And there was no disclosure that the baked oatmeal tastes reminiscent of doughnut deliciousness! I would’ve liked a warning. Haha. Thank you for sharing your hobby and knowledge with everyone. Loved both of these meals.
I completely agree! I love how you combine growing and cooking your own food in such an approachable manner! I’m definitely trying you sour cream recipe!
I love your enthusiasm and creativity in your cooking. Your energy is unbelievable! I look forward to your posts. I am 78 years old and learning new techniques from you. I appreciate when you admit your mistakes but then go right on. A good lesson in life! Thanks Becky.

But now that they have flown from the nest, I can begin to develop these skills more fully. And my daughter; who inspires me often with her beginning homestead;....we sat down one day in the heat of the afternoon after working in her garden. Sge put on tpur roasting pears video and I thought to myself: "Look at this young lady go!" I thought: "I can do this!" And I'm gonna break out my roaster when I get home and roast a whole huge bunch of apples my brother sent home with us and make our own apple sauce...something I've never done. So thank you and it was great to be able to say hi at the HOA conference! My daughter has followed you a while and before I fell asleep Friday night, I finally remembered to follow you. Yay! Thanks for doing what you do. Rock on!
I LOVE THIS! I made it for my husband and he said it filled the whole office with the wonderful smell! He said others in their cubicles were standing up to see who had the yummy dish! Thank you so much! It became a fast and easy favorite!
"No soggy bottoms around here" Yes! I didn't know I needed the pizza stone tip! I was not taught how to cook and I never had a natural desire to do so until now, I'm 32, and watching you has sparked this desire within me to start cooking. I baked my first loaf of bread yesterday! It was a little gummy but the taste was GREAT! Thank you so much, Becky! Many blessings to you and your family!
I dont know how I found your channel but I thank God I found you.i.have been binge watching your videos you look and sound like such a wonderful person,I just love you, thank you for being you,and thank you for sharing your channel with us,may God continue to bless you and your husband and the parents who raised such a wonderful young lady.Stay safe and blessed.
Hi Becky, As soon as I took this out of the oven, my husband & I tried it. I put a dollop of homemade whipped cream on top. He drizzled a little maple syrup, then topped with whipped cream. This is so delicious and really filling. Another great recipe from your kitchen to ours. Thank you ☺️
I made your quiche last week, it was a big hit with the family! I love how you make daunting tasks almost effortless. It’s been years since I made quiche, now it’s in the recipe rotation.
I just made the baked oatmeal this morning so my husband will have it for breakfasts! OMG, it is fabulous! Next time, I’m going to add blueberries! Thank you for the recipe, it really is fabulous and so very easy to make and will give my husband the start he needs each morning with a nutritious high protein breakfast!
Becky! I made your oatmeal bake and my family LOVED IT! So I tried your quiche butter crust with gluten free flour and we won’t have to live without crust deliciousness because of you! Makes me love you!
OH MY GOODNESS-the baked oatmeal is so good! I didn’t even add the apples or sugar. The texture is so soft and creamy-& isn’t eggy or dense like I thought it might be. Can’t wait to experiment with all the add ins. Thank you Becky!!!
Still binging. You make cooking from scratch seem so simple! You've really provided some great ideas on where to start being more self-sufficient. Thank you for all of your videos. Please keep them coming!
You are a natural born teacher! You should have your own cooking show, your techniques are spot on! You are a very frugal woman wife daughter and friend and honestly I don’t see how you get everything done and work a full-time job but you evidently prioritize a lot of things to get everything done on Maher you for that and you areTruly a role model for the younger generation of young married women, single women and even the older generation!
YOU ARE AN AMAZING PERSON. YOUR HUBBY HOPEFULLY KNOWS HOW LUCKY HE IS TO HAVE YOU. YOU ARE SAVING SO MUCH MONEY IN YOUR FAMILY. WONDERFUL TO SEE YOU AT WORK. A REALLY GOOD COOK TOO. I AM A BIG FAN!!
