    I own a Giulia and had it for a year. I have had 0 issues. I absolutely love it. I tuned mine and have a throat te controller. I enjoy that it’s unique. The only thing I dislike is that it’s hard to drive anything else after because I enjoy driving it so much.

    Great car! Beautiful, graceful, sporty, unique, luxurious, fun, stylish and reliable. They had a bad rap from the first model year. But I have a 2019 Ti Sport with all the packages and it’s been amazing. I am an enthusiast. I have had more cars than some people have had shirts, and this car get the most looks and compliments than any car I’ve ever had. It starts many conversations and everyone I’m friends with wants to drive it. Needless to say, I recommend this car wholeheartedly

    I have a 2017 Giulia TI Sport Q4 in Misano Blue with 37k miles on it. I absolutely love it. Driving dynamics are better than my 2016 F30 BMW, and the adaptive suspension is better than on my 2017 Corvette. I do wish it had a bit more power, somewhere in between what it has now, and the fire breathing 503HP of the Quadrifoglio. The looks, although subjective, are fantastic and set it apart from anything else on the road. I've had more spontaneous conversations at gas stations and parking lots about this car than any other vehicle I've owned. The fact that Ferrari engine and drivetrain engineers made this car happen from a clean sheet of paper in just two years and have it be as good as this is nothing short of amazing. Unfortunately, Alfa's history of reliability issues with past models coupled with its absence in the US market for about 2 decades prior to the reintroduction of the Giulia nameplate have resulted in low sales. There is however, something nice about having a relatively low volume Italian sport sedan though. According to Alfa Corporate there are only 3 other 2017's with my same options in existence.

    • @JoshuaClaypool
      @JoshuaClaypool 3 года назад +5

      @@MGReviewsBlog I've remedied my need for a bump in power with an aftermarket piggyback ECU. Bumps it up to about 320HP and 350TQ with most of the gains in the low and mid range. It really wakes the car up and makes it an absolute joy to drive.
      No major issues, just a couple of minor electronic quirks. The infotainment system on rare occasions will reboot itself, and there was a sensor voltage fault that resolved on its own.

    I've had my '19 Giulia Q4 Ti for nearly 4 years now. Outstanding car! The only problem I've had was the battery recently died with no warning. But, my dealership towed it, replaced the battery (under warranty!) and even drove it back to me at no charge! So I'm a very happy camper. And I think it's the only car I've ever owned that I somehow love more as time goes on. And I've owned BMWs, MB, Volvos, VWs, SAAB's and even the mighty Pontiac G8 GT. I've had lots of very nice cars, and my Giulia is the nicest. Alfa Romeo hit this one out of the park!

    I'm driving since september 21 my second Giulia véloce, exactly like yours in verde visconti, but with a black interior and red brakes. A really stunning car with a lot of essential daily driver qualities: elegant, roomy, with the perfect mix of comfort and sportiness! The steering is so good that no other car represents an option! By the way: I did 90.000km with my first veloce in grigio lipari since 2017 without any major trouble. So it's also a reliable and maybe the best car that Alfa ever build. And yes: I really love it!

    Non-reliability for Alfa’s seems to be a myth, at least in this century, possibly parroted from reviewer to reviewer. I’ve had my Alfa 156 JTS for 19 years and have been so happy with it that I’m now looking at buy another Alfa.

      After hearing the comments from some Alfa owners on this video, I'd fully consider buying a Giulia in the future if I were in the market for a car like that. I think you're right, the reliability myth has been exacerbated by some certain popular journalists. Most of the owners that have commented on here have had nothing but good reliability feedback. Thanks for sharing your story!

    It's worth mentioning the extensive use of aluminium to reduce weight and thereby improve economy and performance. It has similar acceleration and top speed to cars like the 5 litre Mustang and the 4 litre Maserati whilst doubling their miles per gallon in every driving mode. Personally I prefer a wolf in sheeps' clothing than has NO loud & snarly exhaust and no other signifiers of 'performance'. It just drives beautifully on every type of road and in all conditions, in extreme comfort and safety. A true driver's car that's also practical, reliable and beautiful.
    My previous cars were Alfa 156 & 159 Sportwagons and 164 V6 3.0.

      I believe I got it from Car & Driver. I just did a quick Google search and I know what you're referring to. I've had this conversation with someone from Europe before on another video. Most North American publications are quoting 13 cu-ft (368 L) of cargo space while the European publications are quoting 480 L. I think cargo volume and passenger volume may be measured differently between the two markets. It was the same discrepancy with the other video that someone asked me about it (BMW iX). Most European reviews quoted more cargo capacity than the Canadian & USA press materials, from the manufacturers, quoted.

For the rest nothing special for almost 5 years now. I think the percentage of 'problemcars' will be about the same with the competitors.
