Looking to set up a vacuum pump on my Supercharged Challenger to hook to the PCV valve instead of routing that back to the Whipple. Would this work for that with a catch can? Need a part number for the harness that plugs into the pump
The pump vacuum sensor is a 2 wire one wire goes to relay to turn pump off were does the second wire go? Or is not needed. This setup is going in a 67 camaro
@jbdaytona7853 This vacuum sensor is three wire. A 5V power, ground, and signal. The signal goes to the pdm and the pdm turns on off the vacuum pump. I’ve seen two wire ones where one wire goes to ground and the other goes to the relay to turn the pump,on.
Will use the stock z06 brake vacuum sensor to signal the PDM to turn it on. A bit convoluted, but could just plumb in a generic vacuum sensor from summit and that would do the job.
@@musclebone7875 here is a link to the non GM version of the same pump. It says it is capable of generating enough vacuum standalone. www.hella.com/microsite-electronics/en/UP30-32-vacuum-pump-117.html
Love the clean look Joel, excited for the next video.
The Browns Thanks!
Ya vi la posición de instalación. Feliz Navidad.
Great stuff 👏 👍
It's coming along 👌👌👌

Great any idea what the duty cycle of the booster is?
The UP30 is rated for 1200 operating hours. I figured if it is good enough for a Z06, it’s good enough for my build.
What are you going to use to control it?
@highlanderc going to control it with the PDM once I understand the pin assignments on the booster vacuum sensor.
Do you go over the wiring of this setup in any video?
Not yet, probably start the engine harness install around January then chassis harness after that.
What are u using to turn on the pump?

What vacuum pump is that that you are using
It’s a stock GM C7 z06 pump, it is the same pump as a Hella UP30
@@JoelKSLC how vacuum does that pump make?

@@JoelKSLC thanks
Very informative. Need to add add booster on my XJ220 project.