I FINALLY made a baked oatmeal! Thanks for all the inspiration, especially about using what you have. I didn't have any applesauce. (I never buy it for personal plumbing reasons.) I DID have my very first little pumpkin. I baked it up and used it instead of oatmeal. Added white raisins instead of apples. Couldn't find the cinnamon so I used pumpkin spice instead. So delicious! I'm looking forward to making more versions of this great recipe. Thanks again!
I made the Baked Oatmeal the other day. I loved it! My kids... not so much 😆 my mom came today and we sliced it and baked it again (like you do with biscotti). Topped it with some melted chocolate and now they love it.
This is the first of your videos I've seen and I'm already hooked! You're a great teacher and a joy to watch. Looking forward to seeing more. Love from the UK 🇬🇧
I love her, just found her on Saturday and the needless to say my house is not clean today because all I've done is binged watched and written down recipes I've designated a spiral notebook, just of Becky's recipes...28 pages in!!!
Made a version of the baked oatmeal this morning using what I had on hand. Used home canned spiced peaches instead of the applesauce and then blueberries instead of the chopped apples. Delicious and quite filling.
Unless I am making a specific soup recipe, when I use my frozen shredded zucchini and have to squeeze out the liquid, I strain it into a bowl so I can add the liquid into my pan drippings/soup makings container in the freezer. I put all the bits and dabs of veggie and meat leftovers into it for a rich “All but the kitchen sink” soup.
Becky, I just made the baked oatmeal. It's wicked good!!! I didn't have any apples on hand but I used a cup of apple juice in place of 1 cup of the milk and with the applesauce it was so good!!! I've never had baked oatmeal before. I am going to make this again!! It was a hit with my 17 y.o. son!! Thank you for sharing!!
I just made baked oatmeal for my very first time. Like you, I did not follow a recipe. I just threw in whatever sounded tasty. Today was apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. Thank you so much for encouraging me to try this dish! It’s delicious! And I love that it has lots of protein, since I struggle with that in my diet.
This is the first week I am going to try to make a savory breakfast casserole and a baked oatmeal for us to eat for breakfast for the week. Thank you for such great inspiration!
Becky, I think I told you i'm single and live alone so I can't sort out why i'm here but I've been binge watching your videos as I avoid classwork. I watched this and really wanted to make this but I only have a MASSIVE glass baking dish that I acquired from my Mom when she went into a nursing home. It's giant, for a whole family.. so not practical for me. But then just the other day, a neighbor left two 8x8 glass baking dishes in my apartment lobby for anyone to take so I scooped up both. I was so excited I strolled back to my apartment and was like OOH I can't wait to make Becky's baked oatmeal! Looks so good!
@@AcreHomestead I made a smaller version of this (with 4 eggs). I used half of everything except I'm pretty sure I only put a cup of oats in the mix... anyway, it was delicious. Used a scoop of my frozen blueberry stash. I also used a couple scoops of applesauce every though it wasn't apple. Delicious!
Thank you, Becky, for sharing your knowledge with us. You have inspired me to do what I can with my resources and meal prep. I watch your channel a lot. Thank you, friend, Naomi
When I go all out and make my own pie crust, I use lard and cold water. That combination gives a very flaky crust, this isn't my tip but from the lady everyone called 'Old Mrs. G'! As a kid, I was absolutely thrilled that these ladies from church allowed me to watch them make their magic. Old Mrs. G was also the master of maintaining the heat on the monster cast iron 5 or 6 shelf oven. Your baked oatmeal sounds amazing and I'm going to give it a try.
