if you think about it, you can use the power brick from the apple watch since the charger for it is right there.

Why would you buy this to travel if you already have cords? I mean like you already have to plug it in with a cord and its prob slower so like why would you travel with this?
@@benjaminjuth I mean I guess one benefit is that you only take up one wall outlet instead of two. If you’re traveling with multiple people, outlets can get taken up fast, so this would help.

But if you want to use the charger to its full potential, YOU have to buy the 20w Apple brick. Any other charging brick, will only give you between 5w-7.5w.

The MagSafe can charge a dead iPhone to 50% in one hour. The $19 20W Power Adapter and USB-C to Lightning Cable (included with the box of your iPhone 12) can charge a dead iPhone to 58% in 30 minutes or 88% in an hour. So, just use wired charging. It’s cheaper and faster. If you don’t have many outlets, consider getting a power strip or dual port power adapter.

It's garbage. There have been better chargers out for years, and the very first certified MagSafe charger will be better than this.

With the Apple Event today, tomorrow is a US Holiday, Friday is iPhone launch day and Apple usually wouldn’t lift embargo on weekends when press isn’t working. So the fact Apple lifted the 12 Mini and 12 Pro Max embargo Monday, Thursday seems to be the most logical, 5 days before the HomePod Mini is officially out.

One thing I like about the Duo being lightning is that if you're travelling you can just bring one cable and have still have the choice to charge either just your phone with lightning or both phone and watch with the Duo.
Although Apple could've solved that by making the iPhone USB-C 😒

The fact that iJustine, THE iJustine called out Apple's dumb logic of 1) not adding a charging brick, and 2) that the cable is lightning to USB-C instead of being simply a USB-C cable on both ends, it makes you reflect on this
Apple's arrogance over NOT adding USB C in the iPhone is just crazy! Imagine how many cables, charges etc., Can be reduced for manufacturing and wasting for the lightning port. Even if they removed the power brick, we still need to get an extra cable only for the iPhone. This is super frustrating.

Wow that typing sound at the beginning brings back memories, iPhone 3 , 4 AHH......
It's expensive! But considering I bought the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Dock, I honestly don't think it's too bad. Comes with that, a type C to lightning cable (don't need more, but always handy), and a MagSafe wireless charger.
I remember getting the charging dock for my watch and being very skeptical of how it would hold up after a couple years of use, and it's actually done very well, maybe aside from a bit of discoloration, it's not the pure white it was when I got it, but it still looks good and works perfectly.
