- In this episode, we are wrapping
up some coolant lines and beefing up the shocks and then we FULL SEND Merikart, the
junkyard, literbike, V-twin powered, tandem seat, offroad buggy crosskart.
It performed great!
The new Dynojet Power Commander V and Dynojet Autotune made it run and sound way
better.
Suspension and steering are working great and I couldn't be happier.
Can't wait to take it to a side-by-side track in the very near future!

I’d definitely look at installing window nets also or maybe use wrist restraints, last thing you wouldn’t want to do is stick your hand out if you roll it over.
If you want to afford more equipment I let you in on how to do that buy a recirculating coolant system for your bandsaw so you're not spending the family fortune on wd40🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 with those savings you could buy a whole machine shop
10/10 on intro and cart👏👏👏👏
Thanks pal!
And where is your seat belts??? You should have five point harness straps front and back! That back seat doesn't look too comfortable! Lol. The back seat should have a bucket seat in it.
Funny you mention that! I've been looking at the back seat and trying to figure out how to fit a bucket seat while leaving enough room for the passenger to still fit. It is pretty tight in there. I may have to build a seat that provides more comfort and restraint
Nice :) the most important is the geometry of the axles. I'm just planning to build a two-seater buggy, where I want to do a multi-link rear axle😊
Thanks! Sounds cool!
I bought a tl100r to put in a razor I'm building so it's cool to see your progress. I haven't removed from bike frame yet but I thought the hoses coming from the oil filter mount went to an oil cooler built into the lower coolant radiator. Do those lines actually circulate water around oil filter mount instead? I was surprised you connected them with a T.
Yes the oil cooling system just uses coolant flowing around the oil filter passage. If you look at where the line enters the radiator it is essentially the same as connecting them with a T.
Sounds like a fun project you have there!
Hi there very nice build you did looks fun did you get the chain slip fixed also would you consider making me four of those shock spacers? what brand are you shocks any way cool build glad to see you get it done.
I'm about to start building a chain roller/tensioner that I think will fix the issue. Not sure what these shocks are, they were in a big bundle of parts I bought and they don't have any manufacturers markings.. I wouldn't mind making some more spacers, I would just need dimensions of the spring/piston shaft to make them fit. I built mine out of some 3.5" aluminum rod.
You should put padding on the top bars around where your helmet would hit. On both sides and top, you should put netting so your arms can't fly out if you roll it!
I do plan to put padding on the roll bars, especially around the passenger. I'm currently installing harnesses. Nets sound like a good plan too now that I visualized arms flying out during a roll-over lol
I’m looking to build a 3 seater like this, one in the front, 2 in the back
That sounds fun. Biggest challenge is keeping it short enough to handle relatively well
Looks amazing!!
Thanks!
So sickkkk!!!
Let's go piss off the neighborhood
So sick.
Thanks bro!
Good job!
Thanks!
Great job though, I'd love to have one! How much would you charge to build another one? Lol
Lol so many things will be done differently when I build another one. Also if I actually built and sold these I feel like I would make about $0.25/hour
Pretty cool, worked out real neat! Some suggestions. Roll bar padding in the helmet area, for when things get a bit loose, and a passenger grab rail behind you. Top work! 🇦🇺
Thanks man! Definitely have more plans for padding/harnesses/better seating for the passenger. Stay tuned for that and the next build!
Full Send!!! Merikart is one bad M'fer great work!!!
Thanks buddy!
Congratulations from Oz! That thing is awesome. Those SV/TL engines are sweeet!
Thanks! Yeah they are. Great torque throughout the rpm range and they sound awesome. 11k rpm v-twin... enough said
Super
Absolutely gnarly bruddha. Great video and great build.
Thanks man!
Looks great! Love the tandem seat arrangement, don't see a lot of those. Nice fab work on the adapters too! Makes me cringe a bit seeing you drive it w/o 4 or 5 point harnesses, glad to hear you'll be installing them though. BTW, I installed the Power Commander and Autotune on my SXS to Snowmobile engine conversion, works great!
Thanks! I already started installing harnesses. I only planned on preliminary offroad testing and not going to hard with m'lady in there, that's why I didn't give it the full beans with her in back. Thankfully the only thing booping the frame was the gopro on top of her helmet. Next rip she will be very secured. Thanks for the comments man!
@@provinsgarage I'm really conscious of that, my brother rolled one of our off road carts years ago and the frame rolled onto his head. His ear was barely hanging on, luckily that was the only injury :o Looking forward to seeing you go all out with it!
