What monitors are you looking at this Black Friday? Let me know!
Hey bro, this didn’t work for me, i use an intel card and my pc has only a vga port.
Same, didnt work for me either. I can see the second monitor box, but it wont let me check it.
@@stevenlogue794 did you fix it? I cant check the second box either
I’m legit about to kill NVDIA Giving me so many problems since I got it then actually helping smh, since I’m not familiar with pc it’s been more of a problem then helpful tbh, but thanks for the video it did help
For me none of this worked, my graphics driver was updated already, I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, performing a roll back of the Nvidia driver to a previous stable version. Stopped and started the Nvidia processes in the services app, tried all the hacks I possibly could in the display settings section, none worked. I remembered that recently I had turned the "Intel Virtual Technology" feature ON from the BIOS settings for a software I wanted to use, so I turned it back OFF, and my second monitor immediately came back on. That was it. For any other folks who might have the same problem.
How did you do it? I tried switching it off from the BIOS but I couldn't find it! 😕
@@gianlucaoliveri5477Hold the shift key while restarting the device from the windows tab, and it will take you to a blue screen titled ‘Choose an option’, click troubleshoot, advanced options, then click on UEFI firmware settings and click the restart button. After the computer restarts, it should take you there
@@codecleanserwhat does this do?
I had my crg9 49 inch working fine on surface pro 8 I moved to an all in one pc hp with 4k and I get a monitor undetected I tried using wireless display adapter vs hdmi and it works but lacks 4k recognition so I get a middle picture but unable to get full extend screen any ideas
Thank u my brother I own u
I tried everything all day and find your comment ty brotherrrr❤❤❤
For those who can’t select their second monitor in nvidia, I fixed that issue by going into my settings-Bluetooth & devices-devices, and deleted my second monitor from my devices. I then went back to my display setting and hit detect which actually detected my monitor, and finally I was able to select the monitor in nvidia.
no way it was just as simple as one not being checked! thank you so much it was so frustrating
for those having issues "detecting" their 2nd montior AND are using the hdmi port from their mother board on the 2nd monitor: Check to see if your CPU supports integrated graphics, if so load up your BIOS boot window. I use an AMD GPU with an intel CPU and i went up to the "search" feature and typed in "Display" or "Monitor" to show an option to enable multple display setting. After I did that I could finally detect my 2nd monitor and begin the process of setting it up.
Hope it helps since it took me like 1 hr to figure this out and thank you for the video
im stupid can you make this simpler

i guess there is no answer for it
Thank you so much. I was searching for solution for hours and I was so frustrated and nearly bought a new monitor. Your video was my last hope and it fixed my problem.
For everyone that lost their 2nd monitor after a windows update, update your drivers and restart your pc, it worked for me after unplugging my 2nd monitor, plugging it back and restarting my pc
What drivers?
What drivers. This happened to my work laptop so I’m limited to what I can do
The second display isn’t showing up in the NVIDIA panel😢
have you found a gix?
oh my god i just left a bad review on amazon thinking it was the cable's fault and I've been stuck here for an hr trying to fix it thank you so much
WOW I was stressing thinking I had tro buy a bunch of new stuff, such an easy fix for a scary problem. Thank you man helped so much!
Try unplugging and re-plugging the HDMI cables and the power cables, apparently I bumped the power cable while vacuuming and it caused my issue
Thank you so much. I cant belive it was so simple... now i have to return 3 adapters and 2 new cables
I was experiencing with overclocking with my BRAND NEW system (it was my first pc build), and I put too much power to the gpu and my pc completly turned off and my main monitor wouldnt display. Thank you for the help, this was the only totourial that worked 🙏
My windows display was why I was having this issue. My Nviaida setting were solid and I was hella confused. The first step you did worked. Thanks!
Great tip. I've been providing It services for years. I've seen this once. It's not a common issue, but it's good to be reminded from time to time on how to resolve issues like this. Keep up the great videos. Now I'm a subscriber!
i spent a total of 4 years tryna get 2 monitors hooked up, trying all diff cords and adapters, this INSTANTLY fixed it LOL im so sad, tysm tho!
I can't believe it. A very straightforward tutorial. Fixed everything.
Thank you so so much. I tried everything, thought it was a hardware issue. Computer company couldn’t even tell me what was going on. Thanks!!!
Dude this fixed an issue I had had for months. Finally gave up, but glad I found this video on a whim!
ive connected 2 monitors to one pc using 2 different hdmi ports in the pc. However my pc wont detect one of the hdmi ports so i cant connect 2 monitors. How do i fix this

Thank you! Your video helped me set up a second ASUS monitor on my laptop.
