I own a 2022 cb125f. I own it amongst other bikes but still I enjoy riding it as it relaxes me and it is engaging. Great as a daily cheap run about. But still has a more grown up feel about it when comparing it to all other Honda 125cc bikes. Much cheaper too. I like how it’s understated in that regard. I put petrol on and I don’t get people staring nor asking questions. It’s comfortable and ridiculous cheap on petrol. I wouldn’t take it near motorways, it’s just not designed for it. 50 miles an hour or 80km/h is where the bike holds it own. Keep up with traffic no problems. My favourite thing is how simply everything is on the bike. Love the centre stand and gear indicator for a bike at this price point. The weight and skinny tires make for a different experience to my other bikes. To me it’s an absolute keeper as it has a very clear purpose. I will admit I purchased it originally as I was intrigued by the hype of this little thing. Thinking I’d sell it straight away if I wasn’t excited to ride it.
Hi guys. I’m driving CB125F 2022 , my own average mileage with a full tank is 480 miles and when I’m at the petrol station I have to say that into the tank it has a bit more petrol which is mean with a full tank the average mileage for me is 500 miles. Thanks.
Great video with lots of sensible information for anyone looking to either start off in biking or some like me looking for a run around just downsizing for a fun riding experience. Thank you for your video. 😊
Good reviews there. I’ve had 74 mph out of my YBR on a flat dual carriageway. Mind you my chin was on the petrol tank at the time. If I’d had my choice again I think I would have gone for one of the Hondas.
Worth checking the wheels for run out,or chips,as yoots like to crash them up kerbs, also whichever one you buy, always but always secure it with a disc lock, and a decent chain and padlock every time you park it,the Adidas wearing hooded creatures from the local chav estate will pinch it, as they are so light and easy to push😮
Nice. You’ve got a mix of cb125f models there though. The newer 2021 version would be out of the price range as they are still holding their value well. The engine is slightly different and expect better mpg from the post 2021 model. Cheers
under £2000?how does under £1000 sound? i got my ktm RC 125 for exactly £970 ; 2020 model so is hardly used for 3 years! undeniably ,RC 125 is one of the best 125s out there! i guess this is one of the perks of living in india!
New, probably not a half bad option for someone on a budget. Used would be a risky game to play with former owners being over enthusiastic 17 year olds that may have sent them up the road/left unmaintained in the wet and turned to rust. If you see a second hand one, check it over thoroughly.
The Hondas & Yamahas are fine for someone under 30. At 68, I would look like a child. I am considering a Lexmoto Michigan, Mutt Mongrel, Keeway Superlight or Keeway RK V125C
good morning - love 125s and these are perfect to cruise. Bought some the last three years; 2008 yamaha wr125x (good engine, breaks and suspension - seat not comfortable) 1973 Honda cb125k5 (because its so damned shit beautiful) 1982 Vespa PX125 (to find out what the magic of these rides is..still thinking) 2000 Yamaha trx125 (two stroke - powerful - very comfy on long distance) and for my 60th birthday last december two more bikes above 125cc. A 1983 Honda xl250r (my favourite these days) and my all time dream bike since 44 years; the legendary yamaha sr500 a 1984 model. Exept the SR500 all bikes were below 2000 Euros.
whats the best one for me i only like scrambler enduro type not 17 wanting a fake superbike look plus need to be able to do more raged turns down london streets lol
the red cb125f in this video was sold by some sketchy dude from kesgrave i passed on in a few months later a kid blew it up and sold it for spares... how strange...
these videos would be a lot better if they didnt have a cut and paste wikipedia/ i googled a bike and looked at a price on ebay feel. would be a lot better if you had someone who rode them and pointed out good features and the bad instead of just reading from spec sheets. I know this is not really a place people go for an in depth bike review but still the info just seems so vague and generic its hardly of any use to most people trying to make an informed choice about a bike. just appears to be recycled content for contents sake
The Honda is the savvy choice, but then again the CB125F is the dullest, commuteriest, most riding schooleriest bike out there. And under 2k is probably going to have a few blemishes. So you could do your 2k on an almost new Chinese time bomb and hope for the best 😂 The YBR might solve this dilemma to an extent, and is widely available at under 2k.
can't agree on dull per-se as it's built for a market, and at a price. I'm over 60 and love my 2021 model coz it's so cheap to run, uber reliable, fab mpg & quiet. I'm no speedster and spend most time riding time in the country on single track roads and lanes where you cant (and dont want to) nail it, or easy commuting in town, and the residual value even for ones that have had unschedule dismounts makes selling easy. a bigger bike would give me personally nothing more than i have already, except more cost and hassle, so it's horses for courses. GL
@@Bob-ts2tu yeah, I was just jesting really. If cheap reliable transport is the aim of the game, Honda really cornered the market with their small capacity bikes. I used to have an old cg125 and it was great fun.
@@robsmalley6616 ok tx for the reply. It's funny how many posts i've read on guy's who've moved up from 125's who always look back with fondness, and often wish they had'nt sold them, or even some move back to one years later - maybe there's an element of nostalgia, but you dont often hear people saying what hateful things they are lol, and as you say honda are the kings of small displacement bikes. @@bottletree33 what??! I'm almost 40 so not exactly a spring chicken myself. I figure if I state a security system in the bike, it brings the premium down to £600 but that's more than my car insurance at £400 with 10 years NCB. Prob cos I live in a high crime area 🙃
My 155cc Scooter would blow off all these. No wonder you guys can not get a rider in Moto Gp anymore if they all have to start off on one of these. You can ride a Ninja 400 in Australia on a learners license , we have Moto Gp riders..
All these bikes are cumplete rubbish compared to the all time king of 125s, the KMX. U just knock out the washer out of the carb inlet tract and you've got 24 horse power on tap. And believe me, 24 from a two stroke is worth 30 from a 4 stroke!

