Bro I’ve been binge watching your videos the last few days and I must say that you do an amazing job. I’ve been DJ’ing for over 20 years and I’ve learned a lot of new tricks and tips (especially with DMX)from you and I appreciate it a ton! I don’t DJ that much in NJ any more but it would be nice to one day bump into you guys . Oh and yes people bumping into the facade happens way more than people think 😂. Salute
No problem originally I played music off a blue tooth speaker for fun watching u grow as a day into a full company inspired me to do the same, now 3 years in I've done 12 weddings, a ton of bday parties, and 3 batmitsfas, thanks again..
You deliver such a high level! So awesome. Ive only been to one wedding with this level of production and it was a rager. It was in philly. I wonder if it was you lol. Back in 2013. Probably the first time I saw myself as a DJ. I loved it so much!! Starting with my small operation but I stay watching you for goals. Doing a pretty big wedding this weekend. Wont be anything like this. But probably just as many people. Are yall 25k a wedding? Thats what people should easily be paying for you to turn their wedding into a rager! Great job! Much respect! I wouldnt get away with this in my market lol.
You should step outside your comfort zone and try to deliver this type of hype. The crowd will feed off your energy so if you bring the fire, they will respond with the same spark!!
The Biggest thing to appreciate is how this man Barr kills it on the MIC!!!! When I DJ’d quinceñeras and proms, I had the crowd jumping w the music, then I did a wedding and REALIZED you’s got to have a good MC because there’s A LOT MORE TALKING in those events, and I sucked at it!!!!
the weddings I've played people schedule right up to the venue closing. The venue is usually rushing us out. Very hectic and stressful to get out and not forget anything. I need to up my skill level. This event looked like it was an event to end all events. That is how I want to play for my clients. Great work by your whole crew
Very nice reply. Most of my weddings are close to this energy. Barr just does it all the right way - lighting, song choice, remixes, regular edits and great on the mic. If I could only get DMX lighting down, another level. But to kill it, TAKE CHANCES!! You have got to take some chances. Find or make tracks that are fun. Find some wordplays segue type remixes. Play it as loud as you can. Also, use dinner music to wet their appetite. Subconsciously, I have them begging for the dance floor.. Make sure your dinner music is on point. Toe tappers that make you want to dance. Job well done Barr I had a few takeaways. Ty.
Brother, that has to be one of the best I have seen so far, props to you and your crew. You kept rockin the show, even when that accident happened. That's got to be frustrating, but my hats off to you for keeping it going. Continue success,!!
LOVED THIS GIG LOG!!!! Looks like the wedding was OFF THE CHAIN!!! Would you be willing to share your playlist history from that night? I have several weddings coming up and what i heard was FIRE!! I've been a mobile DJ for over 30 years and I was crunk watching this one!! Thanks in advance!!
Each wedding and customer is unique. This playlist may not work for the next one. With that said, everything Barr played should already be in your playlist especially with 30 years of djing?
I'm so happy you are back brother inspired by your gig log. Just got a new job giving me more money and Friday Saturday and Sunday off. I'm getting ready for a wedding this month on the 20th a Friday. I will definitely load up Thursday night so Friday it's already set. Being just me will make it a breeze. Need that circuit buddy!
I can't believe that they only have one circuit on that whole wall in an event space. That extension cord couldn't handle the amperage and needed to be a bigger gauge for the length that was run. A kill A Watt gauge is also handy to view your draw on a circuit too. Good job!
Killing it! For the strobe lights, do you ever need to ask for permission to use them incase of someone having epilepsy? Also, do you have any tips on lighting?
Fantastic job Barr. You keep inspiring me to acquire that killer instinct to DJ and be a performer and showman. Great songs and great mixing. Keep having fun hermano.
OK Barr, this was Epic for sure! Now I noticed your thing of allowing revellers to stand on your speakers a while ago. I always knew this is a classic disaster waiting to happen. Someone falls off and gets injured, your PI will not pay out and your DJ days are over. I know you have done it for years, but it's too risky now. That thing has to stop bro!
Hey man. Love the vid as always. As far the circuit cue, is seen one in real, the light will only light up if the circuit are in different phase (L1-L2) wich is good for sure. BUT if the they are on 2 separate braker but on the same phase (L1-L1 or L2-L2,depend on the brand braker panel but usually one space appart) it doesn't work. Bogus product. Like on your wall you where telling it is all on one circuit, there maybe more than one. From yours friendly electrician :)
As an electrician, I was going to comment on this very topic as well. Not a bad product if you're trying to balance the load across not just circuits but also phases but it does suffer from the shortcoming you mentioned. I bought one as a joke for a local air conditioner technician that does his own electrical work. He cheats by not running clean dedicated circuits to his split-phase units but instead, drills to the back of outlets & picks up the circuits used to power the outlets. The facility he does this work for has called me on multiple occasions to say the newly installed units he installed aren't powering on & ask can I come to troubleshoot it for them. Turns out that while he cheated & picked up from two separate outlets, they were either both on the same circuit or the same phase. I've tried talking to him multiple times for him to do it correctly but he is set in his ways. At least now he can test to see if he is picking up from two separate phases with this circuit cue then the facility can stop calling me to do janitor work cleaning up behind this guy.
Outstanding mix of music to really keep a mainstream crowd having a good time over a night.. I know you guys make the big bucks doing it but as for me I'm just going to stay a bedroom DJ. LOL
Super appreciate the link for the Circuit Cue, copped one immediately, unfortunately I need it for this Friday so I'll have it for my next gig @ The Factory in Long Island. Also, are u running ur tops and sub direct into the SRT? I didn't see a soundboard for ur speakers and mics. Great info, keep those vids coming.
