- We’re back and here’s a big hug from us to all our faithful fans and viewers. We’ll be showing our seeds of spring that have been growing inside our home for the past 3 weeks. We’ve started many tomato seeds, some squash, and parsley seedlings in little organic bags that need to be divided and transplanted into organic Cow Pots. As you will see, it’s important to label all of your plants with a grease pencil. It’s also very helpful to keep a garden journal, keeping track of what you’ve planted, what works and what doesn’t. It’s also a great way to remember important information from year-by-year. Stay tuned for more unique Wisconsin Garden adventures this year.
Hello to my dear friends Lynn and Richard! Oh it is so nice to see you again.yes I do keep a Journal of my Plants and I take pictures of them and keep in my Journal. I have been out in my gardens cleaning up the weeds and leaves. I was just talking about your free Library. I think that is so nice to have for the children. I am a great grandmom of two boys . No not twins one was born in August and the other in March. Now that makes 3 boys and 1 girl. So until next time God Bless you both and have a Blessed evening and stay safe my dear and Special Friends.
Hello Joan. I'm so glad you have kept a journal and pictures too. You are more efficient than I. We truly enjoy seeing the neighborhood kids and their families stopping at the library. Enjoy your little sweeties, they grow up so fast. God bless you as well. Happy Spring and thank you for watching, caring and sharing. Your gardening friends, Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com

But I understand too how hectic and busy life’s can be. I think more then watching the new ways of planting, I love watching and seeing you both, always so motivated and enthusiastic to try knew things that’s very encouraging!! But maybe you can do very short “hello” videos just to keep us posted about your new endeavors and simply say Hello!😊
Hello Camila. That is so sweet of you. Spring and summer are so busy, but we will still be gardening away and I'm sure we will not be able to resist sharing what we are doing. Hello! :)
Thanks for watching, caring & sharing. Keep The Love Growing - Lynn & Richard - www.WisconsinGarden.com
Hi Lynn and Richard, it looks like it's going to be a good year in the garden. Last year was terrible with the extreme heat and drought we had very little blooms and even the drought tolerant plants suffered. As for the weather we had same thing happen ,it was 90° on Friday and we went from just a few daffodils blooming to all of them virtually overnight. But old man winter isn't giving up without a fight, they're predicting snow flurries on Wednesday. Happy gardening from the Pocono mountains Pa. Zone 6A.
Hello, yes, crazy weather for sure. Storms with hail this afternoon. Can't get outside if it's raining. Happy Spring and thank you for watching, caring and sharing. Your gardening friends, Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com

Happy spring to my favorite gardening couple! I need to find my old garden journal
Hi Jackieo, yes dust off your journal. LOL Happy Spring and thank you for watching, caring and sharing. Your gardening friends, Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com
Happy spring fellow Brookfield residents!! Time to come out of hibernation. I have lots of seeds starting as well. We actually have a very similar setup! It’s great keeping them inside where you can check in in them… or watch them all day. 😂
Yes, Natalie, we'd like to get outside, but rain and even snow has kept us in. Glad you like your indoor setup. We do too. Happy Spring and thank you for watching, caring and sharing. Your gardening friends, Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com
Hi Lynn and Richard, welcome back to spring. Hope we all will have a good garden season. So cold today. Take care. Thanks.
Hello, we know exactly what you mean! In two days it went from summer and back to winter. Yes, a good garden season for us all would be wonderful. Happy Spring and thank you for watching, caring and sharing. Your gardening friends, Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com
I was thinking of you this morning! Have enjoyed seeing your videos in years past.
Hi Donna, nice that you were thinking of us. We were having snow after our warm weather last week. I'm glad you have enjoyed our past videos. Happy Spring and thank you for watching, caring and sharing. Your gardening friends, Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com
I am SO happy I decided to do a garden journal. So helpful. Especially in spring. I wanted to thank you! You told me to try storing my Dahlias in a cold closet since I had no other options. It remained around 55 to 62 ish through the winter. Everyone else said it would not work. I'm in zone 5b so have not planted them yet, but I did check on them twice during the winter. Had a bit of rot on a few. Lost a small one. But everything else looked just fine! So glad I took the chance. Thanks for encouraging me to do that!
Hi Jane, glad the journal is helpful. Very happy your Dahlias made it through the winter. Some of our did, haven't put them out yet, until mid May probably. Happy Spring and thank you for watching, caring and sharing. Your gardening friends, Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com
Oh here you are! Were you hibernating like me? In SE Mich, I've been cleaning out the garden and discovered many clumps of Liatris coming up and immediately thought of you Lynn! And of you too Richard, knowing how much you "love" all of Lynn's Liatris!😃
Hi Sherry, oh my favorites, Liatris. Ours isn't up yet. Too busy with Richard's art projects, but once this winter weather leaves for good, yes, I'll be back outside too. Happy Spring and thank you for watching, caring and sharing. Your gardening friends, Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com
Glad to see you back! I like your green house! Even tough I live in the South , central MS. Also glad your doing well.