My favorite aunt still uses lard and you can definitely tell the difference. I have two tubs (smallest) in my food storage but also took the time to learn to render it myself. The meat counter was very nice when I asked for pig fat, lol. They saved me the trimmings from their cuts and I got 5 pounds of fat for less than the cost of one pork chop. So much lard. Learned tallow as well (beef fat). Now, they are nicely stored, used, and rotated. No pig or beef flavor, just pure beautiful clear fat. 🤷🏼♀️
For the Oatmeal topping, mix the brown sugar with close to room temp melted butter (or not super hot), a bit of rolled oats, add chopped pecans or walnuts and sprinkle it on top before baking... it'll make it extra crunchy and nutty and delicious 😋 I do this to my sweet potato casserole and everyone loves it so much
I've been using vodka in my pie crusts for a while now. I learned about the science behind it from a Cook's magazine and it's awesome. I like using vanilla or coconut vodka when making pie dough for a dessert. It just adds a little extra flavor to the over all dish. I'm thinking a quiche is on my near future menu.
In May this year I suffered a bereavement and found I couldn't sleep at night, so I tuned into You Tube and up you popped. I love watching your videos, it feels like I have a friend in the house and am no longer here on my own (well there is the dog and 2 cats!). I am in the UK and I try and grow my own veg (initially for 2, but now just me), so how to preserve everything has been a Godsend with your videos, I tried Water Bath canning last year (I don't have a pressure canner), as this is something 'new' to a lot of us in the UK and have just ordered a vacuum sealer, maybe next year I'll get a dehydrator? As I write this my Breakfast Apple Oats (your recipe) are cooking in the oven. I usually make overnight oats (no eggs) and leave them in the fridge overnight, but with the winter months coming along, thought I'd try your recipe as a hot breakfast. I am sure I will love it. However, I just wanted to ask the best way to store the portions, do you just divide them up into individual portions and keep them in the fridge, or do you freeze them? and then just blast them in the microwave in the morning? Many thanks and love your videos. Take care and stay safe in these terrible times. Jan xx
It’s great to know that you learned to cook via America’s Test Kitchen. I did too and am confidant to step right up and attempt to make whatever I’d like. I’d very much like to have the oatmeal bar and the quiche in my home every week. I’d like to at least have the recipe in hand before I engage in making what you did. After binging on your vlogs for the past 24 hours, I’ve learned that you’re great company and so I’ve subscribed to your channel.
Wow just found your channel. It's now 230 AM I have been binge watching. You are a great teacher and have such happy kitchen. I have learned lot and have gotten such motivation to do freezer meals. I wish I could live closer to buy fresh eggs from you and learn more. You are very talented for such a young lady. 👏 very impressed
I want to appreciate DR RORPOPOR HERBAL on RUclips who has general cure for all kinds of disease such as Staph, HPV, HIV, herpes treatment, cancer, diabetes, fardyce spots, and many others i was completely cured from PCOS.....💯💯
Hi Becky! I just wanted to comment because I've been binge watching all your videos lately and I really enjoy them!! I even feel encouraged to start my own garden next spring! Also, I've made your oatmeal bake 4 times now for my husband, son and myself and it has been a hit every time!! The first time I followed the recipe with the chopped apples, the second time I replaced the apples with peaches, the third time I added pumpkin spice seasoning and replaced the apples with a can of pumpkin (my absolute favorite!!) Then I just made one last night and I replaced the apples with blueberries! It is our go to weekday breakfast now I just leave it in the dish with tin foil and we heat up three servings every morning!! 😃
@@jewelsbarbie Probably about 2 teaspoons! I don’t always measure exactly. You’re welcome it is my favorite flavor so far! I’ll probably keep making it all year. 🎃
I just recently found you not sure how BUT I am fan for life. I made this oatmeal today and it was delicious. OMG what a terrific recipe. Thank You for guiding and teaching from your experiences
I don't follow recipes either, they are guidelines. And when people ask me for recipes I've made up, I can't give them one. I don't really measure anything unless I'm baking. I love how you guide us, it's very natural for you.
I love that you reuse your Ziploc bags for your dried goods and pie crust with the Saran wrap, very money conscience and I appreciate that. I am learning the newer technique too from you and your energy is amazing and the way you teaches just is awesome!!! Thank you ♥️ thank you!!!
