- HOW TO INSTALL MISHIMOTO G35 RADIATOR AND HOW TO MODIFY THE 350Z MISHIMOTO FAN TO WORK ON THE G35. I READ THAT THE FAN HAD TO BE MODIFIED BECAUSE THEY DONT MAKE IT FOR G35 BUT COULDN'T FIND A VIDEO ON IT , SO I DECIDED TO MAKE ONE... HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE.

Good video man. Just wanted to say that you should always burp your cooling system without the radiator cap fitted as that will pressurize the system and no one needs an explosion of coolant happening. Yes use the bleeder screw at the back as you showed but also run your heater on the hottest temp setting and heater fan blowing. Jacking the front of the car up so that the radiator cap is higher than the bleeder screw also helps move the air to the highest point the fastest.
Yes exactly. These type (leslie) of funnels help tremendously as well making it the highest point.
Good video! I did the same few years back with the same rad and same red hoses. One thing is the slow leak of coolant from the mishimoto rad cap.
Radiator blew up today on the way to school, this vid helped a lot, I should be installing the new one myself soon and this vid was very informational :))
Glad this was helpful. Not sure if you are replacing with a OEM radiator or aftermarket, but if you plan to boost your car this mishimoto fan setup did not end up working out for me. Will be making update soon.
I see you struggling with the fan shroud. But love the video man.
Appreciate it thanks bro. Ya it's because it's made for the z, don't make one for the G has to be modified.
That radiator is awesome it dropped my car temperature literally a notch down
You keep stock fans?
@@1cleang898 i did BUT I got my mishimoto fans now just ain't install. I will be installing them summer time. Also! I will be doing. Like going over with detailed information on everything I've done to my car already this past summer.
FYI stock fans are better but you shouldn't have any issues with the mishimoto as long as you don't plan on boosting it. Had to got back to stock after i boosted it which sucked because i had already got rid of the stock ones and the mishimoto looked so good.
@@1cleang898 bruuuh lol say less I might mess round sale it lol but yea my stick fans are awesome no issues ever n nah. I wanna be all motor with this g and just look clean. I only got the fans to match lol n look cool
I’ve heard a lot of people having overheating problems with the mishimoto radiator fans, i live in Bay Area it gets hot in summertime, do you think those fans are better than oem or would I run into any issues or need to modify?
Boosted you'll run into problems forsure, N/A you would probably be ok but honestly stock is better. I found this out the hard way. I've heard of people running spal fans in the mishimoto fan shroud with good results.
@@1cleang898 thanks for the info, might just get the oem
They only make Megan Racing Radiator for Nissan 350z from 03-06 would if I get would you think it fit on my manual g35 06?
No because the 350z is a little different , i believe the cap is in the middle as well.
This setup i did in this video ended up not working for my car after i boosted, so i went back to stock. Not sure if you'd be interested but i was planning on selling this for half price. Damn near new only put maybe 100 miles on or so and fan is modified alrealy to fit g35 coupe.
@@1cleang898 Anyone ever buy it?
@@oloruntobaunuigbey1998 nope still got it, never really listed it for sale. If you want it I'll sell for half price but you pay for shipping? It's in great shape just didn't do the research and doesn't work well for boosted cars, but when it was NA it was perfect.
@@1cleang898 why is it not good for boosted applications?
So the 350z fans fit into the g35 ?? On mishimoto couldn’t find g35 fans in there
Ya it fit with a little modification, but found out the hard way the fan cant keep up with a/c on after being boosted, had no problems before.... alot of people i heard were keeping the shroud and adding spal fans. Planned on doing an update on this soon.
@@1cleang898 thanks n ya I won’t be using boost on this G n I gotta get a new AC unit anyways
Where you got yours from?
And do you have to buy new radiator hoses?or stock ones where fine?
@@daddybrandon3241 think i got both off Amazon, and stock hoses should be fine.
Was your car overheating?
No , not before or after. Works good, just getting ready for boost.
