- Josie is diagnosed with Antley-Bixler syndrome, one of the rarest disorders in the world. She also loves playing peek-a-boo, swinging, and dancing with her siblings. Josie's family wants others to know that she may look different, but she is still a typical toddler in many ways.

I love how the mom just waited for the oldest sister's entire testimony about how much she loves her sister, BEFORE correcting her about Josie not having down syndrome. Instead of interrupting her. A+++++ family!

Yes, testimony. It means her rendition of events or how she feels.
They use it in legal proceedings a lot, so I can see how maybe someone might think it means things slightly different to its more general context.
Essentially though, she was giving her own recounting of how she feels and sees things to someone else. :)
@@ElysetheEevee That's also what they call it in a lot of churches (the ones who don't pre-print a schedule of the service, that is) when you're sharing how you survived certain events, or were blessed as well.
@@Wheezersmom02 In church your testimony is basically your story of how you came to know the Lord and decided to follow him. It could involve certain things you've survived or how you've been blessed but it's really about your personal story of choosing to follow the Lord, how your life was before hand and how your life has changed since.❤ Lots of churches do this. I've shared my testimony multiple times, often in small groups but also in front of the whole church when I was baptized.😊

I love how he recognized that Charlotte was needing a bit more attention, and he included her and praised her in the video. Kids who are fighting for attention are often the ones people get annoyed by (so they give them even less attention). Charlotte would’ve been tiny when Josie was born, and I can imagine that Josie’s condition, doctor’s appointments, hospitalizations, surgeries, etc., caused a LOT of attention to be diverted away from Charlotte at a critical time in her young life. Chris likely realized this immediately, since he’s amazing at reading people - especially kids.

I recognized videos of myself as a kid in this SO MUCH. I was 5 when my little sister came along and even though I was psyched about having a little sister, the one thing that really bothered me was when they put the camera on her as a baby because I was like, check out all the cool stuff IM doing, lol. I feel for her, it must be compounded when one sibling requires a bit more attention, whatever reason that may be, plus being a middle kid of 4 is a lot! But their mom seemed super awesome, loving, and very attentive/in tune with what her daughter was feeling.

As someone who has lived with a neurological condition all his life (namely Hydrocephalus,) it really comforts me to see all these amazing stories on this channel.
While no one featured has had the same thing I do; hearing their stories, seeing them get along well with the interviewer and simply smile at the camera really shows that people like me aren't alone in this world

I'm curious what condition you're talking about if you don't mind me asking. Because I could have sworn that there's been videos on people with Hydrocephalus before and when I checked by searching on the channel page, there have been four different people featured already. Though nothing wrong with more being interviewed of course.
Wow!!! The mom has her hands full with all 4 young kids. They are so adorable, all of them. Charlotte yelling out that she loves everyone and pointing to Chris and telling him that she loves him because he has teeth, and her video games, lol. Josie's smile is just so contagious. Gus is too cute being goofy for his sister so she can laugh. Penelope is such a great big sister, you can tell she loves her sister so much and wants to just make Josie happy and laughing.

Charlotte is a NUT! But, then again, you didn't get to meet Dad. LOL. They are a wonderful family. I would add, it is amazing to watch Anna and Nathan. In situations like this, it is easy for the other kids to get lost in the mix. Josie does require a lot of time. But they don't I watch as every kid that comes to Mom or Dad gets the attention they need as if what they have going on is the most important thing EVER! There is an incredible balance that is palpable.
I have 4 girls. I think her son helps balance her out. I know I'm up the wall on 15 acres and farmlife while hubby works. Prayers for this sweet family. God give them all peace in these times and Joy continuously through YOUR HOLY SPIRIT JESUS amen

Chris is what many of us want to be, but he just is. I don't know if he was always like this or if something in his life opened up his heart mind and soul but what ever it was it created a higher form of human that we don't see much these days. Can I just say Chris u are such a wonderful person. I wish more ppl were like u. U can see how much joy these videos bring to u. My daughter watches as well and she has taken ur kindness and shows it to others. She has a best friend with Autism and downs syndrome and she will stand up for them no matter what. She also has been volunteering to read to kids at the library. I just wanted to say u are truly an inspiration to everyone who watches.

Every single person in this family is so charming and so smart, I could watch endless videos of them all interacting with each other. Of course, I hardly expect them to make a daily vlog or anything like that, because they have lives to live away from the camera, but what a privilege to be included in their world for just a few minutes.
