This track would've been impossible to write without those Clusters, so special thanks to RedRoom Audio for creating Palette Orchestral FX!
You can get the library here if you're interested: redroomaudio.com/product/palette-orchestral-fx/
Alex, thanks for your tutorial, you are excellent teacher and help me so much. Also thanks for the tip for Orchestral FX, it sounds really great!
im making a deathstep track i needed this as i want to add dark orchastra as main componant of the drop
It absolutely has that apocalyptic orchestral type feel to it. I love it.
I'm writing a horror film music in the near future so this is perfect :) thanks
me too
good luck ;)
how r u guys doing now?
I finally found the channel I was looking for, thanks for THIS! Just don't die
Looking out for something like this.... don't know how many years I've been searching out ..for a perfect tutorial thank you.. Alex
Bless you for libraries in description, bro. Its wonderful
8:10 gives me goose pumps
My god, you've come so far! This is so great, thank you
YES!
You’re a master! Bravo and thank you for sharing your gift!
You are awesome man! Love your content!
You are a brilliant talent man!
This is sooo beautiful !
Thanks Alex for another detailed tutorial.
I appreciate this alot, I love your work
Waiting for some orchestral deathstep
bruh how did i find both u guys here lmao
Incredible stuff! Thank you!!!
Here in The Netherlands we have a symphonic black metal band called Carach Angren. And they always have a horror atmosphere. They call themselves horror metal. And yeah they are just amazing when it comes to creating atmosphere. The solo violins in their music is a real violin
Phenomenal track! Phenomenal teacher! I'm relatively new to writing and recording orchestral music (I've released 2 orchestral albums, so far). At the moment, I'm working on an album of spooky orchestral-music. So, not only is this video exactly what I was looking for but I've just downloaded Palette Orchestral FX. Thanks, Alex. All your videos are incredibly inspirational.
Amazing video and amazing composition, friend! Gonna trying to do something with that knowledge soon!
I'm amazed. This channel is a true gem
This track is awesome!
I love you and your content!! Keep it up..
mannnn thank love you channel your the best thank you 💖💖
Awesome video bro. Thanks for sharing.
Love it!!!!
Love the dark choir🔥
ur a beast at this
Man, the cimbasso has to be one of, if not my absolute, favourite brass instruments. Verdi, we thank you :)
Cello is my favourite (western) string instrument, unless you count piano as a string instrument.
Anyway, *I appreciate this, Alex. Thank you.*
Great job. The "horror" shape is a combination between diminished, double harmonic (hungarian minor) and a smart use of minor scales notes out of key. I don't know if you are educated in music theory, but the result is the same. Once again, great stuff.
Love your Music
This will be an insane training for me. I've got a big background in harmony, this is my strength but also my weakness because I never allow myself to go out of theory. I'll try those type of music as a "healing method" :P

Sen nasıl bir Kralsın !!!
WOW; you the man
Gosh I jumped on the chair when I heard that, wow!
bro you are amazing where you been all my life haha
I honestly appreciate this example, if anything, Palette Orchestral FX can be good for the realistic Cluster Orchestra.
bro just the intro slapped me twice dainnmmm
Nice, I like that sound and am soon going compose something similiar, maybe a little less epic.
Thank you Alex!
AMAZING !!
what plugin do you use to make choir?
not sure if u can review Amadeus Symphonic Orchestra library
🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm going to watch this as soon as I get to my job lol. I live in Germany, so my time is off.
What instruments do you use in fl studio because i want to get a creepy horror opra or like low brass instruments to use
Horror Tutorial 🙌
A little off topic. Who is doing the cover-artwork for your tracks? Cheers, Seni.
You'll find the artists listed on the video descriptions al the time!
Hey bro Can you make a remake of Arrival to the earth please???
I'm just wanting to make a theme for the villain in a d&d campaign to play whenever they're near the players.
Never tell them they see them. Just play it and watch them lose their minds. 😈
*Dude did you get New York to do the vocals??!*
How do I get these vocals?
How long did it take to create this project?
how do u made the voices? sounds so fucking dark
minute 8:11
This song is more complex/grand than what I usually hear in horror movies. It would fit really nicely in an action movie, during the scene where the villain bursts on to the scene & kicks the shit out of the hero.
google cleric beast ost )
The bass is important in music theory.
Graham Plowman is the master of horror no one come even close!
Dude what library were those choir textures??
Was that palette?
RedRoom Audio Palette Orchestral FX!
