Introduction to Japanese painting Art supply store in Kyoto

In this video, I introduce a Japanese painting supplies store in Kyoto and a few tourist spots in Kyoto. I hope this video will be useful for those who are just starting to paint in Japanese painting.

I have been a customer of this art supply store for a long time, but this time I asked them not only to purchase art supplies but also to cooperate in filming an introductory video for the art supply store. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them again for willingly accepting the filming.
I am currently working in Germany to promote Japanese painting with the aim of spreading Japanese painting supplies in Europe in the future. As part of this activity, I made this video so that people who are interested in Japanese painting in the future can better understand Japanese painting supplies and make it easier to purchase them.
I heard from the owner of Ebisuya Art Supplies that the demand for Japanese painting supplies in Japan is decreasing rapidly, and there are concerns that Japanese painting supplies may not be able to survive in the future. Due to rising prices and rising raw material costs, art materials for Japanese painting, which are not cheap to begin with, have also risen in price, making them difficult to purchase. In addition, some suppliers are closing their businesses due to aging and a lack of successors. The current situation of Japanese painting and Japanese art materials is by no means good.
Personally, I believe that it is necessary to spread this beautiful culture to the world so that it does not fade away. In this way, I am working to spread the word about Japanese painting, but my power is still small and I have almost no influence on people. However, I hope that my current small activities will bear fruit and develop greatly in the future.

私は以前からこの画材屋さんの一顧客でしたが、今回は画材の購入だけではなく画材屋の紹介ビデオ撮影への協力をお願いしました。撮影を快く引き受けて下さり、この場を借りて改めてお礼申し上げます。
私は現在、将来的に日本画の画材をヨーロッパで広める事を目的として、日本画の普及活動をドイツで行っています。その活動の一環として、今後日本画に興味を持つ人が日本画の画材をより理解し、購入しやすいように今回のビデオを作りました。
エビスヤ画材さんの店主の方からお聞きしたところ、今日本では日本画の画材の需要がどんどんと減少しており、今後日本画材が存続できない可能性を危ぶまれています。物価の高騰や原材料費の値上げに伴い、元々安価ではない日本画の画材も値上げとなり、購入が厳しくなっています。また供給者側も高齢化や後継者不足などで閉業される方がいます。現在日本画と日本画材のおかれている状況は決して良好とは言えません。
私の個人的な思いとしては、美しい文化が廃れないように世界へと広げる必要があると考えています。そうやって日本画の普及活動を行っている私ですが、まだまだ私の力は小さく人々への影響力も殆どありません。ですが今の小さな活動が将来は実を結んで大きく発展することを願っています。
