    Great job. The "horror" shape is a combination between diminished, double harmonic (hungarian minor) and a smart use of minor scales notes out of key. I don't know if you are educated in music theory, but the result is the same. Once again, great stuff.

    That makes sense. So THAT's why I like this kind of music so much? haha I mean, I worked as a chef between 2005 and 2012, and in the kitchen, they always had the same radio station on, and it drove me insane. I actually stopped listening to music for 5 years because of this! So the thing was, the songs were insanely repetitive, with insultingly simple lyrics that are all saying the same thing across every song on the radio station, and they played the same songs like 10 times over per shift, so like 50x per week I'd hear the same 5 or 6 songs. In 2012, they were still playing almost the exact same songs as they were playing in 2005, and I didn't like them the first time! Looking back on it now, I don't know how I coped with it, lol. It was utterly maddening.
    So it makes sense that I would end up liking something unpredictable and weird like this Sekiro music. Thanks for this! Oh and I said I stopped listening to music for 5 years. Well, I STILL can't listen to music with words in it, haha. That explains why I drifted towards orchestral music, since the singing in that, to my English ear, doesn't make a damn bit of sense, it just sounds good. And that's the way I like it, because most lyricists are dumb.

    • @AlexMoukala
      @AlexMoukala  4 года назад

      Seems like working there ruined a big chunk of music for you (can't blame you though, what you've gone through sounds terrible), but there's some pretty interesting and complex stuff out there where vocals are an amazing addition to an already outstanding arrangement.
      Periphery's track "Reptile" is a good example: ruclips.net/video/fQQxhyhdg-w/видео.html

    2. You said it wasn't a scale at 1:30+ then state it's a chromatic scale....
    I came expecting much but from these two things you state, I will go elsewere... nothing helpful here if you contradict yourself.

    this absolutely doesnt help, you dont explain how to use the stuff, how to write the music how to "USE THE DISSONANCE" which is what you put on the title, you just show what you've done and what sounds you used and THATS IT, not helpful for someone who wants to figure out how to compose this style.

    • @berserker2551
      @berserker2551 День назад

      I finally found a realistic comment
      Many RUclips videos and paid courses have this problem.
      I have bought many courses and some books and always the same.
      They do not explain anything, they only dictate and do not explain how to make music with the resources of music theory
      They "explain" everything to you very briefly and nothing more.
      They don't explain how to do things and you are always in doubt.
      After 6 years dedicating myself to music I have it more than confirmed
      And recently I realized that if you don't have a solid base of knowledge and experience "without having to be an expert" you are going to have a lot of difficulty understanding what you see on the internet.
      I'm going to start taking private classes with composerew because I don't know what else to do to understand how music works
      I love Alex Moukaka, he is a good guy and I like his initiative to make videos so that it is useful for other composers
      But these videos do not explain in depth
