Cool thing about CarX is that when you practice long enough you can actually see and feel the progress, so it makes for a very nice confidence booster. 30 hours into the game and I'm already mesmerised by it, on top of that it is my first ever car game so that's an interesting thing. Nonetheless; one of my biggest problems is the panic setting in when someone is chasing behind me, and that I focus way too much on what others are doing to the point where I become sloppy. I know these things will get fixed overtime, but might you have any extra advice on them? Thanks for the video! (Edit) Just to add, the part where you said watch other players and focus on what they're doing is one of the best advices in my opinion. I'd like to add that if you're clueless about a move(as I was about doing 360s), just ask people in the lobby. There will always be at least one guy willing to take a couple mins to help. Prime example; asked a guy how I can do 360s and if my tune just isnt right for them, and he went out of his way to tell me everything about it. After I spectated him and took his advice, I managed to do a nearly perfect 360 in my first try.
Hey bro I know what you mean about "panic setting in" when somebody chases you. When I was relatively new to the game I got pretty decent at chasing, but when leading I couldn't stop looking at the car behind me. Now, I don't have this anymore. The main reason being is probably that after enough hours, the tracks you play a lot become just second nature. It's all muscle memory. When I'm leading on red rock I barely need to look ahead at the track because I already know what speed and angle I need to have to lead smooth and easy. I promise man, just keep playing and you'll get better. My big tip is, when leading, don't try to do go where you think the chaser wants to go. Go where you want to go, and if that's not the outside line, it doesn't matter. Just commit to whatever line you're taking, and be predictable. So let's say you're going into a corner but not taking the complete outside line: that doesn't matter, the person behind you is just looking to get on your door, not to ride every outside line. So as Kirai said, don't transition too fast, or too slow, just be consistent and predictable. Hope this helps in any way. If you want to practice tandems DM me on Instagram @aliendrifts
It rarely happens to me to find someone with the same drift style as me. I drift with full angle and smooth lines. While some can’t even comprehend why i’m not transitioning when you can just keep full angle into the next turn.
lol same here I can’t drift fast with out flying off a cliff so I prefer long smooth angles and I mostly have to be the Leader so they will do my style
one of my biggest problems while chasing is going too fast. Even when I’m tryna transition I always end up struggling to stay back even if I’m not full throttle and holding my brakes
Thanks brother this was super helpful I was struggling before this video now I can finally tandem with people and everything u said worked perfectly 😁👍🏻
one thing I might add for doing a lead on tandems you would want to have the leader just using only throttle to control the drift no brakes just slowly on or off the throttle when doing the lead run and only use the foot brake when slowing down for tighter corners and then the chase run is easier if they can run the same as the leader the brakes really only need to be used for slowing down like when racing but for drifting also [no hate here] just giving my two sense from 1.2K hours of the game
I made some progress for awhile up until a couple months ago but I feel like I’ve taken steps back in tandems. It’s frustratingly addictive lol Update: I’ve been trying out different cars and tunes and I’ve made some gradual improvements again!
I’ve been trying to tandem and I’m getting better but I find people who drift so slow I can’t hold the line and car starts straightening up or coming in to close to the corner or they drift so fast I can’t keep up even if I hold the inside line or I find the people who drift just right for my style and some idiot will jump in front of me and mess me up and then I can’t catch back up, or they start doing 360s into corners (which is okay but I can’t do it) or going off road and taking routes I’m not expecting them to take just can’t seem to find the right lobby with right people to learn with 🤷🏻♂️😅
Damn your colours look so much better then mine :/ and as a wheel user on CarX I find it even more difficult trying to drift with others especially controller players with assists on.
I usually end up as the lead but rarely run into people who can properly follow over time ive cut down my flicks. I mean I do use my hand brake on Kami entering 1 s turn only because the entry speed is so fast.
I bought carx yesterday started playing for 2 hours and I can already seeing myself drifting smooooothly I've spent 200k on cars and upgrades then I grinded to 100k and that's where I left off
i can lead no problem I'm slow and smooth, chasing is a problem because most people are fast and aggressive but i can adapt. the real problem is not hitting them i have to work on my spacing and breaking but not over breaking
good video 🤙 but not if you want to emulate real drifting.. lead driver should never adjust to the guy behind or wait for him, its entirely the job of the chase driver to catch up and adjust, also focus more on throttle control than braking in real life brakes dont last forever. but you can also just enjoy the game howerver you want its not real life but I like to give tips for those who care about it being realistic, no hate 🤙✌️
Whatcha his video about rolling your stick. Once you master that, combined with left foot braking, you can hold exactly the angle you want for as long as you want.
i get throttle control is important but at least show some examples... or 'example situations' with controller inputs..like for instance using brakes during tandems? does that mean you're 'slightly' tapping the brakes while full throttling? as a guide video i would be expecting a handcam/controller layout but time to go to another video

Nah fr bro
Yep most lobbys speed drifting and cutting corners

Same bro
Only like 48 hours in. Thank you for the reassurance.. was worried I sucked 😂😭 I can hold line.. my angle meeds work
more negative front toe helps me with angle, also a little more tire pressure in the back helps.
A good tune always helps as well if your car isn’t smooth you’re probably not going to have smooth tandems, transitions etc
one of my biggest problems while chasing is going too fast. Even when I’m tryna transition I always end up struggling to stay back even if I’m not full throttle and holding my brakes
It might be your tune man. you might be too gripped up! You can try lowering your tire pressure a little and see if that helps.
Thanks brother this was super helpful I was struggling before this video now I can finally tandem with people and everything u said worked perfectly 😁👍🏻
Not the best or worst in tandems but still enjoy watching too videos like this. Always learning something new no matter who's made the video.
Bro you needa make another tandem line video

Yeah this video has nothing to do with emulating real drifting at all. Just tips on how to get better at drifting at carx 👍
Nice Green Rock😂💚
nice video, helped me so much :P can you maybe do a supra rz tune?
Can you tell us about how to hold angle for longer
