Although you briefly touch on some of these points. I do think you could have put a little more emphasis on "easy mode". I get it all the time in the comment section. "Congrats on your Bblos Bow you beat the game... free win... blah blah blah." I truly don't think people understand just how bad this weapon is if you don't know how to use it. There is nothing free about mastering bow mechanics, understanding critical range and weak points and maintaining all of those things while also trying to have as much uptime as possible. (Every roll is a DPS loss.) Is it the best weapon in the game. Well of course it is, but the majority of the casual community is better off with a Pukie SnS in their hands than the Bblos bow. You can't just hand it to anyone and go... "congratulations... you beat the game."
Pinned! For sure, all the points you mentioned are 1000% accurate. The skill gap to use this weapon and positioning like in a pro stands out versus the others. Also aiming with the Gyro is a beast in itself, knowing where to swing it and tilt at the right angles, and much more. I'll likely do another video on it once more weapon updates come out.
100% true!!! Imo a pierce bow, like the bd bow, is hard to play against monsters that always jump in your face or those with rly tiny weakspots+ a high amount of agility....so y the bd bow is the strongest weapon in the game so far, on paper...but it's also rly hard to master...
@@florianl6300 I’m finding that jumping backwards instead of sideways for kulu is more effective as less likely to miss when the head moves up and down.
I'm still using the regular diablos bow. I'm at 9 1/5 and can take down most 8* pretty easily. I still think it's a pretty viable option for those who just want one weapon for everything, and the fact that you don't have to keep distance from monsters helps a ton.
@@CTomCooper Whatever gets you to taking out like the 1st half of the 8* monster lineup fastest, I think is best. It was just a ton less effort for me to farm regular Diablos and it was easier for me to obtain armor for that build. I'm using pukei hood, jagras mail, B Diablos braces, Rathalos Coil and Jyura Greaves (for focus 5 rising tide 2). Now that I feel comfortable with the 8*, I'm starting to throw resources into B Diablos and consistently saving up WGS.
Congrats on the 1000 Black Blos Journey and getting "The Bow" maxed out. Mine is at 10.2 and I need a few more R3, R4 and about 98 R1s to get it maxed out. A really great, fun weapon when you need a break from melee.

Black Diablos bow should be first one you want to build when there's Black Diablos event. It makes your life easier hunting materials for your elementals.
Surprised it wasn't mentioned in this video that because Black Diablos is Pierce is it hard for certain monsters. Ultimately this might be redundant with the point that it can't do 10* story by itself but personally with my 9.5 BBow currently, I switch over to Jyura Water bow for Rapid for Kulu/Anjanath and Legiana Ice for Tzitzi-Ya-Ku (when doing 8*+). I saw your response to the pinned comment that skill gap to use this weapon is a factor and I agree and just wanted to point out that Spread vs Pierce vs Rapid makes a big difference for a given player skill level versus a given monster.
Just got my blk Diablo bow to 10.5 today. It is just too good. Only bow I uses. Total worth the time and resource get it to 10.5 and can kill all 8 stars easy and most 9 stars. My main was long sword but once I got to 7.5 was tired of working multiple armor set and weapon to get the elements. I made the switch a few month ago to blk Diablo bow. I not even a bow players.

Yeah no need to nerf. If you farm/find enough of these then you 100% deserve the bow, lol. Not to mention a decent ice weapon to actually farm these things. Content creators aside, any regular person that isnt spending a lot of money will be farming this for the rest of the year. Also! Considering that Deviljho is the first monster that takes 150% increased damage from it's elemental weakness, we might see more high level monsters with boosted weakness that will compete/surpass the blos bow. Anyways great videos as always! My blos bow is at 7-2 and will probably stay there for a while. 😅
My black Diablos bow is at 10-1 and it creams all level 8 creatures. I love it. The new creatures seem to be designed to defeat this bow. They either keep coming right up to you or shoot water from a great distance which defeats the bow. I currently need 25 more tailcases to get 10-2. So glad they have black diablos in the game even is they are rare.
These 3 monsters have historically been a pain for ranged users even in the Main series games so there is zero correlation as to them being specific for Blos bow lol. If you've never used the other bows they have a much worse time taking on these monsters. There is a huge difference between charging from 3 to 4 with only 2 versus 3 blinks to charge sidestep. If anything this is the best bow to take them on even with elemental weakness into consideration (except for Deviljho who takes 150% from Elemental weakness)
I have grade 9 lvl2/5 bdb but sometimes i like to play my other weapons/builds. It will be great possibility if players could assign default build to each known monster to avoid repeatedly build change.
Quite generous my friend, but right, took me 240 black diablos to get a grade 9 lv 1 black bow , hope we have another event soon! The good side of this bow would be, this bow can do just ayhting, kill aything. So i keep other monster mats to try out other weapon kind for having some fun, like sns para, CB knock build, or other weapons ele build, etc
This is! Honestly it’s just a part break 3 build that works for me and still gives focus 5 so I can take out all 8 stars while breaking all of their parts for WGS (except tails because I still need a lot of practice targeting with dragon piercer)

Unfortunately, I do not have this bow, but I have a regular diablos, in addition, during the BD quest I try to destroy as much as possible to get extra materials, but it's hard because this bastard is still very hard.

Its not free wins or the only weapon you should use I've notice that the new monster loves to get close to you a lot therefore using a Bow becomes ineffective . Forcing me to make a melee weapon.
instead of nerfing the weapon, power creep other weapon into the game. in with the new, out with the old. maybe even give each weapon some kind of unique perks like how the cera has 1/1/4/4 charge compare to the other bows.
I wouldn't be in favor for every weapon. I would say give the other weapons an equivalent of something you have to work for that would match or surpass blos bow. I'm all for equality, but not laziness. If you go for the big fish you should get a big reward for your efforts.

Using the price to justify it's strength doesn't translate if the numbers are equal. And the argument shouldn't have even been put in the video if you think it's OK that weapons that cost the same are just fine being not as good. If it costs the same, make them better. One weapon is just better than the other forms of the exact same weapon. The Devs and whole community know, and just nothing is done about it? Get gud play bow and dual blades? Nice. At least someone has done the math and we know Bow is factually the best weapon. The true easy mode.

Also the other BD weapons are the strongest raw weapons in the game per their weapon type. They’ve never done what you suggested in main series so there’s no indication they would make it cheaper lol.

Focus 5 CE 2 WEX 2 is the best right now overall (Azure Rath helm, Rath Mail, Black Diablos Arms, Pink Rath Coil, Jyura legs)
