Can’t change display resolution in Windows 11? Here’s what to do!
This video will show you how to do it!
You are here at this point - trying to change your resolution on your new monitor. And you can't seem to do it because something is wrong - it's either the drivers that are not updated, or Windows, or there are some errors you can't seem to find. Don't worry - try these solutions!

He man what method specifically did you use. I was playing Fh5 and tried to take a picture and it stretched my screen off and now it even turns off every once in a while.
Wow my solution ended up being the first one. I uninstalled the driver and it instantly went to 4K so damn weird lol thanks man just got a new PC and monitor that I can now enjoy

didn't work, i'm running win 11 under qemu on arch. how do i force it to run at a specific resolution and color depth? is there an argument i can pass to qemu? would have to work with VNC

Is there any other fixes to try? None of these worked for me sadly.
The one solution I recommend, in case this is super problematic - make sure your Windows 11 is always tidy - maybe you have a really big problem with your drivers. In that case perform a clean reinstall of your Windows 11. It takes maximum 30 minutes, and you can choose to keep all your files.

None of this worked for me. I don't know what else to do. It's not a hardware issue because I had this laptop when it was new and it was definitely 1920x1080p. I don't understand what else it could be.
You have to try to update your graphics card. Google Nvidia Driver or Amd Driver depending on what you have on your PC.
Windows 11 is the most garbage software id ever used
I agree. I liked XP and everything since is simply worse. Now I feel like I’m using a console except I need a tutorial to do anything because the advanced options are hidden

I have updated my driver's for my AMD Radeon 5700 xt Sapphire nitro and still can't go back to my 4k resolution. I fucking hate windows 11 it's trash, and the people at Microsoft constantly fuck up our pcs with these new OS, and updates
