Red is my least favourite colour and an active turnoff with makeup and to a lesser degree clothing, so I find it kinda impossible to agree. I love Aerith as much as the next guy, but honestly prefer her in any other available clothing.
I love the little small details that they did in the game. Like 16:17 when Aerith said she had a safer back up route. She took Cloud the longer way to spend with him and he realized it with that little smirk. So cute!!!

Something that I like is the fact that Tifa and Aerith create such a beautiful and lovely friendship. Instead of fighting for Cloud’s affection, they instead become friends and don’t rival with each other. Girl power.

Not that there’s anything wrong with it, but Aerith’s “annoyingly cute” that makes people want to open up to her first chance they get. 😊 I love Tifa too, shes an amazing person and I like to think that they are best friends at the end of the game. Like all those who are dead come back to life, and that everyone gets a happy ending including Cloud.
I don't care if everybody prefers Tifa or that she's the most popular FF female. Aerith will always be my favorite FF girl, I love her so much. She's even more adorable, cute, precious and gorgeous in this remake that I feel my heart is going to explode... I don't want to deal with the pain to watching THAT scene in HD
I love how quick he is to forego his immediate departure to make sure she gets home safely (again). When she teases him his eyes get all big with worry, and then his little smile after he tells her he'll go with her!

He should've gone on his way but the thought of Aerith walking home alone bugged Cloud so much he offered to take Aerith home. Again. Which, if he did, Aerith would've offered to accompany Cloud again on his way to this park, then Cloud would be worried again he'd end up wanting to get her home. Rinse and repeat. They keep wanting to get the other home, again and again. Like Cloud said, with Aerith : "I saved her, she saved me, and round and round it goes.."

I always thought it was no coincidence that Aerith’s name sounds like earth. And that the name Cloud was on purpose, clouds are part of the earths sky. They belong together, the Earth and Clouds share the same sky.
ail Maya to me, it’s never been that amazing, especially now considering she knows more than she lets on but continues anyways. I don’t think I’ve ever seen their relationship as amazing. And before you say it, no I dont think that’s true for Tifa either. The link they have is a bit less true and pure thanks to Zach. And a future, I don’t know about that one.
What i love about Aerith is she doesn't let Cloud shut her out. She denies all his attempts to push her away, all with a friendly smile. I know her reasons are purely for her own sake (after seeing his sword), but she is trying to get to know him. (like she says on the date with her in the original) Cloud's 'edgy'/'lone wolf' persona easily crumbles and he just does as she tells him, begrudgingly of course, but complies all the same. It's a mirror to Tifa who doesn't confront Cloud about the doubts she has (his wrong and confused memories), because she doesn't want to cause Cloud any pain. I just love both these girls, they're both so different. Aerith is hilariously sassy and headstrong. Tifa is kindhearted and adorable. I think the remake is doing them justice so far i think :D
Perhaps she’s reminded of Zack by the sword and wants to know Cloud closer for that reason, but then she truly falls in love with him and wants to protect him by saying “whatever you think you have-it’s not real.” It’s heartbreaking and nerve wrecking but I think I figured out what she meant by it. She’d probably thought “it’s better for the both of us, seeing that I might die in the future.”
i was gonna tell you but you just kinda answered it for me lol Yeah, basically her stubbornly sticking to Cloud (despite his rudeness) was initially because of the sword (the 1st reminder of Zack she’s had since giving up on seeing him) and wants to know why he seems to have it. Of course it could just be a common sword, so she doesn’t just simply ask him directly, (but that’s just my guess as to why). I’m still unclear about the “future vision” stuff, so I have yet to guess what that could be. It’s sometimes hard to tell when Aerith is teasing or being serious sometimes (‘the don’t fall in love with me’ bit seems serious, but I can never REALLY tell) But hey I’m just speculating. So don’t take my word as fact ^u^
Yeah i just always loved how both Tifa and Aerith were (and are) so different in tastes/personality/dress sense etc. But they're also just so much depth to them both. And i just love them both so much 🥰 (If you'll excuse me gushing 😅)

In my opinion, Cloud fits WAY better with Aerith than Tifa. Aerith actually complements him, breaks him out of his shell. They are Yin/yang, the balance of the two opposites (like Squall/Rinoa and Tidus/Yuna). Tifa just feels too forced in a way, and she doesn't complement Cloud the same way Aerith does. Also I think there is way more romantic implications with Aerith, while with Tifa is more fanservice.
@@snowbuny that is actually the opposite. Cloud's fake persona was created in the Image of what Cloud thinks is the ideal soldier in Tifa's mind. While Aerith is the one he starts to soft himself to and she breaks him out of his shell. One perfect example is the red dress reveal. Cloud gets tense and speechless when Aerith shows up. That is the real shy and awkward Cloud coming through his fake persona.

