How have you never heard of the CG125? It was used by training schools up and down the country for years and years as the 125 of choice, eventually being replaced in the UK at least by the CBF125. They've been made since 1976 and are still in production and on sale brand new in some parts of the world.
Tierd license systems have an interesting effect on price. Here in Canada, so long as your willing to deal with carbs you can find some screaming deals. I paid 2k for a clean Vmax. Just needed fork work and clutch hydraulics fixed up.
I own a 05 Yamaha FZ6 Fazer it has a detuned R6 engine in it. I have done nearly 30k in 2 years and it's never missed a beat. I just service it regularly which I do myself.
I will stick to my two stroke 125 I prefer them, though I have ridden a de restricted 125, the power difference between that and a ninja 300 would be similar, thankyou for making my mind up for me! I will skip the 250 to 500s full test here we come, thankyou
I went for an £1800 tdm. More than happy with my choice, plenty torque for crushing motorways, I check in on its MOT history sometimes, its still going with a valid MOT at 90,000 miles and I'm not surprised at all. Incredible value for money and practical.
My first bike. I rode it everywhere. Even did a couple of 200 mile round trips. It could reach a whopping 68mph with my head on the tank and the throttle pinned going downhill
@jethrobradley7850 mine too! But I've only been riding a year it's a 2011 gn125H. Still sold in New Zealand mainly as farm bikes but I'm doing the ol Cafe racer build!
If you are broke and could buy a motorcycle you aint broke. When i sold my Blackbird for a Hayabusa the buyer could give me the money cash but he couldnt afford to ride it legal when the insurance for younger riders was just HORRIBLE and then he needed some gear for further safety. By the way, 125cc are tuned mopeds and not real motorcycles and you find out when you are trying to overtake other traffic. 😄

Passed my test on a hired CG125 back in 1984. It's probably still going strong somewhere out there . . . 😀
Had a Fazer 600 with over 50,000 miles on the clock and it ran perfectly. Great bikes for not much money at all.

Very nice, same here!
Fz6 are great bikes. They are cheap but feel premium and are really reliable and fun to ride

If you have to factor in low emissions zones the options are much more limited. 2008 is a starting point to be compliant.
No "grandfather" clause ?

There's been alot of bike theft in Ireland, best to make sure its not stolen
if you're broke enough to not be able to afford a good bike, you aint gonna have a garage to get good insurance you can afford lol
Honda stunner what a plesant bike man!
Suzuki GN125!!!

@@DayChurRa Nice one. I didn't know they were still being sold.
👍
Hawk 250
A 125 is barely okay for a city,
Speed limit in most of London is 20 mph. A 50cc scooter would be fine. Or a dodgy 750watt outlaw ebike. 125 Xmax or Forza is overkill.
@@jannneumann5766 It might be OK for London, but in NY you are just asking to become a speed bump.
That zx9r is one of the ugliest bikes I've ever seen in my life🤣
Said the guy with a Ural in the garage. 😄
@@fonziebulldog5786 No, a highly customized dr650 and a honda fury 1300. I have fantastic taste in motorcycles.
@@fonziebulldog5786 BTW I'd never seen the Ural. I want one.
