Change Display Resolution Windows 11 [Tutorial]
If you need to change the display resolution setting on your Windows 11 PC, it's not hard once you know how. Whether you want to try a sharper resolution on a laptop that defaults to a lower option or need to change it back to the recommended size from a less-than-stellar option, we've got your back.
Monitor resolution is often automatic and adjusts to fit the screen, but it can default to the wrong view. Another common scenario involves accidentally changing the resolution while working on the settings. When adjusting display settings, it’s possible to change the monitor’s resolution to a point that the screen turns off and you can’t see what you’re doing. In these instances, you can use Windows' built-in recovery modes to get your system up and running in the default settings.
Is your Windows 11 computer’s screen looking a bit wonky? Did you plug in a new monitor that isn’t working as intended? You might need to adjust your screen resolution. Here’s how.
To get started, click on the “Windows” button located in the bottom left of your desktop. If the taskbar has been moved, the button might be found on one of the other edges of the display.
