This work was inspired by Viatores Quartet performances. The perfect harmony of their sounds filled the venue like a soft circle. So I painted this piece on a round canvas. The motif flowers in the picture are all chrysanthemums. Chrysanthemums, along with cherry blossoms, are symbolic flowers of Japan, and are used in various designs, such as the coat of arms of the imperial family and the patterns of kimonos. Also, the kanji "Maru(丸）'' in the picture means a round object or circle.
この作品はViatores Quartetの演奏からインスピレーションを得て制作しました。彼らの奏でる音の完璧なユニゾンが、まるで丸い円の様に会場を包んでいました。そこでこの作品を丸いキャンバスに描きました。絵の中のモチーフの花は全て菊です。菊は桜と共に日本を象徴する花で、皇室の紋章や着物の柄など、様々に意匠化されています。また、絵の中の漢字の「丸」は丸い物体や円を意味します。
