    This is an incredibly well-made course, I learned so much from this!
    I just have one question though: why do we need to put that much delay? I have the impression that the notes start playing something like halfway through the note. Why not just start the note a bit later?

    hey Alex. Why do you use Stereo Enhancer instead of Fruity Balance for automating volume?

    • @AlexMoukala
      @AlexMoukala  6 лет назад +7

      That is a good question!
      There's no reason, I'm just dumb and forgot Fruity Balance does the same thing while probably using less RAM haha.

    Alex - this is great stuff! I love your creations. Your usage of "arpeggios" will confuse people, however, as the term has an established classical meaning of chord tones (i.e. 1-3-5-1-3-5, etc). You are using it for pulsing rhythms on a single note and for scale line melodic rhythmic lines. Neither usage are properly "arpeggios". It seems as if you are using the term to speak of rhythmic movement. Actually, the Ostinato at 21 min. is an actual example of "arpeggios".

    This might be a dumb question, but what are all the stereo enhancer's, Param EQ and Moving EQ for? I dunno what that is, is it like using the modulation wheel? Or is it just to increase the volume? What do they do?
    Another thing is, how can you use modulation if you don't have a modulation wheel? I've an electric piano which doesn't have a modulation wheel which is really annoying... Gonna buy a keyboard in the future which has a modulation wheel, but I really need the modulation wheel right now haha. Thanks for the great tutorial Alex! All I know about writing film music etc did I learn from you! Thanks so much for all what you do!

    • @AlexMoukala
      @AlexMoukala  6 лет назад

      I just use those during the mixing stage to manage volumes and EQ sometimes.
      As for the mod wheel, you can simply link the modulation / dynamics knob to another slider on your keyboard with the Override Generic Link function.

    • @deepytv
      @deepytv 6 лет назад

      Alex Moukala ah thanks a lot! So I just tried using that function by following a tutorial, it didn't work. This electric piano is like from the 90's, my dad bought it back then. I dunno if it's too old. The only wheel on this piano is the master volume. I guess it doesn't work for this piano sadly.

    Hey Alex, I'm an animator and vfx artist. For each track are there sample packs to help you? I'm creating a 1-2 minute piece and I'm trying to figure out how to get this type of music, but not necessarily play every single note. It's been years since I played/made any music haha. I'm not sure that's possible with little to no music theory.

    • @AlexMoukala
      @AlexMoukala  5 лет назад +1

      If you mean sample packs with loops and things of such, there are things like Action Strings, Action Strkes, Sonuscore The Orchestra etc.
      But I don't use those personally
