This is terrific. My husband and I just booked this cruise for July of 2025. We are seniors and are looking for convenience and ease of getting around, to and from, etc
Hey Bill. Just watched all the trip, British Isles. We are booked on the same ship/ itinerary in 2025. Your vid gave us a great insight into what to do. PS. By the way I also are a retired police officer from Australia. All the best guys.
Thank you. We do a mix. Some were Princess and some were from other suppliers that offer a return to ship guarantee. We are very paranoid about being late so we only go independent when there is plenty of time (I would not do Paris on our own for example).
I’m enjoying and learning from your videos. Did you look into staying at one of the hotels that princess suggested? If you chose not to stay at one of them, can you give me a reason why? When you left the airport to your hotel, did you just take a black taxi? Does princess offer a transfer from the airport to the hotel? Does it have to be a package deal? Where are you stay at one of the hotels that they offer? I hate to ask so many questions. It seems like you have a lot of information to share and that I can learn. Thank you very much.
Thank you! We choose to stay at a different hotel. We are have high status with Marriott and we could stay in a nicer hotel for less. We booked transfers from airport to hotel using Project Expedition. Princess only offers transfers from airport to their hotel. There will be a ton more info on subsequent videos including post cruise.
@@ftbeat thank you very much. I really appreciate it. Like I said, I have learned a lot from your videos and look forward to more of them. Have a nice night. Oh by the way, I prefer rum also.😊
How much was the ticket from Victoria Coach Station to the Princess Cruise port? Can you buy the tickets there ? We are doing this same cruise in June 2025 Thank you in advance
Thanks for your great info. Do you know how far the national express bus drop off to the ncl cruise terminal in southampton? can we walk or we need to take a taxi to the cruise port? Thanks so much for your prompt response.
You can walk into the docks. I think NCL uses 102 or 106 berth in which case the distance is less than a mile. You may be able to see your ship from the National Express coach station.
Thanks for the info. We are also staying in London before our cruise. I noticed you said that transportation was provided to the cruise port from London. We booked through a travel agent and were told that transportation is included from the cruise port to the airport after the cruise but nothing was mentioned about getting from London to the port. I guess I'd better inquire about that. I assumed it was because we are not going to the cruise port directly from the airport and would have to find our own way. Another question if you don't mind.. How did you get from the airport to London when you first arrived? We are flying into Heathrow. Thank you so much. Love the videos.
Hi. First I’m glad you booked through a travel agent. If you are on Princess, they usually have transfers from Victoria Coach station or another in London. Ask your TA about that. It’s hugely important as it’s a good hour and a half away. We booked our transfer from airport to London through Project Expedition and it worked out perfectly.
We prefer going to a destination and doing things on our own time and not being herded around with a time constraint. There isn't much to do on the ship other than eat and drink. That gets boring after a couple days. We kind of knew cruising wasn't for us but we tried it just for the experience. Watching your cruise videos and others is much more relaxing. It was nice to meet you and Angela and look forward to watching the rest of your videos on the trip. Take care and stay safe@@ftbeat
I definitely understand on time constraints. Cruises are a great way to get a sample of many destinations but definitely not enough time to explore in detail. I am surprised that you say there wasn’t enough to do on the ship. They had, production shows, trivia, voice of the ocean, game shows, art auctions, the casino, live music, karaoke, movies and more. I do understand cruising isn’t for everyone. This was a tough itinerary with so much time in ports. It was great meeting you and stay well. Thanks for watching!
@@rob-13, You should be glad you didn’t go on the Norwegian Getaway. There were people trying to get off to go home before our cruise ended. It was the worst.

Glad it was helpful. It was very smooth
Thanks for the information!! I was looking for it and not many people wasn't as detailed. Thanks
I am loving all your videos and making notes for our cruise later this year! Thank you!!
Thanks for the kind words. I still have a couple more in the series to do.
Happy jump onboard🎉🎉🎉
Always Angela’s happy place!!!!
Great Information!
Thanks. And thank you for watching.

Hi , I'm watching your videos and really enjoying them! I was wondering if you use Princess Excursions?

I may have missed it but what did Princess charge for this transfer ? Great video.
Thank you. I believe it was like $29nper person. It wasn’t bad at all.

I believe it was $29 each way through Princess but that is subject to change. It was very convenient.

That was the best day of our cruise. Unfortunately cruising isn’t for us.
I’m sorry to hear that. What didn’t you enjoy?
