What would help a lot would be legislation that doesn't ban the collection of metadata (used to maintain the health of the app), but does ban any company from selling or giving away collected metadata to any other party.

*"people make fun of you until they need you"*
This. And I'm going to quote you on that!
Intentional ignorance is bliss, until it isn't.

I use as little browser extensions as possible, just because an extension you use may have no exploit fingerprint/entry, the possibility exist, we have seen this many times, so the fewer the better, and no, the creator of the extension may not be at fault. It is just a general rule of thumb, also note that some extension may cancel out other extensions, protection software is a good example.
Any rate, meta data, take for example the meta data obtained from a image you capture with your say phone... the amount of meta data social media like Meta's FB uses gives a WHOLE new meaning to overuse (paranoia pretty much and if that is leaked.... resulting from whatever)
Lastly, if people make fun of you, let them, if what you say is fair, meaningful and more likely than not (we talking about security and sometimes you have anticipate for the benefit of people), there will always be those who make fun of someone, show disrespect and many times that may be their sole intent (I often think I see for example comments who say the most disrespectful things how courts adjudicate, and how they will consider such). Thanks for the information. It is helpful and presented in a way most can understand.

I do not care about privacy, fight is ended. We lived like that in past, when every neighbor knew about you everything, and we will go back, everybody will know everything about everybody. Resistance is futile XD

I see your point, but privacy is not "all or nothing" like that.
let's not make perfect the enemy of good 💖

Until someone steals your identity, causing you a lot of hassle to revert the damage. Neighbours knowing you and a stranger impersonating you to take loans in your name are two different things. And there is social engineering, psychological profiling, and each one of us have a weak moment, caught off guard, being vulnerable. You really don't want to share about yourself more than is necessary.
