- Testing Controller vs Steering Wheel in CarX Drift Racing Online to see how the drifting feels like on both devices. For tandems controller is way smoother and easier. On a steering wheel it's more fun but you don't have as much accuracy. I tested with multiple cars as well since some drift cars on steering wheel feel so much better than other cars.

I am so glad you mentioned this. I've been talking about this controller issue for a while now. The assist makes some turns very inconsistent. Sometimes it turns your car super fast, sometimes it just locks you straight in the middle of a transition. It is not due to your controller or the tune. It is an issue with the assist itself. I really wish they would fix this as it makes it very difficult to have 100% accuracy if your controls never do the same thing for the same input.

I wish someone would cross car x's car customisation and graphics with assetto corsa's drift physics, it would be the perfect drift game
Get a pc and use Patty's Realism Mod, it takes ac tire physics and puts it in carx. Good blend of both :-)

The problem with the controllers is that they don't reach the 100% steering (you can actually see it in the UI) it's something related with drift in the analog sticks or just bad calibration, that's why sometimes you turn faster with a controller than the other
It would be nice to see the diffrence between logitech and trustmaster and are you able to make a video which describes the drift physics in ac, carx and forza
i would like to see a logitech wheel vs thrustmaster! It would help me decide incase I want to buy a wheel later.

As someone who’s been playing controller all his life and finally made the switch to a wheel a month ago. Controller is 10x easier in CarX and it isn’t even close lol so much smoother feeling and consistent for me
Same for me I look at the wheel as just a fun thing to play with. But if you going try hard I'd say controller 🤷🏿♂️
I'm playing with max caster on a keyboard and i've got to say? it looks absolutely STUNNING. You can't reallly tandem with keyboard bc you cant really control your angle but it looks cool in solo mode.
I think the reason why 360’s are so hard on controller is because with assist on it will always counter steer no matter how wide you are. So during the 360 the assist is trying to counter the 360 so that might be why it’s harder
I don't really have an issue doing regular 360s if you tune it right you can pull it off pretty easy but doing a reverse 360 with some cars can be wildly inconsistent.

@@prod_by_auto you have to counter steer yourself and it’s waaaayy harder than with assist on. But you do have more control so it’s for the advanced of the advanced
Hi Goosiest. Here controller user. I have same problem with turning left also. It's much sharper to turn to right, but to the left it's kinda slow turning. Tought it's my controllerer. Now i see and understand it's games issue!
Controllers are not that bad for drifting

I use a keyboard on CarX, because my controller's direction feels so hard (I think that's because it's not set up 🥴). With that, I've already done some Ebisu Jumps and this cool. ☺️

imma give a tip for noobs at steering wheels tip: the cars that has longer wheel base is better in steering wheel but controller any car you can drift and yes goosiest do g29 vs thrustmaster in carx sadly direct drive wheels some of them support it some of them don't so you cant use r9

I tried MTA Drift Paradise with controller and I ended up playing that instead of CarX just because you can drift with controller while being able to countersteer. It's way more satisfying and brings me memories of when I used to drift in NFS Most Wanted (the first one where you could change turbo and aerodinamics in the ingame menu in freeroam to drift like a god)

I remember when carX was a mobile game with one car & one track
PS4 player here and I have drifted with controller assist turned off the only one way I can do it is with 2 different tyre adhesions like 100 on the front and 110 on the rear and it works surprisingly well just got be smooth and very aware of your speed

I like using assist off , but the car loses speed and wiggles which reduces speed and causes very low speed drifting. Its also not easy to transition. I love carx but sticking to Fh5 for fun.

I played carx for about 5min then loaded assetto corsa. I might try it again. You know what sucks about steam is I cant give my games away. I wish they would let us do that.
This is the first time seeing Goosiest using controller
360s with a controller really depend on your tune. I use the mustang on a single gear tune and I can do such perfect 360s like I am on ice bc of the torque I put all in one gear. With all that power all I do is turn and press the brake and I slide and slide

I had the same problem with controller. You need to install x360ce and configurate it with carx, there are videos about it. Delete vjoy if you have it on your pc and calibrate your controller in carx, put about -920, 920