Before that he was just a merc for hire but with Aerith, his desire to save her made him more human and he is now taking charge. In other words, he is now indeed a true hero, not a merc for hire. Barret leaves the post of leadership to Cloud now. Yeah Cloud is nice with other characters before, but his true character change started with Aerith. "no real cloud doesnt come out with aerith and the red dress"-> that is because Cloud copies the behavior of Zack when he judges necessary. For example, when he gives Tifa the yellow flower, he does that after she asked about it. He thought that this is something Zack would do. However in the Red Dress scene he can't do it because he is just too tense and speechless. Zack would say something like "looking good" or "nice" but Cloud can't do it because she literally reached true awkward and shy Cloud. That is why I said Cloud acts like his fake persona with Tifa and with Aerith he is his real self.

@@JustinStrife that was just one of the early ideas floating around. She was also supposed to be his sister at one point(they weirdly have the same bang style). In one of the early beta character relationship charts it appears that Aerith/Tifa were one character(the character looks more like Tifa but has the name closer to Aerith) with the "siblings" relationship to a very Vincent looking character, who would've been Sephiroth at that time in development.

AC voice acting were all on top notched. This new is also excellent I'm just quiet disppointed with Sephiroth's voice, Tyler have done it good but the old sephiroth voice was just unparalleled.

A freaking year. Combine that with seeing Zack die infront of him while he's slowly coming around, then Tifa finds him basically like a zombie at the train station, combined with the jenova cells inside him reacting to Tifa, Zack, and Cloud from everything... There was far, far more to it than "he was ashamed!" I swear you people do not give the story enough credit, nor do you see just how deep each character's backstories really are. The guy was a complete and utter mess. It took the entire game to pull him through it.

It's a wonderful story to say the least. Story of realigning ones personality. Struggles of everyday life ( in this world ). The conflict with his memories, wanting to silence the cause of it. The overarching story of resentment and acceptance of him being unable to help those around him. There's just so much. Last but not least two girls for one guy haha.

OKAY OKAY. I used to hate Aerith a lot because she is shipped with Cloud and I prefer Tifa more for Cloud but after so many years and the remake is finally released, I've came to realize how cute Aerith's personality is. She's the most sweetest and wholesome character in the game! This video made me realize that Cloud really has a thing for Aerith aaaaaand it made me see things in a different way like Tifa and Cloud could have like a "sibling" like relationship(still my main ship though). Something that's weird with people is that Cloud can have a romantic interest in both Tifa and Aerith. Both Tifa and Aerith are in love with Cloud and no, Aerith doesn't love him because of Zack. She admits in the Original. The best way to know this is Zack and Cloud have opposite personalities. Zack is cheerful and positively cocky whilst Cloud is quiet, brooding and tries to be cool. Aerith and Cloud have a completely different relationship. Aerith breaks his character and opens him up in no way anyone else does no matter how much he tries to hide and Tifa makes him be himself naturally just because he is comfortable with her. Both are unique relationships and there is no right one.
Totally agreed statement, its up to the player's choice; of who do you want to love and romance with. I think in Part 2 & 3, Square Enix will make multiple endings and choices for the player.
I understand now why Zack fans, well most want Zack to kill Aerith, they are worried Shinra might capture Aerith, and start the Aerith breeding program. It's a Shame Zack is not on that list his jizz is infected with J-cells.

After watching all of these moments together. I don’t see how anyone could possibly deny Cloud and Aerith anymore. All of these scenes are incredibly flirty, silly and romantic. They are perfect for each other. All of Clouds scenes with Tifa are just sad, depressing and awkward. Cloud is completely different with Aerith. Tifa always wants to rehash the past. Aerith is looking to the future. Pack it in boys. Cloud and Tifa is finished. Btw: I a former cloud and Tifa shipper.
Praise 🙌 I like Tifa but she is just not FUNNY! When she tries to be funny its awkward and always talkin bout the past and throwing herself on cloud. With aerith he is so much more open minded and funny (talking to the flowers etc) and they are bonding so incredebly fast 😍 Tifa is not even laughin when she sees cloud as a woman.

