Thank you. I watched this as my first video on my new iPad Pro!
That’s awesome. Thanks for checking out the vid!
Great interview - you were born to do this! That said, what a shame Apple continues to put their shareholders above their customers. They tout this being the iPad they’ve always wanted to make - but as nearly EVERY reviewer (from CNET to MacRumors to MKD to TechRadar, etc) has said: Apple cripples this amazing device by saddling it with a phone-based OS. My god - you can’t even save a document to the Home Screen. And their “that’s what a MacBook for” approach just doesn’t hold up in 2024. I’ve been a Mac user for 30 years - but I tried a Surface recently and it was amazing. REAL file system. REAL computer. REAL work. If Microsoft can pull that off (especially with the new Snapdragon ARM chips) - Apple can’t figure it out and even do it better??? I have tried countless times to do the same with the iPad and like so many others it’s just an exercise in frustration. If WWDC doesn’t show that they’re finally taking the iPadOS seriously (or porting over MacOS) - I’m going to through in the towel. Apple has forgotten a critical business factor: give your customers what they want - or your competitors will.
Thanks for the kind words.
Well to give some context to the event, they didn’t really go much into iPad OS or iOS as a whole but did mention that the future of these platforms would be discussed in the near future.
My take is they know that the iPad is capable of much more and I think this year we will see it.
Putting their most powerful chipset in an iPad wasn’t just to make it thin and with the Tandem OLED display, it’s getting it ready for the future of what the iPad can do.
Perhaps we will see a hybrid OS that allows one to use iPad apps designed for touch and desktop apps that have the versatility that users want. I for one hope that is the case.
The limitations of Lightroom and Photoshop are frustrating at times for me, and using other iPad apps for my creative workflow that are available on the desktop with far more features reminds me why I still gravitate to MacOS more. I hope this changes because I would love to just carry the iPad around daily.
@@btonelli Thank you for taking the time to respond. My only comment is that they’ve already played that game - when they put an M1 chip (the exact chip powering MacOS) and still here we are. I hope you’re right. I would love to see this change.
@@tonym5339 my pleasure. If you take the time to write a comment it’s the least I can do is reply :)
I hope so too, otherwise we have a formula 1 car driving in a school zone
@@btonelli that’s a great analogy! I just ordered a new, maxed out Surface Pro. If they announce the iPad Pro with MacOS or iPadOS Pro, I’ll send it to you as a gift and you can use it as a paperweight. And we’ll both be happy.
@@tonym5339 haha sounds good 😂
That was a great interview with good questions. Happy you got the chance to meet them apple folks.
Thanks! Really lucky to get that opportunity
John would make a great leader for Apple…my IPad Pro was working hard to stabilise the contrast in lighting while you filmed
Yeah he would. Both gentlemen are absolutely awesome. I’m sure the lighting that day was challenging. Footage turned out good 👍
Thank you for the video. One day, I will do Lightroom editing on an iPad.
Thanks for watching. I also use it for Lightroom editing quite a bit
Well done Bobby, thanks for that interview. Great info.
Thanks 🙏
He says good marketing is “basically telling the truth” 😅
Apple has a way of marketing that is quite inspiring when you think about it. They can make people fall in love with a product they never thought they wanted or needed.
@@btonelli I will definitely agree with you on that. Their marketing is borderline outrageous. But they have a way with words for sure 👍
Yes sir!!! Bobby you're an inspiration my guy! =)
Thank you 🙏
Same old limited iOS. No go.
Let’s see what happens at WWDC
Really awesome. You're coming up with great material. Thank you.
Thanks Joe!
