Gary, this demonstrates the wisdom of doing both sides when changing shock absorbers or any other suspension components. If one side has gone then the other side is most likely to be not too far behind failing. Replacing both sides also keeps the handling even so that's reason enough alone. It must drive like new van now with all those new parts. I've never seen splined knuckle-to-strut bolts before.
As you say dave it drives like new now and as for the bolts iv only came across them on vans so far 👍🏻
I’ve got to do the same job on my sprinter, but the kit come in a set of 4 so as Parky said I’ll do them in pairs 👍

good job gary, always a bit on edge using them spring compressors till the nut goes back on then ahh breathe lol, we used them all the time in college never had one fail but still make me nervous using them....