Aerith’s payment time Cloud to be her bodyguard was in exchange for a date, which Cloud didn’t turn down. (who would?) Cloud doesn’t need a reason to fight for Aerith. His reasons are clear motivated by something other than money. Also Tifa seemed quite content with leaving Aerith in the Shinra building. It was Cloud who decided to rescue her.

this game felt so dull when aerith had given herself to Shinra it was like a very important part of the game was missing, honestly i enjoyed her travelling along with me through the sector 5 slums and such, her personality is so amazing man, easily the best girl, crazy to say i've never been infatuated over a girl who's within a video game, just wow.
@@GOHST13ly exactly and although she is re-gained by cloud and the crew, it's just the vibe isn't exactly the same, at that point alot of stuff is going on and it's alot to take in, but regardless i hope the best for the future of this game and what's to come, i have faith in square enix that they can make a masterpiece out of this game and flesh out the story to be something entirely new and beautiful, it's never a bad idea to get creative and stray away from a narrative, it's all part of the creative process, i don't understand why people want it to be a carbon copy, it's not like this would exactly ruin the original final fantasy 7, it'll always be there, regardless, my point is, {spoiler ahead} i just hope that aerith survives a fate she is supposed to meet and she can live happily ever after with cloud, maybe they can then continue the story a little bit more before closing off that part of the story, who knows. i don't think it's impossible considering some of the members of avalanche who are actually alive at the end of the story, and the entire remake of the game focuses on changing destiny, hence them destroying the whisperers and that one final boss that controls fate and is supposed to make sure nothing gets in the way of how destiny is supposed to play out, so at this point they can really change the future if they want, it's all based off of human action rather than those whispers and sheer capability. i just hope that i'll be able to have this closure knowing that for once, there'll get to be a final good old classic happy ending in this video game, because i don't know why but for some time i just haven't saw that anymore, it seems like now either having a half-happy ending or a bad ending is just what's "unique" you know, as a character aerith doesn't deserve her death and i know that se can figure a way to expand off the original story to come up with a creative way to keep her alive, and honestly her and cloud are both the hearts of this story, final fantasy 7 has always been about cloud and aerith's tragic love story, and now i hope that's changed for the better and it becomes a love story that's changed for the better, because let's be honest, after all they went through the both of them deserve it, and if anyone disagrees, they always have the first final fantasy 7 to go back and play, time changes and nothing stays the same, "change" itself is not bad, so i don't know why people didn't see this remake or reimagination of the original game truly coming, I don't think SE could have done a better job, anyhow i'm very excited for part two and the other parts that are to come, which I hope they really don't try to just finish off the rest of the story and jumble it all together in the second part, I want them to take their time with the final parts, get creative and just put their hearts into it, give us the product most of have actually been waiting for, regardless it's a great game, the remake and i can't wait for more because i haven't had enough of this ff7r universe yet, it's a good escape from reality and it's an enjoyable game with an enjoyable story and once again i wish the best for cloud and aerith.
Just played this for the first time(never touched FF before) and I gotta say…I was leaning Tifa or jessie(love her VA, didn’t know she would die) but the “learn to talk to her” flower scene, high fives in the tunnel and her scooting over to cloud on playground sold me so hard on aerith. Shit was just too adorable. Y’all in these comment sections saying she’s gonna die or whatevs but I refuse to let that shit happen 😂😂
I have all the highest hopes up Cloud and Aerith end up together in the remake eventually, even if somehow alive or after death, anyhow just please together :(

something always bothered me about Tifa, her and Cloud lived in the same village and were present when there town burned down. When she found Cloud in Midgar several years later with this false persona and calling himself a SOLDIER and acting totally different. What strikes me as weird is that not once did she ever make a attempt to help him realize that this fake persona isn't him, she would know Cloud never became a SOLDIER as Zach was the person other SOLDIER with Sephiroth. She seen Cloud as a basic infantryman kill Sephiroth. The only time she even bothered to help him is when he was a glorified vegetable when in reality she could have helped him a lot sooner and saved him tons of pain and suffering, hell at times it even seems like she is using him even. Aerith instantly see's through Cloud's fake persona and know's Zach used to wield that sword but she doesn't seem to be bothered by that, she truly wanted to help Cloud through his pain he didn't know he was hiding.
Nah. A lot more people love Aerith more. Most of them are not in fandom. And those who are, they're just not that loud, esp in Western fanbase. She won #3 place in the NHK poll, one of the biggest and hardest to spam (let alone bot) poll in JP. SQEX actually tried plenty of times to make Tifa more likeable. Why do that when she's supposedly "liked" already?
I originally thought so too, but tifa really reveals how much she truly cares for people after the plates fall. Her empathy really shines in my opinion. I think she would make a great mom as well.