I made your No Knead Bread last week. Tonight, I have everything together for homemade pastry dough to make apple hand pies, tomorrow. You have definitely given me inspiration and confidence to get in the kitchen and try new things! Thanks for sharing. ❤
I just made your BAKED OATMEAL🥰 I made APPLE CINNAMON and BANANA TRIPLE BERRY!! I am so excited to implanting your ideas to my little homestead❤️. 4 Thumbs up here in Michigan!!!!🥰😊
This is one of the best cooking from home channels I have found. I am a stay at home Mom and these things are similar to what I have done. Girl, you are a great speaker! Very engaging! God Bless you!
I saw you when Jessica with Roots & Refuge commented recently about finding you and I have enjoyed watching your videos. You are encouraging me to do more cooking… even if it is only for myself. ❤️
I just made a double batch of your baked oatmeal last night, but my husband wanted canned peaches in it. So I added a jar of sliced peaches, juice and all, instead of the apple sauce and chopped apples. Then I still did cinnamon but then added a heavy pinch of nutmeg as well because I thought that sounded great. Oh man, these are sooo good! Oh, I also had a quart of egg whites that was mostly gone from a recipe that needed using up, so I ended up adding that to the mix as well, after having added the 10 eggs, because I realized it was going to expire soon! So I just tossed in a little more oats and was good to go! This morning my 2 kids split one slice, I am eating one now that they headed off to school, and my hubby took one with him to work also! This is a definite win! ❤️❤️❤️
Just watched your sausage rolls video. Can’t believe you haven’t grown up with them. In South Africa it’s a staple for all functions. I’ve tried all sorts of filling. The easiest is packets of sausage. Just remove the casing. Thin it out a bit and WHAM. Beautiful sausage rolls. Even take Viennas or better still , cheesy or bacon viennas. We get beautiful , good quality ones in SA. Put them in your pastry and roll up. Thank you. I’m in bed for a week , recovery . And am binge watching you. Thanks for getting me thru this painful time. Love you to bits
Thanks so much for the oatmeal recipe! You mentioned it in a recent bulk cooking video and I decided to go looking for it. Glad I found it, I have it in the oven now! I have a big family and now that I have 2 teen boys in sports I need all the protein breakfasts I can get my hands on! 🎉
I just wanted to say that I tried meal prepping breakfast and have been eating them all week. It is making a huge difference to how much morning housework I have to do, first cooking (eggs for me and whatever each of my kids wants as I let them choose) and then cleaning up. Thank you for the great ideas!
So funny that your girls made an appearance while you were talking about their eggs. Your wide eyes approval demonstrated how good the sandwiches were.
I really love how you take the time and explain things, I really think I will try doing a crust again! Thank you, for ahowing me how to do it! Don't mind the haters, just delete them! Keep doing what you do, you're great! love your style! Caroline
I use to batch cook, but stopped. I need a new freezer. It’s refreshing to see someone who batch cooks for two and not a large family. Thank you for sharing!
I finally made the cooked oats for my husband and it was a hit! I made a half recipe in an 8x8. He could not taste the eggs at all. I used our home-canned applesauce. Had an older can of fried apples, so used that in lieu of the fresh apple pieces. I also heated up the applesauce a bit in the microwave and mixed in a scoop of unflavored protein powder before adding it to the dish. Husband didn’t taste the extra protein, either!
I just made my first baked oatmeal. Oh my gosh. I've been missing out. I made a apple cinnamon brown sugar oatmeal. DELICIOUS. Keep up the good work. You are so inspiring and make me wanna try new things and get my freezer stocked up with meals to help my family eat better and save me time!
I remember watching this video when it first came out. So I put it in a file to try later. So today, I decided to try the oatmeal bake. It was delicious 😋. It will be put in my recipe file to make it again.
