    I use satajet 5000s on both basecoat and clear. But I love the versatility of the tekna. I leave everything wide open at 29 psi and I get the best of results. Best gun for the money Imo.

    You are spot on, I spray with the Tekna Pro lite and a TE 10 set up. The results are mind blowing for cost of this spray gun. I’ve been told I do not have enough air flow in my inflatable booth for air caps 20 & 25. Great vid, thanks

    Anyone who works as a painter in a high volume bodyshop, knows all too well it's a stressful job, and no matter how easy it looks. It's not easy when your at it everyday! I'm 18 years doing it this month. And I still look at these videos because I'm always trying to learn new things. Good video man! And a very nice finish.

    I have the TE25 & HV25 & can't find any other gun to match it but I adjust my style and products to create the finish I want,
    I've tried dv1 with all caps, iwata, SATA cc, & just going to stick with the Pro lite which I have ever cap & fluid tips ,
    As for the new sata cc I don't get what all the hype is about, infact it's the most uncomfortable gun I've ever used & wastes too much paint.
    Give me your thoughts anyone please.

    I believe that the tekna is basically a gti pro lite that you are using there... It is offered in the famous "gold" color as seen with the gunman and his videos.. GTI pro lite and tekna are outfitted in the same thread patterns.. so air cap sizes are universal for both platforms. Tekna being first offered with the "TE" (te 10, te 20, te 25, te30) air caps. For what ever reason CA only allows the TE 30 for use in the vast majority of the state...

    Very interesting..."80% trigger"... why not not dial back your fluids and pressure to equal a full trigger pull and the air-horns working to the best of their ability? Not ''attacking'' you Gabriel, just wanted your thought process on this... ty for your uploads... Also, your voice in your mask... have you considered using a ''rodes mic'' with an ipad? Then you simply sync them in software - no editing besides sync... you will eliminate the muffled voice from talking via your mask to your head gear... tip: Watch out for mic rubbing also on your fabric... I agree, I like this gun at the 30 plus psi 30-33psi - super clean finish. I also spray CLOSE, not too far away and material is not maxed out - dialed back from full about 3/4 a turn.

    What’s the difference between the Te 25 and the 20 and 30 that come with the regular tekna pro lite? I’m guessing besides the color of the gun the air caps the only thing different? I use my tekna everyday and have found I like the finishes from the 20 air cap much better than the 30 or maybe I just don’t know to get the desired finishes from the 30 so for me the extra air flow from the 25 wouldn’t be as ideal I don’t think. Also I agree my tekna does best with the 1.4 I also have the 1.3 and 1.5 but the 1.4 with the TE 20 is the happy middle ground I think

    Hey bro,hope your enjoying the devilbiss.over hear in the uk we have the gti pro lite,same as tekna pro lite,except we have the cheater air kick valve at the bottom.as I’m lead to believe the air cap your using is between the hv30 hvlp and the te20.my favourite air cap is the te20 for hs clears,I also have the t110 air cap which is nice but slows down a lot.the clear we use spies hecker 8034 is very thick with vhs hardner.just got to play around with settings to your spraying style.one thing tho I have found on the pro lite is any more than 2bar/29psi it starts to split the fan .ive used iwatas,sata,devilbiss,all great guns but I always revert back to the prolite,just what I’m more used too I guess for my style.All the best bud love watching your vids.and big respect to you from fellow painter👍🏻👍🏻

    Hi Gabriel,I'm very thankful on how you compared this to the Pro-lite. I bought a "Lite" after watching the Gunman and found it to be a pretty good gun, but have always had problems with the orange peel looking worse than I would like. I've changed the caps, tips, and pressure, with some success, but was starting to think I might want to try another gun for a smoother glass-like finish with my clears. Not sure whether to go with the Tekna or try one of the Iwata's. I would love to have a gun that operates at a lower pressure so I don't overwork my compressor, and I can go slow with to watch the laydown pattern. I'm a small shop with only one car in at a time so no need to be painting the clear real fast. Your thoughts would be deeply appreciated and don't worry, I'd never come back and say you gave me bad information or advice. Just looking for your initial thoughts and what your gut tells you. And I know you say it's only your opinion as you say. But it's one I highly value!!Thanks my friend!

    Hey love your channel, I have learned so much about auto painting but I'm still a beginner. I have a quick question. Have you used Lvlp, Ive been using one lately (can't use hvlp because of a small compressor). There's not a lot of resources for lvlp online, I'm not too sure what to set psi to, with hvlp you can search it up to get a reference and fine tune to your likings. But lvlp there's seems to be little info. Do you have any recommendations, thanks!

    • @MOTIVATEDPAINTERS
      @MOTIVATEDPAINTERS  6 лет назад

      I haven't really used an lvlp before but I would say the same applies you find what works best for the kind of job you are doing. Look at what the gun is doing and if it's to peeely raise pressure. Or slow down and viseversa

      +Ramcharran Khoon Khoon so this gun is the same as the gti but not the prolite I have a prolite and it's different. If I would choose between a prolite and an iwata ws400 14hd I would take the iwata. For clear anyways.

    • @joemamma4324
      @joemamma4324 6 лет назад +1

      You keep saying this...But it is NOT a completely different gun,YES the clear/base guns have baffle plate 704163 but you can add it..hell look at both guns use the same spray head kit 703529 which includes the baffle. Every other internal part numbers including the frame is identical..And its not an EXTRA baffle.The rear one you see behind the spray head is the gasket also same part numbers..You sound like CNN over hear repeating FAKE NEWS over and over..

      THE PRO LITES ARE THE BEST GUNS IN THE WORLD...1)You can get as good of finish as any gun..2) You can find them cheap used.3)by far the easiest to get parts for 4) most cap choices Its everything,Hvlp,conventional,lvlp 5) no needle changes with fluid tip sizes..6) the most comfortable gun to hold in your hand..7) pretty much the lightest full size gun with a slightly smaller frame. I understand SOME of these are subjective or opinions ..But even so It STILL WINS.....And I LOVE SATA's Have a couple of those too..Would love a 5000 rp..IF I painted for a company that gave them to me because I took in their paint line....I would be spraying with a sata 5000...But is it the best...NOPE

    • @scottherr642
      @scottherr642 6 лет назад +1

      Dude when you order a prolite do you get that part? No you do not-its a diferent gun and try and find that baffle for sale anywhere. All Devilbiss prolite share same handle so what! The baffle makes the gun operate differently and you cant buy just the baffle.

It acts like a big blanket or sheet of clear liquid plastic for the car that basically washes off when you are done. Saves a lot of taping, paper, time, etc.
