I first watched this 72 hours ago, and already have 134 puffs made in purples, blues and greens... Ooops. Because I didn't have enough half finished quilt projects.
That's amazing! Once you get in the swing of things, it goes by quick!
How many puffs do I need completely?
This is honestly one of the best and clearest quilting tutorials I’ve seen. You made it seem so attainable. Thank you!!
Thank you for sharing your process with us! I loved hearing about your grandmother’s quilt 😍😍😍
Your quilt turned out soooooo beautiful ❤
I appreciate the way you mitered the corner of your quilt, and that you made it the same way as your grandmother made it.
Your quilt and your grandmother's are beautiful! My mom made a puff pillow when she was a teenager so when i saw your Instagram posts I was immediately in love! I hope to make one using the scraps from all the masks I've been making.
I love your way of doing this sew an empty section to a full section, fill it seal it and then go on to the next row awesome idea
Great video, I'm still learning and this tutorial makes me more confident!
Thank you!!
I absolutely love this quilt! I found this by way of your Sawtooth Star Block. You continue to add to my addiction!
I made a puff quilt using your tutorial. Thanks so much for the clear directions! It's now my favorite quilt!
Quilting always amazes me. This looks soooo good and I was worried it would be extremely difficult. But you explained it so well, I think this will be my autumn project!
This is adorable!
Seems like something I can finish and won’t be a ufo :)
Just beautiful! Thank you for this!!
I'm obsessed with the idea of making a puff quilt one day. This made it look doable!!!
This was such a great tutorial. I consider myself a beginner - but I think I might tackle this on a small scale for a crib size first or a lap blanket for the kids! Such a nice hierloom!
It looks adorable puffy and cozy!
Beautiful !!! Thank you for the video & I can't wait to start making mine!!! Such inspiration
Absolutely brilliant.

This looks so high quality and I love your fabric choices!
This is beautiful! I love that you are making quilts based on your grandmother's quilts! That is so sweet! I'm excited to try this pattern!
I just finished mine! Took me five months. I love it.
Love this so much! Thank you for the tutorial. What a treasure you have in your grandmother’s quilt.
I can’t wait to get started. Thank you
Obsessed with your quilt!
Great tutorial! I think I can do this now. I can’t wait to sort my fabrics. Thanks for sharing 😊
OMG it's absolutely gorgeous!!! 😍
I’ve always wanted to make a quilt like this thank you for the tutorial
I’m up to sewing the rows together of a 2m by 2m version of this quilt and could never have gotten started without your tutorial. So easy to follow; it’s been an absolute blast so far 😁😁
Loved this! Adding it to my ‘to make’ list. Thank you 😊❤😊
The quilt that you made and the one your grandma made are both very beautiful.
Beautiful!! I love your color gradient, so much. I would really like to do this with dusty blues, sage greens and Beatrix Potter fabric!
💓I've always wanted to make one of these! Thanks for the great tutorial! 💓
My grandmother made me a puff quilt as a kid ! I loved it
This is so beautiful! I’m sick but if I feel better tomorrow, I’m starting on this! Now just to pick colours. I love the hand quilted element too! And how you honoured your grandma. Thank you for sharing!
Wow. Just wow. ❤️
Thank you, what an easy way to construct this...almost did it another way before I saw your video! Merry Christmas to all my quilting buddies!!
You are an amazing teacher 💕
Excellent video, very clear and precise instructions. TY 😊
I love your tutorial. Thank you for sharing.
Very impressive! I love the simplicity with which you explain each step.
Thanks for sharing this idea! I will be scouring a thrift shop for black and white fabrics and make one. Again, this is such an easy pattern with lot of details,I love it♥
You did a really great job of describing how to make this quilt. Thanks.
This is by far one of the most thorough enjoyable tutorials I've ever seen!
Wow. I love your puff quilt. It's my favorite color combo as well. My grandma made quilts and my mom makes quilts. They passed their love of crafty and sewing onto me. Isn't it so awesome to carry on that tradition and add your own modern twist. I do the same. One of these days I plan to tackle a quilt like this. I have a bunch of flannels that I think would make a very cozy Puff Quilt.
This is such a cool idea and a very thorough but simple to understand tutorial. Thank you!
Wow this is amazing! Just the most beautiful quilt I’ve ever seen- you did a wonderful job on placing the colors to make such a beautiful ombré effect!! Applause! I’ve literally just discovered this puff quilt idea that apparently has been around a long time lol I’ve never seen one before today and out of the ones I saw this is the prettiest one! Thanks for making this video ❤️
Saw you in Misty’s program and loved it. Just found out the we going to be granny’s again to a baby girl (the first girl) and I’m very excited. Will be making one for her (can’t be pink because my daughter doesn’t like the color). Thank you for your tutorial.
Wow, so beautiful.
