this kind of fault banged my head once,actually there is a driver chip that drives the vrms for the CPU and that chip is powered by 5v,if that voltage is missing the laptop behaves like a dead log.in my case that chip was RT3602AE and it was missing 5V because the 5v power supply chip was faulty

18:45 I think the SSD is fine, the Laptop supposed to boot in Legacy Boot Mode instead of UEFI Mode.
The customer tried the Bios options thinking at first it was a Software issue I would say.
How would the customer have gotten into the BIOS if the laptop didn’t turn on…? 🤔

Yes, you're right according only to what we saw, not to what caused an output capacitor to ruin everything..
Surely the boot BIOS options wasn't modified randomly by itself. Mr. Sorin said that he's assuming that the customer wiped the drive. Was that when the Laptop was off!? As he never experienced a shorted output capacitor neither.
The software always controls the hardware. There was a wrong process before it turned off.
But I could be wrong, it was just a guess as I said. Nothing worth to argue and play the expert about.

Sorin, not replacing the capacitor is really bad. Because at this location it is needed for stabilizing the output voltage. The designer calculated the total capacity needed when he designed the board. Now the remaining capacitors have to bear more of the spikes and declines in power as planned. Not good. 😢

This vault is mostly because the owner disassembled the laptop, maybe he wanted to clean it but forgot to remove the battery and caused a short, and it could also be because of ESD
Hi, what could be causing the PC to restart, i.e. it suddenly turns off and then turns back on again. He does it every now and then.
At what point do you refer to. Disconnecting battery resets laptop so it does its stuff, Dell restarts 3 / 4 times.
Monitor temps to see if it is an overheating issue. Also could be a software issue, bad driver issue or hardware bad memory or hard drive.

Nice fix Sorin! Should the fans not stop when you close the lid though?
If it goes to sleep mode after closing the lid fan should stop but if laptop is not going to sleep mode the fans will still spin you can change this in control panel

Hi, I sow almost all your videos I learned a lot of each one of them, I want to ask you how to resolve Kernal-power issues?, I already tested almost steps that are indicated in some web page to resolve that problem, the only is the power because the laptop turn on without problems, the problem occur when the computer has many prosses working at same time, the temperature on the processor increase until it shutdown (protect itself). can you give me some ideas to help me to resolve de issue? please, I appreciate your help so much

FlexBV is a great piece of software. There is a free and paid version. The paid version lets you search all your schematics looking for a part on another board so if you have donor boards its an easy search same if you want pin out of an IC but do not have schematic for your board.
