The safety comment meant a lot to me. I am also a 42 year retired cop and believe that touring a city without watching your back all the time makes it that more enjoyable.
Thanks for sharing your experience. My son and I visited London a few years ago and we loved it. The people were so nice to us. We're definitely going back to visit one day 😊
Loving your videos. We will be doing this cruise next June and got hooked on your channel with your excellent tour of the Regal! Looking forward to your upcoming videos.
I love the videos! We aren’t going on the Regal but we are basically going to the same places. Just changed our hotel for our 2 days in London before the cruise. It’s right by the eye 👁️ can’t wait
Thank you. We try to give as much info in a short time. I am glad these are being well received. It’s quite a bit of work. The rest of the series should be done over the next couple of weeks.
This is great - we're going on a 10-Day British Isles (Ireland & Scotland) with Princess Cruises next April 2025. Love the info and pace of your videos. Thank you Bill!
Perhaps we will see you on that cruise. My wife, I and her sister will be cruising from America to Southampton and continuing on the 10-day leg, before spending a week or so in Lee-on-the-Solent (near Southampton). I assume the cruise you are referring to is between April 18 and 28.
Just in case anyone else is planning a similar journey, car is not the easiest way of travelling from Gatwick to Central London. By far the quickest is the train. It is also much cheaper. Trains are used by rich and poor in the UK without the safety fears there are in some countries.
Just found your series, and I really enjoy your style! You are good at being informative, and give accurate detail. I am planning a trip for this September, so it was great to see a series filmed in September. Thanks for sharing your experiences. I'm a new subscriber.
Thanks for the kind words. I try and keep it simple and provide info and opinions. I’m glad you are finding it helpful. Warning though, we had unusually warm weather when we went!
Very informative. Looking forward to hear what you did and how you planned or timed everything out with the reservations you need for some of the sites. We're doing the same cruise next year.
I’m going on B.I.in May of next year. I enjoyed your videos & appreciate the tip of ports being industrial. Also my trip stops at Liverpool, which I am most excited about.
I have not British, but I’ve been to London five or six times. London is at least a one week adventure. Some of the areas of key interests include but certainly not limited to Camden town, Soho, the theater district, the war room underneath the parliament area, where Churchill did all of his planning and lived, the parliament building, and goes on and on and on. In addition when I retired, I spent a month in England, bought a Brit rail pass and did many many day trips from London to fantastic places like Canterbury, Winchester, bath, Salisbury, and the list goes on and on. Please don’t make the mistake of thinking you can see all of London in two or three days, that’s just not the case.
Did you buy tickets before teavel? If so who did you buy from? We are going on a B2B Cruise on Norwegian in June 2024. We are flying into London for 3 days prior to Cruise. Loved all your information on this video. Can't wait for day 2 !!!! Happy Sailing
Thanks and so happy you enjoyed. We purchased tickets directly from their website, Historic Royal Palaces as we did for Hollyrood Palace (Scotland spoiler alert lol).
Very informative video. My sister and I are going on a British Isles cruise in June and we are trying to figure out all the ins and outs. Do you have any suggestions on a service to take us from London to Dover? We would really like to not do the train or go back to airport and do the cruise line transfer.
Thank you and I am glad you enjoyed it. If you are using Princess, they offered transfers to and from Victoria Coach station which is what we used. More info on that to come.
Great video, how did you plan your sleep out? I am on my way to London soon and I am wanting to plan that out for the first night , before I cruise the follow day...
We tried to sleep on the plane a bit. Hit the ground running and stayed awake as late as we could even though we were exhausted. Slept great that night and fresh for the next day. Same strategy I used when with the NYPD working overnight tours.
It was September. We felt very safe. I’m retired from the NYPD. I felt way safer in London than in New York recently. I have a couple more videos to add as well with our post cruise stay.
Its Refreshing to haer an American not say this is wierd that is wierd .its not wierd just different and developed over a thousands of years .The Language alone took hundreds of years to develop. From Norse and Anglo-Saxon to French .Influence. Enjoy your visit but please dont say wierd .

Thank you so much. This is a little different for us. We are really glad you are enjoying it. London Day 2 will be posted Sunday afternoon!
I love the videos! We aren’t going on the Regal but we are basically going to the same places. Just changed our hotel for our 2 days in London before the cruise. It’s right by the eye 👁️ can’t wait

Great video. Appreciate the info about pre-booking entry at select locations
Glad it was helpful!
Great Vlog! I lived in London for 2 years.. miss it so much. One of the best cities on the globe, along with Lisbon and Buenos Aires (Personally)
Thank you. We try to give as much info in a short time. I am glad these are being well received. It’s quite a bit of work. The rest of the series should be done over the next couple of weeks.
Ok thanks for the info, I was thinking about that trip for next year! Will look at the other videos

Have a great cruise and thanks for watching. Our goal is to help others enjoy cruises as much as we do! Let your friends know about us please.
You’ll enjoy Liverpool! Straight down the gangplank and you’re there!

Im English from the county of Kent
Just a couple of corrections It is Whitehall not Whitehall Steet and the River Thames not The Thames River

I am curious what camera you use
Hi. I am using the DJ Pocket 3 which is a game changer. Fits right in my pocket. amzn.to/47jfqXf
@@ftbeat Thanks. We are doing that cruise next September although it has some different ports.
Was this 2-3 months ago? How was it? Safe and no problems?

Guessing you didn’t spend enough time in Edinburgh to learn to say it properly? It’s Edin-bruh or Edin-burra, not Edinburrow
We heard so many accents there, we aren’t really sure how to pronounce anything lol. Britain and America, 2 allies separated by a common language lol