Bro, I went out and bought a second monitor thinking it was the problem! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Can you do an amd tutorial
Same
Had the issue of connecting two monitors via hdmi to graphics card and it only detected one. This foxed it for me, thanks!
what a legend! i had a similar issue, but instead of NVIDIA panel, i had to install Intel Command Center and enable the external screen there. all my issues happened after enabling HDR by mistake. lost 4 hours until i saw this video!
what did you tell control panel to get it to work
man i spent so long trying to fix this and this comment was exactly it weird that enabling her causes that
i spent 2 hs plugging and unplugging cables, i was getting so frustrated and you saved my life. Thank you man!!
Thank you very much, with 5 seconds of tutorial I managed to solve my problem!!
For some reason I can’t check the box for my multiple displays. The box for both are there but I can’t check the box :/

At 2:40, I can't click on the second screen. One of them is already selected, but the second one, even though it appears with a blank box and looks like it can be selected, I click on it and nothing happens. Help.
Have you been able to fix it? I have exactly this issue.
Me too
ive been dealing with this issue for a week i gave up and just ran one moniter thank u so much
GREAT AND THANKS FOR THE VIDEO. One small problem is it didn't work for me. Was loving it until it came to ticking the box of laptop monitor (Monitor #1), cannot tick box. empty box...cant tick!!!Please this is something I gotta finally solve its bugged me for too long.
Thank you so much... only other videos I saw were just changing in the display settings appreciate it
Hi, Great fix. Thanks for your effort. However i have AMD Radeon card and didnt find the extra monitor listed in AMD Radeon card settings. If possible a solution will be great. Thanks
Did you find out a solution. I have the same issue
@@myst_torsten8443ig there wasn’t a solution cuz I’m in the same problem
Me too!
this fixed my problem. would have never guessed. thank you.
intro is a bit too long imo
thank you so much, the EXACT same thing happened and i kinda freaked out, and thought of buiyng a new cable, but saw ur video and it worked, i even thought my GPU broke, thank you, you just saved me some money
I had issues with my 2nd monitor as well, had to unplug the power and plug it again, worked when I did that.
I just got a second monitor and, like this video says, both monitors appear in the Display Settings menu, but only one, my primary, works. But I don't have NVIDIA at all. I use AMD. I have an AMD Radeon RX580 graphics card. I have AMD Software Adrenalin Edition and also AMD Software PRO Edition. For PRO, it's Enterprise 22. For Adrenalin Edition, it's Adrenalin 23.
So, in my case, what do I do?
Thanks a lot!!!!! Your video was a savior! I was troubleshooting since a few days and nothing helped (checked connections, updated drivers etc) , UNTIL I TRIED YOUR RECOMMENDATION!! Thanks a lot for taking out time to share about checking NVIDIA settings! None of the google searches mentioned looking into that, but that’s what helped me in my case!
Thanks so much perfect explaination
i click the check button on the window in nvidia control panel and it just wont check for some reason
fixed it, unplugged the plug from the monitor and restarted my display drivers by hitting the Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B and then replugged my monitor and then restarted my display drivers again. Hopefully this works for some people as well
@@dustin404 i love you i hope you have the best rest of your life you are for real the best person ever, no other person said how to trubbelshoot the issue and i love you for it
I can't get my third monitor to display. switched the 15-pin cable and it's the opposite? what am I doing wrong?
Thank you so much I unplugged my tv from my pc and my second monitor just suddenly stopped working even though it was working fine. Such a simple solution thank you! saved hours of time
Thanks for the info. This issue was driving me mad for weeks. i could not find any solution out there. thnks
I went through hours of completely random solutions with bo real logic and this fixed it in minutes bro bless
its unchecked on my pc but i cant check it. like it wont make me enable that
did u get solved?
mine is already checked. The MSI monitor just turns on, says "fuck it, no signal" and turns off again. already tried other cables and inputs, tested my pc with other monitors...
This is my problem:
I have a new monitor, a Asus Tuf gaming 27". This monitor works fine with several laptops, desktops and games consoles.
I also have an older Asus laptop with dual gpu's. I can connect it via hdmi to several different monitors, both old and brand new, and it works fine.
But here comes the problem: this old asus laptop does not work with my new asus monitor, as if they're not compatible with each other. I dont get it.
What could be the problem?
There is no fault in the cables or drivers or gpu's, as far as I know, since both the new monitor and the old laptop works fine in several different set ups, just not together.
I have this problem where both NVIDIA control panel and display settings only detects the second monitor but shows a duplicate screen on both monitors. I think it could be due to the fact that I have an HDMI splitter and my pc only has one HDMI port.
