Good video. I was skeptical but it got it for it small size to carry around the house to use with my iPad. It actually works well on Web DJ(for iPhone) Speaking of WebDJ, I am using the iPhone version on my iPad and it seems to work well. You expand full screen so it looks it was made for you iPad.

Huh, this is actually a good practice piece for digital DJing, or for letting your kid try out DJing if he/she thinks it's their thing!

I have a DDJ RZ plugged into studio monitors and a couple drum machines & synths. Needless to say I have cables running all over the place. So I've absolutely had it with having to unplug all my gear to take it into the backyard for a BBQ or to a family event at my relatives or homies house. I mainly use my gear for recording podcasts for mixcloud or making tunes and mash ups.
A few days ago I bought a powered speaker tower on wheels because unplugging my monitors has gotten tiresome. This speaker tower combined with this little guy is exactly what I was looking for. Now I can leave the flagship (DDJ-RZ) in the studio plugged into all my gear but have a cool little mobile rig for BBQs and wot not.
Thumbs up from me. 👍👍 Obviously not trying to rock a proper venue with this gear but perfect for lil family and friend events such as BBQ's, birthdays, lil backyard weddings, mini raves (if you party like we then you already know what I mean) or just hanging with the homies. Dope! I'm getting mine this weekend! Boom!

Thanks a lot - this video helped. Could you make a tutorial on how to actually use beatport link with the ddj 200. I can't seem to find the actual charts and the same goes for soundcloud.

Like what's fkd is you need a subscription to use your controller, certain aspects are prohibited from using unless you are paying to use all the features.. like I paid for this I should be able to use it without any bs subscription ugh

i am a complete beginner and was looking at some decks. stuck between the ddj 200 or the inpulse 200, any recommendations?
Question, when using with Rekordbox does the Rekordbox software record the mix in Stereo to the computer like in normal use with the DDJ 1000 or other controllers? I would assume so because its recording the internal mix but I would like confirmation. I'm interested in this controller for when I'm traveling. I travel a lot in my job. I own a DDJ 1000 and I was going buy a DDJ 400 to take with me on trips but this controller may be sufficient and easier to pack in a carry on. If anything nice to have as a device for making cue points test mixes etc. I'm most interested in practicing mixing techniques and deep diving into Rekordbox software. But I do like the idea of DDJ 400 being closer to DDJ 1000 in design and features. I used to be a professional DJ that was strictly vinyl. I recently got back into DJing as my main hobby. Thoughts?
Almost 100% certain it does as it's recording the files internally, shall investigate for you though :)
Did you say you need a dongle to connect up to rekordbox ? A already have a ddj 1000 hooked up to rekordbox just now
I slagged this off no end when I got it as I had a galaxy s8+ & the bluetooth wont connect yet until July. But after begrudgingly plugging it into my laptop its awesome. Not at all toy like. I got this cos it's been 10yrs since my last vinal decks. When this is android compatible it will be ideal for carrying about & some mini rigs. Well built & well priced.
Can use it with edjing and algoriddim djay on android for the time being :)

@@DannyMoreComedy On Algoriddim you have to use the USB cable rather than bluetooth. Edjing mix worked for me by clicking into the settings and scroll down to Connect to the DDJ 200. Both of these tested working on a Samsung Galaxy S9
@@djholland4235 it keeps aging me to put a passkey/number on the ddj via bluetooth no idea why. I'll get it working eventually via bluetooth
@@DannyMoreComedy I didn't pair the unit to my phone first. Leave that bit and just let the app handle the pairing, it worked perfectly for me. Hope this helps :)
Recently bought DDJ 200 and the jogwheel only does pitch bend. My unit does not allow me to do basic scratch. What did I miss?
been waiting for someone to show the ddj200 with rekordbox and i think you are first! :) cheers and thanks! i will get one to use as backup for my ddj1000 and use it also for maybe prep mode adding hot cues/cue points, making playlists and testing mixes...all while sitting down or in bed! lol! now i just have to remap browse and load tracks to buttons i dont know which ones yet :)

With the cables they send it can only play in mono but you can get around that with a soundcard

The connect to laptop is the greatest feature of it you can almost use all the rekordbox features.
Is the output to the speakers stereo or mono?

Hey greetings from Miami I love this controller then there is an action that I'm not very sure how it works maybe you can explain it to me in the auto mix when I use the software I can select the left or right screen and the blending automatically does it every time that I touch that option on the screen in the software but when I do it in the controller if it wants to move the fader to the left to the right The mixed ring does not work simply what makes it cut and and start the other song Without mixing them is there any option so that I can use the controller and I can move the slider and thus do the automix let me know thank you
Do you know if you absolutely have to use Rekordbox with this equipment? I have Djay app on my MacBook Pro and I like it a lot because it integrates with Spotify. Any idea if I can just use Djay app instead?

IT IS REALLY COOL. YOU CAN USE THIS WITH REKORDBOX. I have the xp1 so this with that will perfect small portable set up . i will look at one used in a couple of months

Yeah, the XP1 is just another controller so both can be plugged in to control Rekordbox.
I really need help. Everything is set up correctly, phone settings correct yet I can’t get any sound through my speakers when using the WeDJ app. The speakers are working fine, I can play my music from my phone library through the speakers so that isn’t the issue. I really don’t know what to do

Joshua Edrich sure, you can plug it to the mac and download rekordbox for example, it turns itself into performance mode automatically when it recognizes ddj200 connected

Yep, works fine with any USB power bank as long as the output is 5v and 500mA

Peter Purcell it the blackweb part speaker ( they sell it an Walmart and online) is really good for volume and has an aux input for if the Bluetooth battery dies also pretty light and easy to cary

I cant work out where to import new music for the wedj app. Im using djay because i can use my playlist from soundcloud, however there is no master tempo on the app. Is there either a) a way to import songs on the wedj OR b) where iis the master tempo on the djay app, without engaging sync?
Master tempo is the little music note icon next to the faders in Djay :) There's an add tracks button at the bottom left when you're in the select song window in WeDJ. Hope this helps!

The WeDJ will automatically set gain, you can adjust the trim under the XY effects pad to the left hand side if you want to change it.

There's adapters for everything. Depending on what you have. RCA to 1/8". 1/4" to RCA to 1/8".
Digital to 1/8". If you have speakers there is definitely an adapter for it. If you're just starting out DJing eventually you'll have a wide collection of adapters lol.
