Helpful! Got it done, but I was surprised how difficult it is to perform this routine maintenance compared to other cars. Poor design by Nissan.
yes agree...Not the best design....
I hate Nissans
You don't have to REMOVE the glovebox! Get under there, unclick, pull out the old one, clean inside and put in the new one. I can't believe so many RUclipsrs say to take out the glove box. I'm 6"1 and can crawl under there w/a 2009 Altima...
@@mikeblaz Amen to this comment, don't make it harder than it is.
That’s why I buy Toyotas!
Thank you SO SO MUCH!!! I saved so much money by doing this myself, and it didn't even hurt my feminine hands😂! I love diy projects and I have always tried to do thing myself wherever possible. Thanks again! By far the easiest explanation of how to change this filter.
Way to go girl!!!!!..So glad it helped you...Keep up the good work!!!..and Thanks for sharing your comment..
What the hell kind of sadistic nutcase engineer came up with that design? Why.. In the hell.. Would they put something, that you are supposed to commonly change.. In a location like that?
Someone at Nissan needs to be horsewhipped.
Well said...I wish the Engineer who design this would be next to me while I change it..so I can ask..WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!! I feel they make it hard so we have to take it back to the dealership, and the can make more money..
I agree with you bro...makes no sense why they did it this way....
Lol wait till you have to change headlight bulb
Review Sam Care to explain?
I bet they made it that way to make it easier to have both left and right hand drive cars, with minimal changes in the design from one to the other.
Hi. Thank you. I ordered filter from Amazon for around 8.00 dollars. I told my husband this was more complicated than he originally thought. After watching this he was of course outside working on this and I know he was was frustrated. He did it. Thanks for your lets get this done attitude.
So glad to hear that the video help..Thanks for sharing that, I do appreciate that...Good luck with more projects going forward..As I always said.."things are easy to when you know what your doing"..Thanks again
I hope he doesn’t have to fill the curse word jar 😂

Thank you very much for this video! Very simple and to the point! I’m going to change mine today.
If you are flexable you MIGHT be able to change this filter without taken the glove compartment out..Tricky But can be done..You have to be able to reach far and under..Let me know how you make out
Great video ken!
2007 Nissan Altima: I have 0 experience with cars other than start it and go and I’ve done a few oil changes myself. I removed and “installed” the cabin air filter without taking off the glove compartment. Took about 5 minutes to rip it out (lol) then 10 minutes to fish back into the hole. The air flow arrow on the filter goes toward the rear of the car.
Nice job>> Good to hear...Things can be simple when you understand them or see someone else doing it..
Are you ready to change a head light??.I have that Video too..
Excellent, now i am going to change the cabin filter for my daughters Nissan Altima 2008. Thanks for posting
Great..Glad it can help...Good luck with your project
I think that you have the air flow direction backwards. The original filter has the arrow pointed towards the rear of the car and the replacement filter I bought has the removal tab at the bottom and the only way to insert the filter and still have access to the removal tab is if the arrow is pointing towards the rear. I checked a few other instructional videos and they too said that the air flow arrow points to the rear.
UGH..Thank you for pointing that out..
Thanks 😊👍
I did it, after watching this video it was really easy...Thanks my man..

Hi Ken! Thanks for your video!
I have a question... how often should I change this filter? - I know that it depends on how much I use the car and that I may find this info in the instruction manual, but what do you recommend?
Thanks!
Great Question!!..Depending on your use and the the area you live in..Most manufactures SUGGEST that you change your Cabin Filter somewhere between 15,000 to 30,000 miles or if not traveled that much, use once a year as a guide..Hope this helps..
nice video
Had to watch this again..its that time again
nicely done
yea..this will save me MONEY///
thank you for sharing this. i have a question regarding the filter cover. if it is not place in correctly would that trigger a sensor? i had my check engine light come on and the code (P0101) stated that the mass air flow is out of range.
Try diving the car 30 to 40 miles to see if the check engine light goes off..
thank you i'll try it out.
Also make sure you install it correctly, there's an arrow in the filter that indicates the airflow
The MAF sensor is under the hood between the engine air filter (not the same as the cabin air filter) and the engine. You could try purchasing some MAF sensor cleaner at your local auto parts store and cleaning the wires. You might also need to change the engine air filter.
Once i SAW THIS IT WAS SO EASY TO DO..
Easy wasnt first word that came to mind watching this
It can be challenging
Ive done this many times… you do not have to drop the glove box. Just lay on your back, reach up under the glove box and pull it out… easy to put it in as well. 5 minutes max
You are correct you don’t need to drop the glove box unless you have a big fat fingers like I do and it makes it so much easier
Nice video
I have to check mine..Thanks
I will give it a try..
just changed mine, it was absolutely disgusting!! lol thanks for the video :)
Oh Yea..When I did mine it was BAD too....Thanks for sharing..
saw your Video now I'm off to check my out..Thanks
Hi, is the cover of the slot supposed to click somehow? In my case there was no click, just entered easily. May be, i did not do it in right way?
I betting that no click just means that your cover fits much better then mine..Should not be a problem..
Thanks for sharing 👍🏼👍🏼
So glad to hear that it helped you..I Hope it saved you time and MONEY!!
nice info...good to know..
good video!!
Thanks
thanks
