last of the Cetra. while she may have been killed in the original series and may be killed again in the remake, Sephiroth stated that all humans were once part of the Cetra until they forsoke their migratory nature and settled permanently. In the future flash forward where we see Red XIII centuries later where the city we knew covered in plants and abandoned, we can presume that either humans went extinct, or returned to their roots and re-evolved back into the cetra.
@eedd sdsd doubt it. In the original, the reactors drained the planet's life. So probably the midgar area once was a lush green area and then came shinra. And Aerith, as a cetra, either emits her own life force or attracts the lifestream in some way, so that life in her home and in the church, as places she frequently visits, can flourish even though the reactors around. So, remove/destroy the reactors and the life stream recovers. Even in midgar.
I hate that fact in the og when u see Zacks parents she says “maybe he found another woman”, 😤that’s disrespectful aerith! In crisis core Zack would visit her in between missions n he came to her for comfort when Angeal died. They need to fix that tbh 😑
