I'd sure love to know how much this truck went for.

Yeah my Dads was like that but he had 3 on the tree and his step bumper was argent front Chrome 8’ bed and I saw the original bill of sale he bought it brand new spring of 65 I was born in august his was To tone dark Navajo beige / light Navajo beige it was the small V 8 he had the wind shield that had blue hue at the top he had deluxe door panels and ordered the high output heater AM radio and dual mirrors two Sun visors and a Rubber floor his was a Custom Cab he bought it at Elmwood Ford 1833 n Harlem Ave Chicago Illinois he had a guy put dual exhaust on right after he bought it and dual chrome Spotlights he was still on the Police department but right around the time I was born he got a Teamsters truck driving job more pay and in those days a pickup truck in Illinois with a open cargo bay or bed was considered a commercial vehicle and you were required to have your name on each side and your domicile / garage location and if you lived in Chicago Cook County or the surrounding suburbs you had to keep a Truck garaged or I’m a locked construction yard because you would get a parking ticket on the street and yes in your own driveway and you had to have your Payload capacity and estimated weight painted on the lower sides of your bed thank goodness by 1981 Illinois got away from that on half ton pickups as long as you were not a contractor or hauling commerce for hire he also had a custom leather tonneau cover with pearl snaps and 3 bows to support it but the one in the middle was arched up gave the look of hauling something just for looks the police were always stopping him inquiring as to what was under there so he would show them then we would be on our way again LOL