Hi Nina, thank you. We are well and hope you are too. It has been nice to have my greenhouse right next to my desk. The plants grew very quickly. Happy Spring and thank you for watching, caring and sharing. Your gardening friends, Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com
I was wondering what you two were up to. Good timing!!😃
LOL, PlantObsessed, we have been up to a lot of things. Hopefully we'll be outside again soon. Happy Spring and thank you for watching, caring and sharing. Your gardening friends, Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com
Welcome back
Happy Spring and thank you for watching, caring and sharing. Your gardening friends, Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com
Good to see you! I was worried about you not posting a spring video!
Hi Peggy, Thanks for wondering about us. Yes, just been really busy, but couldn't mess spring! :) Happy Spring and thank you for watching, caring and sharing. Your gardening friends, Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com
Hi Lynn and Richard! So glad you're back! Love your indoor seed station. I did something similar this year. First time starting from seed. Many failures lol ... Learning and doing are 2 different things for me apparently.
Tri color beech is the name of your vlog 713. July 17 2016!
Hi Aprilrain, having it indoors, so close has been fun. Good for you for trying seeds this year. Yes, learning and doing are two different things, but now you are doing and will learn because of it. Thanks for the Beech video number. :) Happy Spring and thank you for watching, caring and sharing. Your gardening friends, Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com
Waves at you and Richard,...yay! Good to see you both. I'm really bad at keeping a garden journal even knowing the benefits of having one. It's funny, I buy a notebook for it every year. Yes, I lack discipline LOL Pepper is adorable. Thanks for the pencil marker recommendation. That brick is similar to the coco coir I use for my seed mix but a bit bigger. I hydrate it and add vermiculite to it too.
Richard pronounced 'Temu' correctly. That's how we say the vowels in my lingo even Japanese, I think. It's eee for egg and not eee for inch as in English vowels :)
Am truly happy to see you both. I can't wait to see your next garden tours :)
Dear wildchook, I know what you mean, you get busy and then too pooped to write. LOL Pepper is a true sweetie. Good to know Rick speaks well. He was in Okinawa for 2 years, that probably helps.
Happy Spring and thank you for watching, caring and sharing. Your gardening friends, Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com
Yay glad to see you guys! This is Deanna from Illinois 😊. This is my RUclips channel name. Glad you’re both doing well!
Hi Deanna
Duluth MN still have a couple of feet of snow on the ground and 6+ inches expected this Thursday 😢
Hi Colleen, I'm so sorry you still have all that snow and expecting more. Heard on TV this morning that because of all MN and WI snow, the Mississippi River is filling up again. Happy Spring and thank you for watching, caring and sharing. Your gardening friends, Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com
I was doing really well with notes and then the freak frost came before Memorial Day and I lost many plants and many had severe damage. I had to replant many and I gave up writing down what went where. Hopefully I can tell the tomatoes and peppers apart. There is one time I wish I took the time and it’s the melon and squash patch between orchard plants! Ugh! I never thought what if they don’t germinate and I have to replant 🤦🏼♀️
Good call to add amendments to coco coir. I made mistake 2 years ago of not doing that and it molded as it holds too much water.
Hi Dusty. Wow, so sorry to hear about that freak frost. I still remember a major snow storm in late May that topped several maple trees in our front yard. But hopefully by Memorial Day, one would think it's time to plant. One never knows what Mother Nature throw our way when we least expect it. I don't think you'll have any trouble knowing tomatoes and peppers at harvesting time. Ah yes, the constant challenge in gardening. But as you well know, we are all optimists and proud of it. Thank you so very much for watching, caring and sharing. Keep The Love Growing and the air quality safe. Lynn & Richard - www.WisconsinGarden.com
Well there you are! Those bags are interesting. Have you looked into blocking? I'm thinking about it for next year.
Hi Dee, yup, couldn't resist once the seeds sprouted. LOL Bags worked great! No haven't heard of blocking. Will have to investigate. Thank you, Richard & Lynn
this spring my journal says rain, snow 3 days, rain, 80* 4 days, snow, rain, snow.
Hopefully by now, it says it's OK to start planting. Happy Mother's Day celebration and remembrance. Thanks for watching, caring and sharing. Lynn & Richard - www.WisconsinGarden.com
Tri-color beech was 2017 I believe :)
Oh thank you, Scott for reminding us. LOL We can always count on you. We will drink a Spreckers in your honor. Happy Spring and stay warm until it really gets here. Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com
Lynn! I have to tell you about the pre-sprouting of Liatris corms I did this spring! Have you ever done it? OMG.. it was so easy! (I do a journal every year!). And that coconut coir is a great deal! Which dollar store? Ty
Hi Cathy, no, we never have. Just love Liatris and glad you are enjoying them too. Good to know you keep a journal. :) We got our coconut coir at the Dollar Tree. Happy Spring and thank you for watching, caring and sharing. Your gardening friends, Lynn & Richard wisconsingarden.com
