Spider-Man's my favourite superhero overall but Iron Man is definelty the best charachter in the entire MCU. The journey he goes on and how much he changes throughout. He's also very relatable with how he treats superhero issues and you always have an emotional connection to him and when he dies, it feels earned because it was a true hero's sacrifice.
Literally me lol, Iron Man is the best of the MCU characters imo, but Spider-Man is still my favorite of all the Marvel heroes 🤙

U mean daredevil is the best in the mcu
Iron Man is my favorite MCU hero (not my favorite Marvel hero, that title still goes to Spider-Man). What Feige, Favreau, and ultimately the Russo bros did with this character over the span of a decade has made him one of my all time favorite movie characters and maybe characters in anything! Loved his journey, his development, and the payoff he got in Endgame. Coupled with RDJ’s performance, Iron Man will forever be my favorite MCU hero 👍

It's crazy to me that they took Iron man from just this run of the mill gag character to turning him into the foundation and engine that brought the MCU to glory

I think Thor should be slightly higher only because I love how he changes from Ragnarok through end game. He loses his dad, takes the lead of his people, loses his brother and is consumed by vengeance, and he is shattered by end game. And then he discovers that what makes him worthy isn't his physique or his fighting prowess but his character. I also love that in Love and Thunder he finds new purpose. I do agree his characterization is very inconsistent however.
Tbf in love and thunder I don’t think it ruined his character didn’t improve it but didn’t ruin it
I actually have Starlord pretty high. I liked how they handled him in Infinity war personally because he lost everyone he loved and in guardians 2, he fully accepted them as the last family he has, and losing the now woman he loves put him so far over the edge that it broke him. I find it relatable in a sense and think it puts layers on his character in the sense that he can't keep the overwhelming emotions of tragedy in check, even for something that important. He's a loving, emotional character that has received loss and too much of it to be emotionally stable

Love seeing Okoye so high. She was one of my favorite parts of WF, and I was so glad that she got a more prominent role and character arc this time around. Excited to see where she goes next.

I'm glad about it, her character was kinda weird in a sense, I suppose that having personal and casual moments with her gives a new an insight on who she actually is, something I suppose didn't exist before

Wow! The dedication this man has put for this video is amazing. I can comprehend a villain ranking video more because there's just one per film (and maybe 1-2 secondary bad guys),but the heroes? This list was already ridiculously long post Endgame, and it will only get more and more long. Are you sure you want to continue this particular ranking going forward Sean?

The Namor from the movie or the Namor in the comics. The one who lost to a newly minted Black Panther without any combat experience or the one who can trade blows with Ben Grimm?

@@exhaustguy he was nerfed before the fight even began. There was a point where namor won for the most part but still almost passed out cuz lack of water. Shuri wouldve never stood a chance vs namor in a fair fight

For T'Challa I would argue he gets swayed by the arguments made by Nakia
A) because he loves her dearly (💞)
B) he encounters Killmonger who is a living breathing worst-case scenario. He is the logical end-point of leaving so much suffering out beyond your idyllic borders and leaving it to simmer until it spills over, beats you up and throws you over a waterfall.
He wasn't swayed by Killmonger because what Killmonger wanted was total hegemonic upheaval with more than a little bit of genocide along the way. So Nakia was the inspiration, Killmonger was the catalyst.
Captain America, Spider-Man & Daredevil are definitely my top 3🔥🔥🔥

I love how you agree with me when it comes to Loki being an amazing character. Because he has so many layers to him and you can't really know what he is thinking, if it's good or bad. There's a bit more depth to his character that way.

This as always is awesome. One thing I haven't seen on any list channel is a rankings of all the trailers. Criteria whatever. Excitement producing, accuracy (not misleading) whatever. I know my favorite trailer is Civil War "underoos!"

I really liked Groot in Infinity War, seeming him being this teenager with attitude and then snapping out of it and creating Thor's stormbreaker was an epic moment and awesome ranking Sean.
Yeah I probably should give him a bit more credit for the moment and scoot him up.
When the list is at 71 heroes, it gets REALLY REALLY tough to factor all the appropriate moments in.
Sean, you should do a ranking of the top 50 or 100 IMDB movies. Your top 15 IMDb list was so great and gave your insight into movies that normally we’d never hear about from you. Would love to hear more of your opinions on a broader range of cinema

My main problem with Ant-Man is the consistency. In the first movie, he was shown to be a pretty smart dude. Capable of planning and pulling off elaaborate heists, a pretty good education, and all around smart dude. The second movie makes him seem much stupider in comparison. And as far as Wanda goes, one line from the original guardians of the Galaxy fits perfectly: everyone's got dead people. She isn't special.

