One point here: If you can extend the budget, go with 1000 PPR encoder instead of 600 PPR for steering wheel.

No, steering axis only works with encoder.

Your board should have specifically ATMEGA32U4 microcontroller.
Just check for this.

This EMC firmware doesn't support directly, Need to make GIMX adapter. We will make video soon.

As of now I have not tried, but saw came across some videos showing it doesn't support all the games.
In that case they were using Diy GIMX converter. Using GIMX, you can make it compatible.