Did you fix it
did u find a way to fix it bro ive been struggling with the same exact thing and i need a solution asap bruh
An HDMI splitter will send the same video signal to both monitors. Therefore, you will not be able to extend the displays using an HDMI splitter, if that is what you are attempting to do.
Hi @lapfix! I see the option, but for some reason, it is not letting me check (click on) the box for the second monitor. Is anyone else running into this issue? How can I troubleshoot this? I've tried restarting my PC and unplugging and replugging already
same problem , did u find a fix?
u find a fix I'm having same issue
Update on this how did you fix? same issue
Edit:
Finally I was able to fix this problem
Just :
1. uninstall the Nvidia Drivers in Control panel - Uninstall program - uninstall all related driver to NVidia
2. and also un install the Nvidia Control panel
3. Finally restart the PC.
4. Fixed, hopefully I was able to help
Thanks it worked. so what was the problem tho? why did my monitor stopped working?
Unfortunately this didn't help I'm going to call my IT because mines keeps saying 1/3 and can't find the other monitors
I just bought a new HP laptop and per the MS support, if I'm trying to use a display splitter extend display to more than one external monitor, you won't be able to. The splitter is duplicating the same original signal instead of creating two independent signals. My laptop only has one video output port, which by default only supports a single external monitor. I need to support one more monitor by using the splitter, but again it won't work :-(. I also bought a new splitter, again didn't work. Do you suggest I need an USB to video output splitter? This is extremely frustrating. Thanks in advance!
Fixed my third screen problem! Thanks dude!!
Here in 2024 this Still Works Confirmed ✅ thanks you
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have had this probelm for almost a year and not even the geek squad/tech support could help me. I really apreicate this.

Hello, thank you for sharing. i got to the point when i have to check the box for my 2d monitor but it wont let me activate the box... I clic over it and it does not check... help please
Thankyou brother, i looked almost every where for this solution,,, Cheers
@lapfix it is not letting me check the other monitor under the NVIDIA Control panel, all I can do is highlight it.
Thank you for this, took me an hour and I couldn't figure it out
It was mt Nvidia driver, this got me to a roundabout way, THANK YOU!!!!
Also try win control shift b if you have a blank one after powering off. Win 11
Thank you so much! That was our Problem and we could not find it.
Thanks man this really helped me out i thought i had to buy a new screen
No problem 👍
the tutorial was useless for me cuz i had a AMD gpu, but he gave me the path and after a 30 minutes of random clicking on my amd software, i got it back
I hope u can reply to this but its not showing my second monitor in nvidia control panel but it shows up in windows
same think here
my monitor is pitch black and it doesnt even show my cursor when i point it at my second monitor, does anyone know how to fix this?
Thank you man I thought my pc is broken or something
Dude thanks so much for this video!! This was driving me insane
You've saved me trouble. I greatly appreciate you!
Thank you. My 3rd monitor stopped displaying after I downloaded a nvida driver for some reason. But I followed your instructions and saw the same thing that the lost monitor was unchecked. I wonder why Ithat happened because I had all 3 monitors before doing download .. Thank you for saving fee from geek squad
Was hoping this would solve mine but didnt. I used dual monitors for about a week and the second stopped working. Fought for months trying to fix it and decided to factory reset and return the pc. After factory restore it started working again, for again one week then stopped again. It is obviously an incompatible driver or update somewhere but I cant figure it out.
I have a question, how do I do it with an RX 6650, since the same thing happens, but they don't have the same Software
holy crap thanks man, took me weeks to figure this out
Hi, What can i do if i cannot or the windows doesn't let me to put the tick in the box. I can see the box it is empty but doesn't hapoen anything when i try to click there. Any idea?
did you fix it? I have the same issue
Have you tried the following?
1. Download the latest video card drivers for your video card.
2. Uninstall the current video card drivers.
3. Restart the system.
4. Install the latest video card drivers, performing a clean install (sometimes called a factory reset) of these drivers.
I’m having this problem on a AMD card. Any ideas?
Gonna give it a try when I get home , I’ll come back and drop another comment if it works for me .🙏
this didn’t work at first but then I took out the power of my monitor waited a little and then reconnected went back to my nvidia settings and it worked
Thank you for the help big time savior!!! I have a Raedeon control panel and it enabled Monitor Cloning with was making me go insane. Again thank you for the help!!!!!!!!
Bro please tell me how to fix this because I also have AMD Radeon graphics
THANK YOU!! I was going crazy trying to figure this out.
