I've always liked trains, but after playing my first train sim I have become fascinated with them. I love your channel, especially your septa vids. Thanks for uploading!
Wow what an awesome railscene at Princeton Junction. The high speed and local services are impressive to say the least. Wish our rail system here could offer up a service like that. Thank you for sharing and looking forward to many more. Definitely my favourite US location. Just a pity VRF don't place a live cam there.
Awesome catch! I can't wait to see the new Acela hit top speed soon! Also glad to see some of the NEC train consist are back at 9 cars. It was a tad bit weird seeing them with 7, but that's just me.
Is this stretch of track at Princeton junction the best and the straightest on the Northeast corridor seems over the years that's where they do their testing
Every car has motors but for the married pairs the truck nearest the pantograph is unpowered. The single cars have motors on both trucks. They were delivered with DC traction and all axles powered, but since the AC conversion in the '90s gave each axle more power they thought they could do with 6 powered axles per pair instead of 8. The multilevel MU order includes roughly half power cars and half trailers/cabs, and they are meant to work in mixed consists with existing multilevels, so that will be a different story in a few years I guess.
The new Acela just does not do it for me. The horn is meh and the paint scheme seems cheap and plasticky. But progress is progress, what can you do 🤷🏻♂️
I agree. I wish they kept the paint scheme from the original animation with the black around the windows. This paint scheme seems more “budgeted”, for a lack of better words, than luxurious.
I've always liked the look and sound of them (at least with AC traction...I don't really remember what they sounded like before). It's weird to think that in a few years, the only place to see Arrows of any kid will be on the west coast, assuming Amtrak California continues to run their ex-NJT Comet 1b's (aka Arrow 1's).
The Avelia Liberty looks amazing at high speeds
Great job! I miss watching trains at Princeton. Hope to get back there soon!
What is there to watch just NYC-Trenton line and the occasional regional train flying by

4:40 Why is the Metroliner cab car directly behind the locomotive?

First! I like the east coast trains! Too bad I can’t see them. They go so fast!

Lol “top speed”. I really wish we had better infrastructure to support its actual speed.
Great video
15:43 sounds amazing lol
22:05 as well lol
If they ever get the reversing loop finished in North Brunswick, it'll reduce the number of NJT trains that go further south into Princeton.
4:30 - No headlights!.......?
Why was there a Cabcar in between the ACS-64 and Passenger Amfleets
They were moving them so other lines can use them. They do that all the time
equipment transfer for springfield service
Awesome catch!

Awesome! Do more of these railfans!
2:33 the VVVF sound is remembering to Hitachi EMU on Indonesia
5:20 seemed pretty rare with the cabcar behind the ACS engine. What timepoint does the dinky swap happen at?
after midnight
At about what time/what days do the Avelia Liberty trains run through Princeton Jct?
Nice name
Love the horn at 8:09! Which kind of horn is it? K5LA? Also like the horn at 13:10. Is that a wabco?
It is a K5LA but fouled & yes that is a Wabco AA-2
8:09 is Cab car 6050, the one with the 1L horn.
Excellent, LOVE IT!!!
I love the sound of the Wabco AA2, it's the horn on the Dinky's (I forget what the specific trains are called, it's slipping my mind atm)
Arrow III
The Dinky currently uses a small selection of Arrow III cars.
The trains are called Arrow IIIs
Its look like Indonesian GE locomotives horns (just partly)
Where is this being stored?
Arrow IIIs with IGBT Motors? And also, do all cars have motors or trailers

@@de-fault_de-fault It is actually the truck under the cab end of the pantograph car that is unpowered, but everything else is correct.
They have GTO inverters actually. They were rebuilt in the 90s before IGBT was used in railroad applications.

you americans and your horns
Avelia Liberty: 15:21
THANK YOU!!
Amtrak loco 653 has the passenger cab car
Those NJ transit EMUs have pretty good acceleration!
The thumbnail is the banner for your Facebook! 😅 I gotta try going to Princeton sometime.
Most awesome vid!!!!!!!
Спасибо за это видео Благодарю! Молодцы!!!
What time at night was this
Is it just me or do the Arrows have a better look than the ALP-46/45DP’s, PL42AC’s, and Geeps? (Except the ALP-44’s 😆)

Perhaps that has to do with self-propulsion?
9:59 that noise 😨
I'm so jealous! 😭😭😭😭
1:33, 10:45 , 15:58 , 19:47 the EMU train horn like a CC 201 & CC 203 (GE U-18C & GE U-20C) Locomotive from indonesia 😅😅😅
Early squad is here
Hmm, didnt know Amtrak had a Princeton stop
Nice
5:32 ooh a cabcar on a regional 🤔
Oh wow.
Any body on those trains? Not too many it seemed.