I love your channel. You work very hard and do so many things that many women don’t do in their life time. I like all of your videos, when you work on the garden you give me ideas, this is my second year planting. Last year I planted peppers and tomatoes and it went well. This year I planted zucchini, eggplant, pickle’s (different varieties) peppers, onions, lettuce, radishes and tomatoes. I don’t have a big backyard so it’s in small quantities. If my plants take off I will send you a picture. I also like when you cook. I can see that you enjoy all you do. It is very rare to see a young woman do all of that. Thank you for charging.
Nice!!! Those both turned out beautiful! I sent you a pic of my first sourdough pizza! You can make quiche the same way using sourdough so I’m definitely going to make both of these!! You’re super efficient and I love that! You’re doing a great job on this channel
@@lindastrandquist2429I just bought some pickling lime to waterglass my eggs. They can stay in the solution over winter, and it preserves the eggs so that you can pull them out as needed. People have been preserving eggs this way since at least the 1700's. Caveat: The eggs cannot have been washed. They still have to have their "bloom" on them. Also, you can't put soiled eggs in as it will contaminate the solution.
Great video. Just for those who do not know. I see that you do this, however newbies may not understand the importance of cold/icy in making crust, it is very important to getting a flaky crust, also I must agree with another viewer, lard (leaf lard) is the best for crust. Keep up these great videos :)
When I was a kid my folks would buy a half a cow and a half a pig and fill our freezer. with the pig the lard came in buckets for free. it was the only thing I used for crusts. You'll love it once you try it.
11:11! 🙌💓 ..... this video is amazing! (They all are. 💘) Can you do a behind the scenes of what it looks like to plan your meals? ...like putting together your shopping lists, menus for the month, favorite recipes that you eat all the time (like this breakfast episode)...garden planning, etc? ...i guess basically just more of what you're already doing. 😝 Love you and thank you! 😊
I love that you reuse your zip lock bags, I do too, it’s so wasteful to only use them once and throw them away! I get many uses out of mine before they start falling apart. Love your channel 🙂
Yesss! I made the baked oatmeal for my teen son and he liked it! Said he'll have before school instead of sugar cereal. I did add more sugar but it's still more well rounded than the cereal plus I have 30lbs of oats lying around 👍
I just found your channel last night watching your freezer meals. I subscribed! I love how you prepare food, keep dishes to a minimum and everything looks delicious!
You have INSPIRED me so much....I live in Manteno IL, I'm plotting out my garden, have all my canning supplies ready and am doing a huge freezer meal prep during Christmas vacation. Thank you so much for sharing all of your amazing knowledge:) I'm wondering if you will share some of your True Crime favorites! Happy Thanks giving :)
I just found your channel today. I loved the pie crust and breakfast prep video. Was that America’s Test kitchen the book you showed? I love to bake but have never tried to make my own crust I usually cheat and buy the ready made 😄 one of the reasons is our stove is upstairs where we have no heat or ac so I don’t go up to cook much, most of my cooking is crock pot or instant pot downstairs. The Lord had answered our prayers and we are moving into a home in a little over a week. I can hardly wait to have my own warm and homey kitchen. I love to cook so anything I can do to meal prep is awesome!
I want to appreciate DR RORPOPOR HERBAL on RUclips who has general cure for all kinds of disease such as Staph, HPV, HIV, herpes treatment, cancer, diabetes, fardyce spots, and many others i was completely cured from PCOS.....💯💯
I'm single and hate cooking so I'm thinking that some freezer meals would be good for me to do. I was doubting if it was a good idea until you said, "I only have to clean my kitchen once" game changer! :) Thanks!
