just in case. If they refuse to use it, I hid mics behind ties, the V cut of dresses, suit jacket pockets, inside of shirts, music stands…. There are lots of places to put a mic.
I use my Sennheiser G4 112P packs for that. 🙂 I would never run a main setup wirelessly. I believe if you can run a wire, you should run a wire, but we definitely need a great wireless option and I’m glad you found one.
@@DJRachelLynch I’ve had pro wires fail on me many times. Got real tired of them. SKAA runs on its own frequency. But yes always have wires. But wiresless is a good alternative option if your wires fail💪🏽

Most outdoor events especially in people’s “backyards” have sketchy power. I have lost power 2x this year at legit venues. This eliminates any potential for that. The Furman doesn’t supply power this battery bank does.
I have been considering the Comica system, I know it has the 3.5mm out and you can split it between two mics, is that what your using is a 3.5mm splitter to split it between input 1 and input 2 on the Everse? Or how do you have it wired up? Thanks!
@@DJRachelLynch Super impressed with the Comica mics. Tried my Vimo C2 on the groom and officiant this weekend, as a 'silent test'. Didn't use the audio for live broadcasting as I'm not yet confident to use them as a primary source. I recorded the audio and no dropouts, no interference , and there were 50 sun umbrellas between me and the officiant (it was an extremely hot day) ! When testing them live before the ceremony I noted there is a very slight audio delay (the officiant wouldn't notice the delay), but I believe this helps to avoid feedback from the mics as the gain before feedback is very good. Super happy with the quality, just have to take a leap of faith and try them live now 😁
