I am 74, with high cholesterol, fairly high spousal stress, weening myself off antidepressants, low libido...how much dhea should I be taking and when?
Hello I’m 58 female, hysterectomy at 34 ovaries left, what dose of DHEA do you recommend. I have-been on hrt oestrogen only patch, for 6 years, had to come off because of headaches. I know have terrible fatigue burning in my knees, osteopenia, depression ( on sertralene)headaches, insomnia, stress, anxiety, hot flashes etc. I’m awaiting for blood tests which I paid for privately as the doctors are not helpful at all. I’ve had a consultation at a menopause clinic which suggested oestrogen and testosterone? But I am waiting for my blood results to indicate my hormone levels. My question is would DHEA be sufficient to regulate my hormones and what dose do you recommend or do I need oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone, I’m so confused have no energy, and feel dreadful. Thankyou.

But didn't stay with it that long. Knew Power lifters that did though without problems. A lot of info on the web. Do some research and good luck.
Everything above 100 mg is risky. Start from 50 mg and do it for two month while slowly increasing to 100 mg a day to fight tolerance. Then stop for two weeks and start again from 50mg. Do not swallow but put under your tongue and keep so for 15 min until it will be dissolved in mucus and absorbed in your mouth.
Can you tell something about hairloss from dhea? I read a couple of reviews of people who had that. I have some symptoms which can be dhea related. I am a wonan, 41 and my dhea level is 156
Take magnesium with DHEA AS magnesium can inhibit the activity of 5-alpha-reductase, an enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT. By inhibiting the activity of this enzyme, magnesium can help to reduce DHT levels in the body, which can help to prevent hair loss, irritability, headaches etc.
