Trust me Nate, you and your wife will love Japan as tourists. Know before you go about prescriptions, etc, because some medicines here are illegal there. Go in March or October; cherry blossoms or Autumn. Summer is hell, winter is boring, and can be chilly.

5:30 I installed the FUTO keyboard on my CalyxOS phone and when I went to go turn off internet access for it in the Calyx firewall, the toggle was already disabled and grayed out because the app doesn't request internet/network access in the first place.

See where I am from, to use a simple example our version of the [EU] GDPR is very similar (also approved 5 years in advance of the EU GDPR but officiated/enshrined into law 30 June 2021 (POPI Act) which is have heavy focus on privacy in terms of Children. Regardless, we might as well not exist, something I have realized. Ironically we banned Starlink, it ironic because Musk is also from this non-existent country I speak of... I have four degrees, two of which I completed my my Masters in Europe (Limburg University), I am 42 now so this was back some ~15+ years ago, Computing, Robotics [Analytics], Behavioral Science and Philosophy (just a BA), Sweden is a great option, though some of my colleagues over there have mentioned a few months ago some concerns about more and more places over there no longer accept cash (I do not know how true this is since we talk less frequent [personal matters on his end] BUT whether still the case or not Sweden have a great deal of companies (such as ABB with an international footprint print) one of many and perhaps of all Nordic countries the most in terms of this. The business side of Sweden is very different opposed to the social side, which I found unique, I do not know if this is still the case, Germany is not bad but very different from Sweden, some do not like for example The Netherlands (but having been there I do not agree), Denmark, in many ways open, friendly, but again, all different... lastly Australia and NZ, similar but not the same. To be fair, the USA is massive, you guys have most everything, but I the MidWest (southern / eastern regions) so very different opposed to the Pacific, yes I have been around of a while, but yeah the western world is so different post 2020... any rate, just my take my experience over time, my comments are never demographic in nature but the question had me thinking back,

    I recommend *Mexico.*
It's close, great climate, amazingly good treatment to foreigners and everything is cheap and there are a lot of places to choose from (from beaches to snob cities).

Equating countries and companies... yeah, pretty much. It's all about the profits and shareholders in some places, no longer about serving the people.

If I were to choose another country (I'm Canadian), it would be either Norway or New Zealand if either would have me. But Finland... I dunno, tempting. If I had my druthers I'd be born 125 years ago and be done with all this.

0:49 Although I completely understand what you mean, I find it funny when you say that you don't want to get political. Privacy has become a political issue. When you talk about it, when you advocate for it, you are being political, whether you like it or not. But yes, I understand, what you meant. There are so many online forums that band discussing politics, which again, is completely fair, but what they don't realize is that they talk about politics all the time, even if they don't realize it.

politics should be the least thing your worried about, at least here in the states.
Though I wish you would've elaborated more, or just never brought it up. As I can't see this show as some politically neutral show anymore. Which is a shame, loved it, and was a former supporter.
    At least until this dropped.
Oh well, guess everything has its end.