Oh Becky, I've found you recently and literally binge watched you on you tube, I'm fully up to date with your life now and congratulations on baby A. I've got the baked oats in the oven as I type, can't wait to try it. I love your videos, you are a huge inspiration ❤️
Some of my favorite baked oatmeal combinations are banana blueberry, peach blueberry and pumpkin craisin. And in making my recipe, I've gradually decreased the amount of sugar that now I don't add any, the fruit is sweet enough on its own. Except for the pumpkin one, I drizzle molasses on it once it reheats
I think I'll try making my first ever quiche after watching this video. It always seemed so difficult and complex to make the crust that I never tried but you make these things look so easy that it has given me the confidence boost I needed :)
Same on the recipes, I have a really hard time following them exactly!! But I'll read a cookbook cover to cover for ideas:) Thanks for the tip on adding a dozen eggs to baked oatmeal, it's a winter staple for us!
I try hard to follow baking recipes but I find it so restrictive lol my husband LOVES following recipes exactly. That’s why I would rather cook then bake
Made the baked oatmeal this weekend with apples and fresh blackberries. It’s so delicious! I never thought about cutting and freezing apples. Such a great idea during apple season.
Ok ok Becky this is the video I was looking for where you talked about that cookbook. I’m saving this video lol and making notes. You are truly inspiring to me & I’m so grateful I ran into your video one day. Much love from Western KY ✌🏻❤️🙏🏻 sorry I’m old & don’t have Instagram yet 😂😂😂😂😂 Loved the live last night. You’re so much fun & always helpful! I’m making baked oatmeal for the 1st time tomorrow. Thank you!!! 💖💐💚🙏🏻
Definitely going to try out the baked oatmeal and pie crust recipes! I love making quiche but always resort to using a premade crust because I've struggled so badly with making crusts from scratch (both shortening and butter crusts). Will be making my artichoke & four Italian cheese and my goat cheese, tomato & basil quiches soon. They'll taste even more delicious with a good homemade crust! Thanks so much for sharing! I only found your channel about a week ago, but I love it 😊
I'm so happy I found your channel. Mornings are the worst for me and it JUST ME in the house! You are a beauty soul. Nice to see a confident woman who does not need to show her body for LIKES and SUBSCRITIONS. Keep up the good work. :)
Hi Becky. I’m a 75 year old fan in SC. Just love you to bits. I have my first baked oatmeal in the oven right now for my husband. But 😟 I followed the written recipe at scratch pantry and it didn’t the vanilla listed. Hate I missed that. Vanilla makes every taste yummy.

Right! The baked oatmeal is stupid tasty!
It’s 6am and I should have know better than to watch this… I’m not a breakfast eater but boy am I hungry now!! 😳😳☺️
I love that you don't have a 2-5 minute intro to your video's. You get right to the point. Thank you for that. You are AMAZING!!!
You have a natural way of teaching while demonstrating that is both informative and entertaining,

I made the Baked Oatmeal the other day. I loved it! My kids... not so much 😆 my mom came today and we sliced it and baked it again (like you do with biscotti). Topped it with some melted chocolate and now they love it.
That biscotti trick to get your children to eat the baked oatmeal is ingenious - well done!
Yay! That's what it's all about!! Sorry, I'm late to reply!
I have fallen in love with your channel 💕 great info an very well done
Thank you so much! That is so sweet to say :)
You are such a fabulous home keeper… and I love you don’t talk a lot before you film…you get to it and you’re fantastic.
Looks so good!
welcome!!
For the Oatmeal topping, mix the brown sugar with close to room temp melted butter (or not super hot), a bit of rolled oats, add chopped pecans or walnuts and sprinkle it on top before baking... it'll make it extra crunchy and nutty and delicious 😋 I do this to my sweet potato casserole and everyone loves it so much
You are an AMAZING person! Refreshing to see such an intelligent, resourceful, yet kind hearted young woman. 🌻🍂🌾🍁🍃
That’s a great idea!
Jan xx
Take care, Miss Jan
It’s great to know that you learned to cook via America’s Test Kitchen. I did too and am confidant to step right up and attempt to make whatever I’d like. I’d very much like to have the oatmeal bar and the quiche in my home every week. I’d like to at least have the recipe in hand before I engage in making what you did. After binging on your vlogs for the past 24 hours, I’ve learned that you’re great company and so I’ve subscribed to your channel.
