Another great video. Would love a bit more details on optimal DHEA levels, supplements, especially for men and women in their 50s. It's importance in sex hormones. Etc.
@@drrajsree Does that mean that supplementing with 25mg per day is within safe boundaries for someone with candidiasis and H Pylori, with failed antibiotic treatment?. Thanks
@@user-Red5hield-exp0ser Are you talking about DHEA? For men dosing is 10-25 mg, for women 5-10 mg, but the best way to know if the dose is correct is to have your blood level drawn (be sure to take it the morning of the labs) to see if you are in target range. Yes, DHEA won't interfere with gut issues.
Good advice. Im 58 make overall good health. Weight lift 4 days a week. Tried DHEA at 25mg a day for 1 month. Took blood test before and after. Starting level was 183. My T level was 400. After one month my DHEA was 238. My T level jumped to 530. The problem? My estridiol also jumped from 27 to 46. I stopped and then got all this weird feelings like cold sweats anxiety that to this day hasn't totally gone away. Its been a year. I felt great when my numbers were up but didn't like the estridiol that high thats why I stopped. I suspect now that the DHEA threw off other hormones that have not recovered and as of this month my DHEA has not recovered either...at 80. Im meeting with a Dr next week who specializes in this . I think the plan will be DHEA, test other hormones, and keep the doctor monitoring me!
Maybe that’s why i feel sometimes some “pressure” on my lower back, it could be the caffeine ☕️ I only have 2 small ones by like every person is different…
High DHEA could be genetic sometimes. It could be a stress response. Low cortisol could be from extended stress... leading to adrenal fatigue and burnout. It's best to have a doctor interpret your results in the context of your symptoms and history.
Hello, so I have recently done saliva and blood test. I have high cortisol and really low dhea-s(42) it has been this way for atleast 7 years now. My doctor has recently put me on ashwaganda but I felt even more fatigued. Is that normal? I thought ashwaganda was supposed to help with energy. I have my apt coming up mid July with the doctor. In the past I have been on dhea 10 and it gave me bad Acne and fascial flushing. I tried 7 keto-Zyme I don’t remember why I’m not taking it or if she just wanted to try ashwaganda. Have you seen great results with ashwaganda alone with your patients or did they need a combo of ashwaganda and dhea?
Pregnenolone is the precursor to DHEA. I do often supplement with this for patients low in DHEA. I have them take both DHEA + pregnenolone to optimize their DHEA levels.
@@yasmint7197 Its best to consult with a hormone specialist to best help you. They have to look at all your hormones, symptoms to understand your situation and advise.
Also have you seen any connection with adrenal damage due to radioactive iodine? That’s when my health changed was after radioactive iodine due to thyroid cancer- This was 2 years post total thyroidectomy and I was fine before RAI. Just wondered if you have heard any connections.
Is there a difference between blood DHEA and urine DHEA? My DUTCH test said my DHEA was 4200 and the range only went up to 3000. My DHEAS was like 350 and the top range was 750. So that wasn't high. My cortisol was LOW. Testosterone elevated as well as all my estrogens. I'm a mess...I feel like this is a direct ticket to adrenal cancer or a tumor. Is that the only cause of this combination? Because I'm feeling very scared about now.
Did you get this figured out. I just found out my cortisol levels are almost non existent. Started supplementing DHEA this week to hopefully fix it. My Test is low, Neutrophils low too.
Hello Doctor..I suffer from essential tremor disease. It is not Parkinson's disease..When I hold a glass of water, my hands shake and cause me embarrassment. When I get angry, my body trembles..Are there any tips for my case?
@@drrajsree I went to a neurologist and he did an EEG, and I had essential tremor, and the doctor prescribed Inderal (Propranolol) for me. It was a very effective treatment and the tremor disappeared, but I suffer from bronchiectasis, which negatively affected lung health.
Can men take low Dow dose of pregnenolone and dhea since I have severe adrenal fatigue? Will that raise my estrogen and cause Gyno? Any advise would be highly appreciated!
Hi doctor, a question: I didn’t react well when I took Bio identical hormones and when I tried DHEA alone without pregnenolone, my hair started to fall off. So why do you think? Thanks
That music alone makes my cortisol rise😄 Thanks for the great informative video! Sadly nearly every woman I know is suffering with burn out.

Wow. I saw a video where the doc said "optimal" was 380-420 men, 280-320 women. This does seem a bit high for us old folks, though.

Take DIM with dhea
Take 20 mg of Pregnenolone at night before bed and take the DHEA in the morning on an empty stomach.

What does high DHEA and lower (than average) cortisol indicate?
High DHEA could be genetic sometimes. It could be a stress response. Low cortisol could be from extended stress... leading to adrenal fatigue and burnout. It's best to have a doctor interpret your results in the context of your symptoms and history.

They should be fine to take together

If u have adrenal fatigue u need both dhea and pregnenolone
Ashwaganda wont do much in this scenario.
The acne goes away after a couple of weeks
Is there a test kit that we can send to you to get analyzed?
Ask your provider for an adrenal test kit (saliva test is best for cortisol )
What about pregnenolone?

What is a good amount/level of dhea for a woman to have in her early 30s?
Usually around 150 is optimal.
Is that 150 mcg/dl? And what do u recommend to lower? I’m at 358 mcg/dl