That makes sense. So THAT's why I like this kind of music so much? haha I mean, I worked as a chef between 2005 and 2012, and in the kitchen, they always had the same radio station on, and it drove me insane. I actually stopped listening to music for 5 years because of this! So the thing was, the songs were insanely repetitive, with insultingly simple lyrics that are all saying the same thing across every song on the radio station, and they played the same songs like 10 times over per shift, so like 50x per week I'd hear the same 5 or 6 songs. In 2012, they were still playing almost the exact same songs as they were playing in 2005, and I didn't like them the first time! Looking back on it now, I don't know how I coped with it, lol. It was utterly maddening.
So it makes sense that I would end up liking something unpredictable and weird like this Sekiro music. Thanks for this! Oh and I said I stopped listening to music for 5 years. Well, I STILL can't listen to music with words in it, haha. That explains why I drifted towards orchestral music, since the singing in that, to my English ear, doesn't make a damn bit of sense, it just sounds good. And that's the way I like it, because most lyricists are dumb.
Seems like working there ruined a big chunk of music for you (can't blame you though, what you've gone through sounds terrible), but there's some pretty interesting and complex stuff out there where vocals are an amazing addition to an already outstanding arrangement.
Periphery's track "Reptile" is a good example: ruclips.net/video/fQQxhyhdg-w/видео.html
bro how do you get these, they are mad mad mad expensive
Eat pasta xD.
Hi I have a general question, do you eq your reverbs plugins as well? or any mixing plugin? please help me solve this, Thanks Alex!
I use the damp / high cut / low cut knobs in my Reverbs and that's usually enough for the most part.
I might EQ if I have to, but I always do it very lightly.
@@AlexMoukala Ok thanks Sir!
Dissonance: to make one want to shit their pants.
Good boss fight music for kingdom hearts👻
What is the game of this program?
My favorite horror scores for movies are Predator (1987) and Alien (1979). Give it a listen for maximum creep. :)
Don't know if the Chicken thing is due to Buckethead, but you would like: Destroyer - Buckethead ( the really long title )
free clusters pluguns? hugs from brazil
Guys its confusing and to much for beginners.. im telling you, just practice with easy soundtracks. Build up in a easy way... you learn by doing everytime! Its impossible to make that jump where Alex is without doing easy stuff first. Your music gets more Variations when just pracitce every day:)
Um...wow?
'ít's your goal to make them shit their pants' X)
i love your accent, where are you from?
Italy
Bro flp plz
Wtf layer 👍
I'm trying to make evil-ish music and make it a bit more predictable at the same time.
🤌
ZEUS, I CAME TO DESTROY YOU!
If you wanna talk real horror music you have to listen to this: ruclips.net/video/HmkBpCBLnCg/видео.html
gives me god of war music vibes
1. No one ever said it only takes minor chords to create horror music. for example hush little baby on a celeste.
2. You said it wasn't a scale at 1:30+ then state it's a chromatic scale....
I came expecting much but from these two things you state, I will go elsewere... nothing helpful here if you contradict yourself.
4:14 am
Yeah im just gunna watch this last one.
this absolutely doesnt help, you dont explain how to use the stuff, how to write the music how to "USE THE DISSONANCE" which is what you put on the title, you just show what you've done and what sounds you used and THATS IT, not helpful for someone who wants to figure out how to compose this style.
I finally found a realistic comment
Many RUclips videos and paid courses have this problem.
I have bought many courses and some books and always the same.
They do not explain anything, they only dictate and do not explain how to make music with the resources of music theory
They "explain" everything to you very briefly and nothing more.
They don't explain how to do things and you are always in doubt.
After 6 years dedicating myself to music I have it more than confirmed
And recently I realized that if you don't have a solid base of knowledge and experience "without having to be an expert" you are going to have a lot of difficulty understanding what you see on the internet.
I'm going to start taking private classes with composerew because I don't know what else to do to understand how music works
I love Alex Moukaka, he is a good guy and I like his initiative to make videos so that it is useful for other composers
But these videos do not explain in depth
how about you start a project from start instead of showing us directly
Wanna write for scary movies? Listen to metal...... LOL
hi sir Moukala - im not fluent in english - i follow your tutorials and i just want mention one thing - talk slower please - thanks a lot
is it just me or this just sounds bad and not "horror"
It's just you.
@@frequencydata i don't feel it like horror stuff at all
@@xChikyx It's definitely a specifc sub-genre of "horror". In his own words "Dark Orchestral music a-la Bloodborne".
