Great exercises. For me, all I need is Full body stretching. Squats(normal and with weights) Deadlifts, heavy and light. Jogging, running. Jumping, touching the rim(always aim above the rim or set the rim to 10ft 6inches or 11ft.
My man, I used to be a professional basketball player in Europe. I’m 1,68cm and could dunk. Here’s a couple of tips. Stretch as much as possible. Jump over some bags you can pile up to achieve your goal. Squat. And what I did, i ran all day with sandbags around my ankles. Well, not really bags, but there are kind of rings filled with sand you can put around your ankle. There are different weights. I wore them all day in every outfit. Walk around with them for 2 weeks l, rest 2 days and do it all over again. I can assure you, you will be surprised with the result. Keep it up!
I was gifted with a great vertical jump. I would always try to touch walls and then go beyond that. My vertical was always increasing every year through middle school. When I was a 14 year old freshman, I dunked a flat basketball at 5’7. My vert progressed to where I could dunk two hands with a real ball at 5’9 at 16. I thought my vertical would keep increasing as it always did and I always Envisioned myself doing a windmill/360/etc my senior year. Well, I relied too much on my natural ability and my vertical peaked. Although I still had a great vert, I was never satisfied and foolishly thought it would just magically increase. It took me 10 years to realize that I must push my body beyond its natural limit. I have been going strong the past 6 months and have caught up to where I was. I will keep going until my body doesn’t let me.
I’m 6ft flat and 16 years old. I can grab on 9ft 6in rim. Recently just started weight lifting and explosive training. Will add this to my routine. I’m gonna attempt to update this as I go :D
I used to feel that way to I am 6,2 and my friend is 5,9 he dunk before me and I was like oh heck no so I finally started dunking off of hard work but now I’m struggling to find a good strengthening workout without hurting my knees.
I did my first one of these workouts yesterday, and I’ve built a workout routine and ill begin next week. I’ll come back in a month or so with results if I go through with it!
Definitely a good workout for legs, (I’m a little late) I’ve also done some running but I also stopped a month or so ago doing this, however it’s very effective and in total i probably gained a good 7 or so inches after a couple months. I definitely recommend also working on your core and overall body as jumping is a compound movement. Definitely gonna start doing this workout again, but also work on my core and run some.
Great video. Remeber that the plyos are based of no weights. After that, the squat you should be more consistent in explosion because is about acceleracion and force, no muscle grouth. Anyways, great video!

Great vid I will definitely have to use some of these exercises in the jumping routine. Would recommend doing the static stretching or foam rolling after because it can interfere with or numb the muscle jump reflexes before jumping.
Since, plyometrics are intense workouts (usually requiring high amounts of force on your body), I recommend doing them once a week or break them apart into two days where you're also incorporating strength workouts.
