Bless your heart hun. I know what your going through. Been there with several animals and it's heart breaking watching your baby suffer. I had a precious baby, Harley was his name. I loved him dearly ❤️ he also had seizures. I had him on meds to. One night I put him to bed, covered him up with his favorite blanket, kissed him and told him Mommy loves him and said a prayer. Got up the next morning and went over to him and he hadn't moved. He had gone to be with Jesus. Crying as I share this. I will always long to see my Precious Harley in Heaven. Thank God that I have Hope of knowing 🙏 that. My Prayers are with you🥰🐕❤️

Pro tip: When shredding softer cheeses, put them in the freezer for just 30 minutes, and they'll be SO much easier to grate. Definitely going to try your caramelized onion dip this Thanksgiving! :)

Came here to say this! When shredding cheese & thinly slicing meats, they always go into the freezer for a bit first. I will literally push back a mealtime by 20 minutes if I forget to do this 🤣

I like to caramelise a load of onions at once in my crockpot. I then dehydrate them. They are sooooo good. You can use them in so many things, either straight up or hydrate first. Another thing is you can powder the dried onions, and adding this to soups or stews is oh-my-goodness

My passion has always been cooking and baking. Unfortunately my adult daughter has absolutely no desire to learn or have any of my recipes. It absolutely breaks my heart. I love that you and your mom cook together. I have always dreamed of that day, but I have given up on that. Cooking and baking throughout the years has been my therapy. Love to watch your videos and see how passionate you are. ❤

Hi. I am nosey and read your comment. I just wanted to suggest that you tell your daughter how enlightening it would be to have you two cooking together. My Mom, never wanted to interfere with my adult married life. After being diagnosed with Alzheimer's, I learned from my uncle that she wanted me to share her gardening with her. She had food, flower and spice gardens every year. She must have relayed to my uncle her desire to get me interested in what she did and to be honest, I don't know where I would have found the time with raising two small boys, a full time career and a side hustle to make ends meet. But if she had just said to me.. I would love to have you come hang out and lets garden together, I would have bent over backwards to make that happen. Just a thought. It haunts me now that she wanted something so simple that I could have given her, if I had only known. Sometimes, the phase of life depicts thought patterns. As I age I tend to think of others' before myself. I don't think I was ever selfish but maybe a bit overwhelmed with life. Holidays are a good time to cook together! Try it!

Same for me and my adult daughter. However, my adult grandson loves to cook. We cook together regularly and we enjoy it so much.
The extent of my daughters cooking is limited. I find that odd since I have always had a passion for cooking/baking all her life.. My daughter uses only salt, pepper and garlic powder on everything she makes..everything tastes so similar and bland but I never complain (her son does lol).

Tip: For creamy onion dip, add a good pinch of sugar and salt about midway when caramelizing onions. The combo helps the onions to brown up nicely. Having gone through the same thing with my baby dog many years ago, I know how scary it can be .As a retired nurse who worked with neuro (including seizure) patients, I will tell you, as your Vet probably has, that it can take a while to find the right medication and then the proper dose. Also, my dog could tell when she was about to have a seizure and learned to get to a safe place (onto the floor and next to Mama if I was at home). Prayers that all goes well.

That spinach artichoke dip is amazing. You can also buy a round loaf of rye bread like dark rye, hollow it out, fill it with the dip but before you fill it, add green food coloring and then chop up the bread that you pulled out of it to put around the edge for dipping, you can even toast it call it. Slimy goop in brains and serve it Halloween even children will love it.

I learned online recently that instead of washing a blender like I have for so many years-take it to the sink and wash by hand. Instead-keep it on the base and put a bit of dish washing liquid in it and water. Then turn your food processor on and it will do the cleaning for you!
I hope it works in the food processor as well as the blender. Much simpler,

I just found your channel, I love every one of these recipes. I've made the stuffed dates, I use cream cheese in my dates because I also dislike goat cheese. I've subscribed and am very happy your channel was on my feeds.

I’m so sorry about Gizmo! I hope he feels better soon! The fact that you’re husband cleaned up and you’re friend was blowing your yard is very nice. I’m sure you had a wonderful time with all your friends! The appetizers looked delicious! And honestly we are here for everything not just the cooking! It just means you’re human like us. I did watch the video from she’s in her apron where she showed the picture of you two and said you guys got to hang out a little! How fun!

Hey, just wanted to say big hugs to you. I know how hard it is with a sick animal. I live in Townsville Australia and I’m not sure whether you heard about our major floods that happened a few years ago, well I lost my little baby, my dog, my Georgous best friend, my little shadow that followed me everywhere. After the floods the snakes came out and unfortunately he was bitten and died suddenly. He was my shadow for 14 years, slept with us, went to work with us. Was everywhere with me. I really know how you feel. And I am sorry for your loss.

My dad hated cleaning the blender (food processor) and I was too young to handle the sharp part, so one day (in the 1960s) he just added a drop or two of dishwashing liquid soap to the bottom of the blender then poured in really hot water, which caused the soap to foam a little. Then put in the blender cradle and pulse it several times. After a couple of rinses, the blender & blades were perfectly clean. Now you’re ready for the next recipe!

I am so incredibly sorry that you have to go through your dog having seizures, I know how emotionally draining it can be and how worrisome you can get. My yellow lab who is almost 13 years old has been having seizures since early august, and the vet has prepared us that these could be the final weeks with him as she suspects he has a brain tumor. I am 17 years old and I have always taken for granted having my dog (duke) for almost my whole life, and I know how much a dog can mean to someone, best of wishes to you and your family and those appetizers looked amazing!