She is just so good at handling children. After all, she goes to the orphanage a lot too and the kids love her there. If Cloud and Aerith were to have kids, what a beautiful family it would be...
Well, with Zack now alive, he can end up with Tifa. Cloud and Aerith could end up together since Aerith helps pull Cloud out of his shell. Cloud on the other hand could help keep Aerith grounded. Zack has a more fiery personality that would likely be better complimented by Tifa's grounded personality.
Yes, i agree. Cloud and Tifa are not a good match, since they both are somewhat shy and pessimistic individuals, that in some situations lacks self esteem. They both need a positive person in their life that can push them forward and make them grow as persons. Aerith is perfect for Cloud - as Zack (or a Zack like person) would be perfect for Tifa.

What i love about Aerith is she doesn't let Cloud shut her out.
She denies all his attempts to push her away, all with a friendly smile.
I know her reasons are purely for her own sake (after seeing his sword), but she is trying to get to know him. (like she says on the date with her in the original)
Cloud's 'edgy'/'lone wolf' persona easily crumbles and he just does as she tells him, begrudgingly of course, but complies all the same.
It's a mirror to Tifa who doesn't confront Cloud about the doubts she has (his wrong and confused memories), because she doesn't want to cause Cloud any pain.
I just love both these girls, they're both so different.
Aerith is hilariously sassy and headstrong.

She’d probably thought “it’s better for the both of us, seeing that I might die in the future.”

Of course it could just be a common sword, so she doesn’t just simply ask him directly, (but that’s just my guess as to why).
I’m still unclear about the “future vision” stuff, so I have yet to guess what that could be. It’s sometimes hard to tell when Aerith is teasing or being serious sometimes (‘the don’t fall in love with me’ bit seems serious, but I can never REALLY tell)

In my opinion, Cloud fits WAY better with Aerith than Tifa. Aerith actually complements him, breaks him out of his shell. They are Yin/yang, the balance of the two opposites (like Squall/Rinoa and Tidus/Yuna). Tifa just feels too forced in a way, and she doesn't complement Cloud the same way Aerith does. Also I think there is way more romantic implications with Aerith, while with Tifa is more fanservice.

Barret leaves the post of leadership to Cloud now. Yeah Cloud is nice with other characters before, but his true character change started with Aerith.

That is why I said Cloud acts like his fake persona with Tifa and with Aerith he is his real self.

There was far, far more to it than "he was ashamed!" I swear you people do not give the story enough credit, nor do you see just how deep each character's backstories really are. It's a wonderful story to say the least. Story of realigning ones personality. Struggles of everyday life ( in this world ). The conflict with his memories, wanting to silence the cause of it. The overarching story of resentment and acceptance of him being unable to help those around him. There's just so much. Last but not least two girls for one guy haha.

OKAY OKAY. I used to hate Aerith a lot because she is shipped with Cloud and I prefer Tifa more for Cloud but after so many years and the remake is finally released, I've came to realize how cute Aerith's personality is. She's the most sweetest and wholesome character in the game! This video made me realize that Cloud really has a thing for Aerith aaaaaand it made me see things in a different way like Tifa and Cloud could have like a "sibling" like relationship(still my main ship though). I'm kind of mad at myself for not seeing things clearly(and i was so young before lmaO. i remember so much rants i did bcs i hate aerith so much lmAo). No matter who Cloud ends with, I'm happy.

Something that's weird with people is that Cloud can have a romantic interest in both Tifa and Aerith. Both Tifa and Aerith are in love with Cloud and no, Aerith doesn't love him because of Zack. She admits in the Original. The best way to know this is Zack and Cloud have opposite personalities. Zack is cheerful and positively cocky whilst Cloud is quiet, brooding and tries to be cool. Aerith and Cloud have a completely different relationship. Aerith breaks his character and opens him up in no way anyone else does no matter how much he tries to hide and Tifa makes him be himself naturally just because he is comfortable with her. Both are unique relationships and there is no right one.
Totally agreed statement, its up to the player's choice; of who do you want to love and romance with. I think in Part 2 & 3, Square Enix will make multiple endings and choices for the player.

This game does a great job of making you fall hopelessly in love with Aerith all over again before it inevitably kills her. I'm not talking about Cloud btw, I'm talking about me.

After watching all of these moments together. I don’t see how anyone could possibly deny Cloud and Aerith anymore. All of these scenes are incredibly flirty, silly and romantic. They are perfect for each other. All of Clouds scenes with Tifa are just sad, depressing and awkward. Cloud is completely different with Aerith. Tifa always wants to rehash the past. Aerith is looking to the future. Pack it in boys. Cloud and Tifa is finished. Btw: I a former cloud and Tifa shipper.