Confident I can do this now, great project for the winter and can do it in easy to manage rows! Let's get started x
Thank you so much I love this easy way of puff quilt...now I'm ready to try it. Thanks so much
Simplest tutorial ever you’re the best 😘
I have been dying to find something to sew and i just found it!!! I am SO excited to start this!!!
Thanks. I am a new quilt maker, and learned such a lot from you. Thanks for making it clear and so easy! Now I can start mine.
Like Whitney, I've been saving my scraps from mask making and this is the ideal project to use them up. I read your blog post first then came to watch your video. Thanks for a great tutorial :)
I just finished my first puff quilt. The top was complete before I stuffed the puffs by cutting open the bottom layer, stuffing and using fabric fusion tape and a patch to close them up again. I also used a five inch on a four inch for a loftier puff. It's so warm I have to leave the window open to sleep!
I’m 🤯! Your quilt is stunning and such a beautiful tribute to your grandmother. My great grandmother made me a quilt that I used until it literally fell apart. I’ve got to make some for my children. Thank you for such an awesome, and thorough tutorial! God Bless and Happy New Year!
Precioso!!!Muchas gracias.👍💜
Great tutorial! You have a really lovely voice and demeanour, as well as giving great, clear instructions.
однажды увидела такой способ шить и влюбилась навсегда. приятного рукоделия
Very clear and concise tutorial! I can't wait to make mine. It's gonna be months because we're building, packing and moving. It was a good time to have my Janome serviced so I wouldn't be distracted from the task at hand otherwise I would have been right in front of my machine! :-)
Thanks so much ,you explained this perfectly 🇹🇹❤
Oh my gosh, this puff quilt is gorgeous. It's definitely a must do for me. Actually, this is the first I've seen.
Ur quilt looks so beautiful ❤️
Amazing video, thank you!
Beautiful!!
Thanks a lot.. this is the first time I learn how to do this quilt
I love it!!!!!
Beautiful, colour very nice.
Great tutorial!
I am making this for my sister birthday because she has always wanted one. I thought it would be so hard but you explained it so well.
I don't even know how to sew really, but this makes me want to make this quilt.
Make this!!❤
une PURE MERVEILLE MERCI POUR CETTE VIDÉO
This is gorgeous and the perfect movie watching snuggle quilt! Great instructions and design!
Any idea how much fill you used? I am going to need to order some to do this.
A full list of materials needed for various quilt sizes is her blog post (linked in the description above). For the Small Throw shown in this video, she estimates 36 ounces of PolyFil. Have fun!
Ann Griffith thank you so much.
What a nice puff puffs 🧡🧡 love the fact that it kept it good condition after all those years. And your garanmas lable ✨✨🙏 i wonder what pen is that, i would like to easly tag my crochet blankets.
I love your fabric choices! That is my biggest problem, I rely on other quilts that I see to make my color choices because I don't feel adequate in choosing my own colors
MINE TOO !!!!!!
You did a very nice job
Thank you!
Would love to do this!!
Love this! So beautiful! I snipped a small hole in my backing when trimming the batting. What is the easiest, most effective way to fix this? Thank you!
Thank you 😊
That is darling! Many years ago I made a puff pillow and my little boys loved it to death. I think I'm going to make this for my granddaughter. So nice that you have one from your grandmother! Great tutorial- I forgot how to make it, thanks!
I bet this would be even warmer and cozier stuffed with wool fleece 2nd cuts not good for spinning… Though you would have to be very careful about washing it so as to not felt it inside the quilt. If you’re pretty far north and looking for that extra warmth probably best to just buy super wash roving. (meant for spinning sock yarn, it does not felt when washed like normal wool.)
I’m feeling excited to try this ! Great tutorial I hope there are more to come ? My only criticism is the repeating piano 😬
Quê trabalho maravilhoso!!! Apesar da mão de obra, não vi dificuldades, amei, e a forma de demonstrar foi satisfatória. Pôr quanto poderia vender uma dessas? Obrigado e boa sorte.
You use the same tune that Chef John from Food Wishes! I was expecting to see a recipe for puff pastry! Maybe you should do a collab
I love chef John and the music in his videos so I immediately thought hey this will be a cozy puff quilt to use after a big Thanksgiving meal!🤣
I loved it. I was wondering that if i dont have sewing machine can sew by hand. Is it possible
You look awesome
You've made a beautiful quilt! can we talk about warmth? I presume a poly fill would be warmer than a quilt made traditionally with (cotton) warm and natural batting because poly does not breathe. Would you make a puff quilt for warmth or the cuddly beauty of it?
Beautiful. Do you think working with a satin material would work with this technique. Would love to make a vintage style one.
Yeah ur right when u told that there's no wrong when we try any kind of the step@technique when making this
My brain at 1am while watching this decided to call your chain stitching "A Special Kind Of Mass Production". I should probably get some sleep...