I love watching you do everything. Just bein yourself
I love your oatmeal and quiches- you are very correct- great base recipes and flavor changes! Thank you. Lots of love and gratitude.
I want to try that pumpkin spice bake so badly! 😋 May I ask how much pumpkin spice seasoning you added? Thank you so much for the idea!
My grandmother always made home made pie crusts & she made the sides the same way. Her pies were all amazing!
I just made your BAKED OATMEAL🥰 I made APPLE CINNAMON and BANANA TRIPLE BERRY!! I am so excited to implanting your ideas to my little homestead❤️. 4 Thumbs up here in Michigan!!!!🥰😊
Just binge watching your shows four days in a row
Becky, you are so cool. I made this right along with you and it is a morning game changer. Thank you for your inspiring videos!
my mom's a chef. this is exactly how she taught us to cook. Love your vids.
Wow that’s awesome
This is one of my favorite homestead channels. And I’m not even a homesteader!!
Carol!! Thank you so much!
I just wanted to say that I tried meal prepping breakfast and have been eating them all week. It is making a huge difference to how much morning housework I have to do, first cooking (eggs for me and whatever each of my kids wants as I let them choose) and then cleaning up. Thank you for the great ideas!
You are welcome!
wear short sleeves or pull them up. good lawd
Caroline
Great video! Thanks for sharing your skills on prepping breakfasts for the week. Look forward to more.
I use to batch cook, but stopped. I need a new freezer. It’s refreshing to see someone who batch cooks for two and not a large family. Thank you for sharing!
Oh good I’m glad! Thank you
I finally made the cooked oats for my husband and it was a hit!
Omgoodness…I just can’t give you enough praise. Your video’s are amazing! I’m going to share with someone right now that I think will enjoy them.
Wow, thank you!
I saw your picture! It looked amazing! I try to be efficient doesn’t always happen though :)
You won’t regret making them!
Silly me! I have 9 chickens...for just me. :-/ (Not sure what I was thinking...) I'm definitely making the baked oatmeal and the quiche!!!
It's called chicken math! I almost bought 16 more chickens the other day..... I'm trying to wait until 2022. Lets see if that happens lol
Well sometime the lay like crazy other times not so much. Do you freeze your eggs when you get too many.
@@lindastrandquist2429 do you have tips on freezing eggs safely?
Great video. Just for those who do not know. I see that you do this, however newbies may not understand the importance of cold/icy in making crust, it is very important to getting a flaky crust, also I must agree with another viewer, lard (leaf lard) is the best for crust. Keep up these great videos :)
When I was a kid my folks would buy a half a cow and a half a pig and fill our freezer. with the pig the lard came in buckets for free. it was the only thing I used for crusts. You'll love it once you try it.
I'm in my 60's now but my grandmother always used half lard half butter and her pastry melted in your mouth.
11:11! 🙌💓 ..... this video is amazing!
I just watched your video again and I’m starting to make a playlist of your videos but I definitely want to try myself.
Thank you so much Becky!
Wow thanks so much! I’m glad you are enjoy them :)
Your baked oatmeal has saved me on school mornings with the kids!
Wow it close by where my parents live, they live in.
Thank you, Becky! I really enjoy your channel and will be trying my hand at making a couple quiches today!
Oh yum!!
I have an abundance of pears from my trees so I’ll try to chop and freeze like the apples! Thanks for the idea
You will love it
You're my favorite person to watch make pie crust
I'm glad you found it!
I’m hopeless with following a recipe. Can just about guarantee I change something. Love your channel it shows heaps of useful information.
Me too! lol
I watch you a lot and for along time. You help me cook better and you make me smile, and what breed is your bogs. Love them
You are just brilliant. Wondering if you will cross over. A new generation of Martha Stewart. Friggin awesome! great energy…
Thank you :)
Did the baked oatmeal, wonderful breakfast. Thanks Becky👍