Aerith’s payment time Cloud to be her bodyguard was in exchange for a date, which Cloud didn’t turn down. (who would?) Cloud doesn’t need a reason to fight for Aerith. His reasons are clear motivated by something other than money. Also Tifa seemed quite content with leaving Aerith in the Shinra building. It was Cloud who decided to rescue her.

this game felt so dull when aerith had given herself to Shinra it was like a very important part of the game was missing, honestly i enjoyed her travelling along with me through the sector 5 slums and such, her personality is so amazing man, easily the best girl, crazy to say i've never been infatuated over a girl who's within a video game, just wow.
I 100% agree. After doing a 2nd play through, the moment we lose Aerith to Shinra the game got so meh and dull. She literally brings life to the game.

i just hope that aerith survives a fate she is supposed to meet and she can live happily ever after with cloud, maybe they can then continue the story a little bit more before closing off that part of the story, who knows. i don't think it's impossible considering some of the members of avalanche who are actually alive at the end of the story, and the entire remake of the game focuses on changing destiny, hence them destroying the whisperers and that one final boss that controls fate and is supposed to make sure nothing gets in the way of how destiny is supposed to play out, so at this point they can really change the future if they want, it's all based off of human action rather than those whispers and sheer capability. i just hope that i'll be able to have this closure knowing that for once, there'll get to be a final good old classic happy ending in this video game, because i don't know why but for some time i just haven't saw that anymore, it seems like now either having a half-happy ending or a bad ending is just what's "unique" you know, as a character aerith doesn't deserve her death and i know that se can figure a way to expand off the original story to come up with a creative way to keep her alive, and honestly her and cloud are both the hearts of this story, final fantasy 7 has always been about cloud and aerith's tragic love story, and now i hope that's changed for the better and it becomes a love story that's changed for the better, because let's be honest, after all they went through the both of them deserve it, and if anyone disagrees, they always have the first final fantasy 7 to go back and play, time changes and nothing stays the same, "change" itself is not bad, so i don't know why people didn't see this remake or reimagination of the original game truly coming, I don't think SE could have done a better job, anyhow i'm very excited for part two and the other parts that are to come, which I hope they really don't try to just finish off the rest of the story and jumble it all together in the second part, I want them to take their time with the final parts, get creative and just put their hearts into it, give us the product most of have actually been waiting for, regardless it's a great game, the remake and i can't wait for more because i haven't had enough of this ff7r universe yet, it's a good escape from reality and it's an enjoyable game with an enjoyable story and once again i wish the best for cloud and aerith.
Just played this for the first time(never touched FF before) and I gotta say…I was leaning Tifa or jessie(love her VA, didn’t know she would die) but the “learn to talk to her” flower scene, high fives in the tunnel and her scooting over to cloud on playground sold me so hard on aerith. Shit was just too adorable. Y’all in these comment sections saying she’s gonna die or whatevs but I refuse to let that shit happen 😂😂

something always bothered me about Tifa, her and Cloud lived in the same village and were present when there town burned down. When she found Cloud in Midgar several years later with this false persona and calling himself a SOLDIER and acting totally different. What strikes me as weird is that not once did she ever make a attempt to help him realize that this fake persona isn't him, she would know Cloud never became a SOLDIER as Zach was the person other SOLDIER with Sephiroth. She seen Cloud as a basic infantryman kill Sephiroth. The only time she even bothered to help him is when he was a glorified vegetable when in reality she could have helped him a lot sooner and saved him tons of pain and suffering, hell at times it even seems like she is using him even. Aerith instantly see's through Cloud's fake persona and know's Zach used to wield that sword but she doesn't seem to be bothered by that, she truly wanted to help Cloud through his pain he didn't know he was hiding.

I originally thought so too, but tifa really reveals how much she truly cares for people after the plates fall. Her empathy really shines in my opinion. I think she would make a great mom as well.
@@frankgomez6050 What convinced me was how Tifa handled telling Marlene Barret wasn't coming home compared to how Aerith handled Marlene when the plate was about to fall. She is just so good at handling children. After all, she goes to the orphanage a lot too and the kids love her there.

Well, with Zack now alive, he can end up with Tifa. Cloud and Aerith could end up together since Aerith helps pull Cloud out of his shell. Cloud on the other hand could help keep Aerith grounded. Zack has a more fiery personality that would likely be better complimented by Tifa's grounded personality.
Yes, i agree. Cloud and Tifa are not a good match, since they both are somewhat shy and pessimistic individuals, that in some situations lacks self esteem. They both need a positive person in their life that can push them forward and make them grow as persons.
Aerith is perfect for Cloud - as Zack (or a Zack like person) would be perfect for Tifa.
