Or perimenopause women too I have been having horrible painful cramps that I never had in my whole life and my gyno accused me of wanting pain meds and being a druggy - mind you I didn’t want pain meds I wanted birth control to help me since I used to be on it years ago and-I got accused of lying about my pain and my periods - As women we are on our own as far as our health and what these doctors offer is butchering surgeries that are barbaric Thank goodness for men like this man in this video with information we actually need
I am in perimenopause I’m 52 and having period issues that they come every 28 days but the last two months it’s lasted 2 1/2 weeks Mind you the past two months I lost my apartment moved in with my partner and had my whole life turned upside down on top of not sleeping well, and changing from working days to nights So of course my hormones are all over the place I just started dhea today I pray this gets me back on track cause having my period 21/2 weeks a month and being exhausted on the weeks I don’t is wreaking havoc on me and my partner
I am 47 and started dhea 50mg and pregnenelone 10mg on my bday 3 months ago. I dont take it daily, prob 5-6x a week. I am on month 4 and my sleep has really improved.
This is amazing content! I had one doctor want me to Get on Lipitor 3/2023. First time my cholesterol was not in a healthy range. I refused. Started down a reset journey and checking my hormones. My Vit D was extremely low. Adding that along with other things, my cholesterol is now in a healthy range.
What an excellent and informative video. Thank you for your detailed explanation and for breaking it down in a way that was very understandable to me. ♥
BEST vid on DHEA for Post Menopause! Comprehensive, concise & understandable. SUBBED! Please, can i take it at 68 ALONE (WITHOUT added bioidentical E2 & progesterone)? (like i used to), or do i need the combination?
That’s a good question. You shouldn’t take it in addition to HRT bc the DHEA can increase your hormone levels too high. You should def take DHEA without hormone replacement, unless your doctor says otherwise to you -Former research biologist who’s been in endocrine hell, lol
Yes, HRT becomes less effective once you’re elderly. So supplementation with Dhea would be beneficial imo. I never take a month off like he recommends though. Been on HRT, bios 17 years! Dhea about 12 or more….
Im on opioid meds specifically methadone maintenance & i take estradiol and progesterone and was prescribed 25'mg dhea i take a quarter pill & sprinkle it in my yogurt from tume to time i have zero aide effects i dont drink at all and am a light smoker i lift weights and it made my arms bigger im in peri at 56
great video!! How do you feel about providers using DHEA solely in a post menopausal woman to "try " to boost their Estradiol levels? I assume it can by boosting the test and then that spins off into (maybe) some estrogens.. but I would imagine it would not be to a therapeutic level that is needed to actually be heart/brain/bone protective? I imagine if this was such a great way to do Estradiol replacement that BHRT wouldnt even really need to be a thing?... except of course for the addition of the progesterone. TIA!!!!
What effects do beta blockers have on hormones in the adrenal glands? I take propranolol twice daily for migraine prevention, for many years, and am post menopausal. I'm concerned the beta blockers are hampering my HRT. What do you think? Thank you 😊xx
I have been doing pellet therapy for 3 years. I am now considering no longer doing pellet therapy and replacing it with DHEA. Curious what your thoughts would be?
Since I knew that is the hormone of youthful I started using it lol!! It was on my 35 now I’m 45, all good, I work out etc.lately I learned we should take w Saw palmetto, to avoid the excess of androgens etc if you are a lady. I’m in doubt about that. If someone know something about it? Please and thank you!
Good luck finding a regular doctor to give you a blood test. I just asked mine and he refused to do a DHEA blood draw. Maybe I didn't ask the right questions or maybe it's for a functional medicine doctor to do and you pay for it out of your own pocket.
10yrs ago i had a pituitary tumor removed which resulted in me taking cortef and became menapause so for the next 10yrs til now i just was taken off cortef during the time i was on cortef became depressed and locked myself away with extreme fatigue now presently im on patch estrogen pill progestrone100 MG 1 pill at bedtime plus my calcium levels were very high and im hypothyroid can you kind of talk about best treatments. Thank you
I'm going through the same thing. I started hormone therapy six months ago and just added DHEA. I am also using a testosterone gel with my therapy. I feel much better than I did before I started the hormones, but it feels like a complicated process
I am also in Australia. Docs don’t know anything about treatment for menopause generally (I had to inform my doc that oestrogen helps bone density, she didn’t know). She/he should find out about it since you asked her, or take some printed information for her /him to read. Honestly we are educating some of these doctors. Your doc needs to run bloods to see your DHEA levels as a first step. Good luck!
fresh receptors???? this my friend is entirely made up there is not a single paper to suggest this. Let me get this DHEA is good but going off it is good and titrating up is good but your always going off of it.
Thank you! Not many care about the suffering of a menopausal woman

@@dshepherd107at the age of 68 even DHEA can not rise other hormone levels enough. So it could be supplemented separately or in combination.

I really hate menopause. Men don't loose their ballz why should we loose ours?!
I don’t go to a ob gyn or any doctor for that matter so you tube is a plethora of information. Thanks!
When is the best time to take it, morning or before bed?
What about pine pollen DHEA? We use that as well as the human DHEA in Greece
HaPpY NeW YeAr Doc. Also, question for you, is it safe taking chlorella and spirulina capsules even if they're expired?

Thank you for the information , DHEA can help osteoporosis ?
What are you thoughts on taking dhea and dim for muscle gains?
Get a complete female hormone panel done. My Dr said you want to be around 100 post menopause
Thank you for the dosing recommendation: 2 months on 1 month off.

I started using algae oil for cooking for this reason.

Should you increase progesterone instead when you have more andregons/dht
For females
What is considered low levels of DHEA after you get tested? Where should the levels be at?
Are you referring to blood test?
@@thejdocrealminute4648 Yes
@@thejdocrealminute4648 Yes
Yes, blood work. I’d like to know as well. 45yro, peri symptoms and low testosterone.

Apparently, he doesn't see patients. His website doesn't exist.
That is not true. His website is there and he sees patients in Illinois - Carol Stream .
