I've fixed thousands of servers in my time, and sadly many "techs" don't even know about this method of troubleshooting called elimination!
Strip everything from a system and boot only a motherboard. Boots up? Add piece by piece until you find what's wrong.
No touch no faulty :D
I think I would do the same and advise the customer not to bother with replacing the screen. So many people buy touchscreen laptops and AIO desktops and find they hardly if ever use the touch feature. You just end up with aching arms and fingerprint smears all over the screen. 😆 The webcam might be a problem though but I guess if you really need one you can plug in a USB webcam.
even windows don't think touch screen / tablet style is a good idea anymore...
They tried to push this trend in Windows 8 and things went sour quickly.
And I agree, using touchscreen on a home system is more of a hassle than convenience...

Also there are other issues, sometimes the touchscreen gets crazy and starts ghost touch, pressing randomly. I think the webcam uses the LVDS cable, not that one.
Thats nuts, LOL, Touchscreen, I had similar fault, had to touch the screen when its booting!
I'd check the 5V and 3.3V on touch connector when plugged in. If any of them drops you might disconnect that one and get some functionality back eg camera (usually connected on a 5V usb-like interface)

Back in the day touch screens were the big thing like media center in cars that dident have touch screens or the newer laptops id see pople using the screens tapping away then getting bored and never using it again, for alot of laptops it was a selling point and that was it really but i never seen the benifit of them, not unless its in car or a media control unit, Good find and i agree i wouldent miss it if it was taken out of action and would defo be happy to get the laptop back at a decent repair price

My curiosity wishes you would have searched for the fault in the touchscreen. Could be as simple as some cap shorting :).
I had a laptop with a touch screen once. Never again. The image quality is usually worse, and we never really use the touch screen. Instead, I keep it disabled.
I think the webcam does not communicate through the cable but using the LVDS one as usual. So I am guessing the customer only lost the touchscreen.
No capacitor no problem. In this case: No touch screen no problem :).

I got asus aswell but everytime hdd runs on 100% and loptop freeze badly, from new when I bought it . sometimes after 1h goes back normal but mostly times hdd running 100%. Any idea what I can to do in this case

Sorin try to use the touchscreen when keyboard and touchpad are freeze. Maybe the problem is laptop think to be in tablet mode or something like that and so it disable keyboard and touchpad.

My Asus zen book will stop holding a charge. I have to have it connected to an outage let for it to work. Is there any way I can swap out the battery?

Well maybe you're full of crap if you don't even post the specs of the laptop, it could be a pile sh*t for all we know. It could be the hard drive is full, virus, not enough ram, until you give some basic info, not just a brand name, I doubt you'll get far.
I guess the easiest fix you can try is to put an SSD with a fresh install
