I am behind seeing these comments. Sure hope you have that question answered by now.
Looks easy, but I know you can't get that big quilt under the opening of the sewing machine. There must be some hand sewing there somewhere! Hope you will respond and explain it to me. I really do want to make a quilt like this.
Well honestly, we didn't make a very big quilt. Ours measured 42" by 50" which is about the biggest we could manage to fit under our machines!
I've made many of these puff quilts and this method looks harder to master

How hard would this be to do by hand or do you have any recommendations for doing the pleat by hand?
Our recommendation would be to just be patient with your fabric and to be patient with yourself 💘
So the pleat would just a a few stitches to hold it?
What type of juki machine is that ? I am wanting to invest in one !
