You might want to mention the highly invasive growth habit of this plant. Many areas in the US are discouraging folks from planting it, because it is choking out native plants and trees that are important to our ecosystems!

"just remove the black plastic cap over the headlight - it'll pop right off" he says. NOT. NOT with both hands. NOT with that rubber thingy we aged ones use to open jars. NOT easy - NOT simple - NOT quick. NOT happenin' - but thanks for playing.
I now have to use a large set of Channel locks..I no longer and the strength to do it bare hand..UGH!!!!
@@Backyardprojectguy Had my mechanic do it for me- took him about 5 min. start to finish. He put 'some kind of' grease on the bottom notched area of the cap so future removal would not be problematic. Sorry - he talks fast - not sure what kind.
@@kwwlrox9187 Okay..I hope you watched him so next time you can do it..
@@Backyardprojectguy Dude has a shop and is constantly slammed due to the fact he does things like 'this'.... between phone calls, people in the lobby, others popping into his parking area with questions, AND while bouncing in and out/ under the hood for vehicle he's actually working on. In other words - he grabbed someone else's keys, took a mobile phone call, moved a car, did something under a hood - and while walking by my car stopped long enough to use everything I left on passenger's seat to swap out the headlight and grease the cap. Then checked little stuff for others - the guy IS AMAZING. Such a small job he didn't take time to come tell me it was done ;) and I had to force him to take a few bux for his effort. Short answer? Nope - I didn't watch. I knew 'how' - just couldn't budge the cap.
@@kwwlrox9187 Its nice to have a guy like that....Keep him close..
Thx man and good luck this upcoming season!!!

Can you split in the summer, mine is getting way too big for the area it's in. Obviously don't want to damage it replanting it in warm weather. Thoughts?
Yes you can ..But you will not get the growth out of it this year..It will develop a root base for next year
This was the most helpful of all instructions I've seen so far , except I did take the tip to slide a thin strap behind the mechanism to assist with sliding it out, because there is no way of obtaining a good hold on it. Maybe if I wore better grip gloves it wold work, but the strap behind it made it really easy. No need for wedging it open with some tool. Replacing the bulb and sliding it all back in again was the easiest. No problem. Thank you for the demo. With my 2014 Forester approaching 10 years and this is the first time I had to replace a bulb in the rear, I am now thinking of replacing all of them soon. Considering how easy the whole process is, I won't be delaying it much longer either. Thanks again.
Great so glad to hear that it help you
Hope this helps you save time and Money!!!
Good job Ken, easy instructions to follow.
you to NOT have to drop the glove box lol just squeeze it together and slide one end up then slide it in put the holder clip back on
You are correct...But Its hard for me to get my big fat fingers in there!!😄