Oi what colour?
Sorry, I never replied. I got the Red. I believe it’s a little faster than the other colours.

One of the first things you said was two pistons on the front caliper. Thats important to older commuters like me. Thanks.

The Mutt looks good. The VanVan is the one for me here. I'd like a 200 as a runaround. The Herald is a looker, too.
Love the VanVan!

The other perk of living in India is you can't go to the local shop without being swarmed by 9500 other bikers

@6AlphaMikeCharlie9 plenty of cheap 125 over here people only keep them till cbt is over. 1500-2000 is for a good one
Thanks mate, nice1 appreciate Your list 👍
Thank you sir!
Excellent reviews on all the bikes. I totally enjoyed watching this video..Andre.
Thanks for the comment Andre!
Nice selection :-) Would have thought maybe the Honda XL125 Varadero, though hard to find a good one for £2000, lol
Was on my radar! Unfortunately did struggle to find one under the £2000 mark, but another fantastic choice!
In my opinion if you can find one for less than 2k the best 125 anyone can buy has to be the pre 2020 Yamaha MT125 it’s such a good bike
For sure i paid £1800 for my 2020 Yamaha r125 and its class
I have a Sinnis Hoodlum, 23 plate, that tops at 62mph on the flat and I've managed to get 142mpg mixed.
Wondering what your take on the lexmoto LXR is???

I got a cheap bluroc hero 125 scrambler for 1400€ i must say for a not very well known company its a great bike.
Older guy here looking for a daily commuter on cbt. Do I go for a van van as I love the retro look or a maxi scooter. Any advice welcome
what did you end up getting? :)
A Mutt for me
No AJS? Or do they carry a higher secondary value?
Motorbikes are like chips in a church. everyone is looking wierdly at you but deep down everyone wants one...
What web do you using?
I have a gsxr125 and trust me they are quick for what they are i have that which i got to work on and a 1000cc one to
Need a vid on 125cc with low (below 700mm) seat height, with mid pegs ✔️
Well done ❤🎉

Am nearly same age as you, recently bought the cbr125r in repsol colours. Some things are wasted on young people!
no they look fine
You can already pick up mt and xsr 125s for around 2k, they need to be listed here =)
Where do you usually find them

Unfortunate that the R125 is over the limit for cbt riders 😢 looks awesome
You'd struggle to find an r125 that isn't ridden by someone on just a cbt in the UK.. they're 11kw which is the legal limit for a learner bike
They are 11kw/15 horsepower. Allowed on cbt although any more than that isn’t allowed
Cbf125 is every training school’s geared bike to train people on.
What website do you use to look for second hand bikes.
A mix of AutoTrader, eBay and Facebook marketplace.
Bit more expensive but What’s your opinion on a Kawasaki Ninja 400?
the red cb125f in this video was sold by some sketchy dude from kesgrave i passed on in a few months later a kid blew it up and sold it for spares... how strange...
Bro,from what site you can get bikes on UK?
AutoTrader is a reliable marketplace.
my favuirite is the voge r125. max hp for cbt and the engine is built by the same comany that makes bmws engines
Issue with 125cc bikes for young people is the insurance. Honestly ridiculous
I'm very surprised the Sinnis Terrain 125 is not on the list.
Not under £2000
@@beemerdek my bad, second hand are 2k I suppose
Mutt Mongrel is so cheap it doesn't make sense to buy pre-loved. :D
Yamaha Enticer 125
what about the KeeWay Superlight 125?
Could of made the list! Often found under 2k.
the r125 is definitely not the fastest on this list.. i've raced one (on a private road) and the cbr125r was beating it with ease

What bout the suzuki gsxr125 or the gsxs125
If you can find one for under £2K def worth a go!

O.K.how about a video on say 250cc bikes for around three grand or less
We'll have a think!
How about new 125cc for under £3K?
One for us to think about!
I say bring back the two stokes
4 stroke 125s are so dull, id rsther spend a little more money and get a DT125R or something similar.