Small details like the character being on tv in background are small details I appreciate that show your dedication to your craft I’m a builder by trade nice to see someone who also cares about details in their work

Talking about Star-Lord really quick, I agree that he has a character flaw of insecurity, but I do think they're working on that. Just from his cameo in Thor, we can see that he's somewhat put aside his jealousy of Thor and has recognized his usefulness in battle situations. The very first scene of the movie is him coming to Thor for help, which doesn't really feel like it's something the Infinity War version of Star-Lord would do. Granted, he's only in the movie for about a minute, so it's hard to say if that's me reading too much into it or an intentional character trait they've given since Endgame, but I thought it was worth bringing up.

I love how you just occasionally leave in all the funny bloopers you have throughout the video. Makes it all feel more authentic!
That's what I like about the MCU, when it comes to some of the biggest quotes from the comics they find a way to incorporate as close to the original versions of the quotes. Examples being the eulogy Sharon Carter gave "If the whole world is telling you to move it's your responsibilty to plant yourself like a tree and say no, you move"(Amazing Spiderman #537) and Aunt May's "With great power there must also come great responsibilty."(Amazing Fantasy #15)

Captain America is my Number 1 hero in The MCU.
I don't need a Hero to be Perfect,or the most Powerful,or the most Charismatic hero.
What Makes Captain America the best hero is that he can be the guy to question Orders when he isn't comfortable with the solution,or to be the guy who tells the Leaders "No" and deal with the consequences.
He's a Maverick that represents the best ideals of not only America but numerous identities around world that help make America.
Was always wishy washy on who my favorite MCU character was, but after the Loki show, he instantly became my favorite. The dude really needs a hug.
Aunt mays line was actually the original line. In the original Spiderman movie that shortened it, but the original line was in fact, " with great power, there must also come great responsibility"

3. Spider man. Tom Holland truly made his mark on this character in a way that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire didn't bring it.
2. Captain America. He's just always been a favorite of mine.
1. Rocket. Almost as soon as I saw him on screen, I fell in love with his personality that he has. Couple that with his heartbreaking line "I didn't ask to get made" it made me connect with him. Then through Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2, Infinity War and Endgame I got more hints about his past and how much he loves this found family he's part of. Now we get to actually dive head first into his backstory in Vol 3 and that's just going to be an amazing movie.

Have to disagree with your take on Thor. I agree with what you said, but for me personally i like the fact that he changes almost very drastically. I think it add more interesting elements to him and in many ways makes him seem a more (human) superhero

Good list and understandable for the most part, Thor should be higher, yeah I get the inconsistencies with the character, but when it comes down to the amount of actual loss and going from being this spoon fed prince with no remorse, to someone who literally defeats a villain with the reminder of what that love that he misses is. It’s powerful, and I feel like people forget that, the actual amount of loss, and how he still fights to protect. Thor L&T gets way too much hate imo

I disagree with your placement of Thor and here's why! You are correct that he is inconsistent but at the same time, that was part of his arc and development throughout the universe (which you often like to critique as well). In Endgame, he had to become that broken version of himself bc he lost everything in Infinity War, and while as a viewer I didn't care to watch the Fat Thor character, I understood why it happened. Then, he has to become the previous version of himself pre-Endgame in Thor: Love and Thunder, hence earning that redemption and payoff. He also killed Thanos soooooooo yeah he's too low here.

I still don't understand why it's ok for Tony to lose his mind at finding out his mom was kill but not ok for Star-Lord to lose his mind when he found out his love was killed. It's unfair if anything Tony should be held more accountable. Bucky was a victim
Are you being serious? One of those choices led directly to half the galaxy being removed from existence for 5 years.
No one holds it against Star-Lord that he was upset about Gamora being killed. They take serious issue with him causing them to lose the fight with Thanos because he couldn't hold it together until the gauntlet was removed.
I know he doesn’t like GotG vol2, but I feel like New Groot should be much higher. Especially higher than She Hulk. Granted he was childish, at times, but when push came to shove, he always stepped up to do the right thing.
He successfully planted the bomb to kill Ego and helped Yondu and Rocket wipe
out the ravagers. As a teen, he willingly grabbed searing metal to save Thor’s life.
If that isn’t heroic I don’t know what is…
